Hero Hack: Reversing Heroes and Raising Harem-Chapter 250: Just a Fanboy
Chapter 250: Just a Fanboy
The mutant stood again, body twitching, eyes burning red through the cracks in its mask.
Its chest core pulsed fast, too fast.
Tubes along its spine sparked. It let out a broken roar.
Zain’s eyes narrowed. "Its body’s giving out... but it’s still moving."
Velra tilted her head, one foot sliding back into stance.
"Guess it doesn’t know when to die."
The mutant charged.
It moved faster than before, reckless, wild.
Its claws slashed the ground, sending sparks into the air.
Velra dodged left.
A claw grazed her shoulder, cutting her jacket and skin.
She hissed, jumped back, and twisted in midair.
[Velvet Demon Kick]
She struck the side of its head, knocking it sideways—but the creature didn’t stop.
It slammed its fist into her chest, sending her flying into the wall.
Zain watched silently.
Velra coughed, blood in her mouth. She wiped it away and stood slowly.
The mutant charged again.
Velra sidestepped, but not fast enough.
A second hit smashed into her ribs. She staggered, breath short.
But her eyes narrowed, and her smile returned.
[Velvet Demon Body]
Her body adapted.
Each hit made her faster, sharper. Her movements grew tighter.
She ducked a wild swing, spun under a backhand, and kicked upward into its jaw.
[Velvet Demon Kick]
Ether pulsed from her heel, spreading poison through the crack in its mask.
The mutant roared again—louder, angrier.
Its chest core flared. The glow turned red.
[Overload Detonation]
It exploded outward again, point-blank.
The blast slammed Velra into the ground, and smoke and heat were everywhere.
She lay still for a moment.
Zain stepped forward, fists clenched.
But Velra pushed herself up.
Her hands trembled, but her eyes glowed bright pink.
"Still here," she said, voice low. "Not done yet."
The mutant screamed and went fully berserk.
[Berserk Surge Mode] – Its emergency mutation protocol.
Its arms grew longer. Claws sharpened. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
The mask split open, revealing a twisted face beneath, part metal, part raw muscle.
It charged again, mad and blind.
Velra didn’t move.
She breathed in deeply.
[Velvet Demon Breathing]
The corrupted ether in the room flowed to her.
Her wounds stopped bleeding. Her strength returned.
[Velvet Demon Zone]
The air around her shimmered again, filled with poison mist and pressure.
The mutant stepped in and staggered.
Its swings slowed. Its eyes blinked wildly.
Velra moved.
She danced around its claws, landing hit after hit.
[Velvet Demon Kick] to the leg—crack.
To the ribs—snap. To the exposed jaw—shatter.
With each hit, her poison built up.
[Velvet Demon Ether]
The corrupted energy seeped into the beast’s systems, melting wires, breaking tissue, frying what little brain it had left.
The mutant roared one last time.
Then its core sparked—flashed—and popped.
It fell forward, crashing into the floor.
Smoke poured from its mouth.
The red glow faded. Its body twitched... then stopped.
Zain stepped closer, eyes scanning the corpse.
"Dead for real this time."
Velra stood over it, chest rising and falling. "It better be."
Zain nodded. "You took damage."
Velra smiled faintly. "I took enough."
He offered his hand. She took it and pulled herself up.
Zain looked at the broken lab.
"To think that thing was already top-tier in B-Zone..." he said.
"But here? Just one of many."
Velra wiped a bit of blood from her cheek. "Makes sense."
"The ether in A-Zone is better. If that thing went back to B-Zone, it’d be weaker. Slower."
Zain crossed his arms. "Still. It was an impressive experiment."
"Controlled power. Solid body. Strong instincts."
He turned toward the next hallway. "Let’s see what’s deeper inside."
They walked down a narrow corridor. Pipes lined the ceiling.
More sealed doors passed by, but none looked important—until they found a heavier one, wide and reinforced.
Zain pushed it open.
It wasn’t a lab. It was an office.
Dust floated in the air. A cracked desk sat in the center. Shelves were filled with old data drives.
A single working terminal blinked faintly with power.
Velra stepped forward and rolled her shoulders.
"Let me check the files, Master."
Zain nodded. "Go ahead. You’re better with machines than I am."
Velra moved behind the desk and tapped on the terminal.
Her fingers moved fast, pulling up old maps, access logs, and research notes.
The screen flashed through pages of encrypted data.
A few minutes passed before she paused.
"Found something," she said.
"There’s a map of the facility. One of the exits is still functional. It leads upward."
Zain gave a small nod. "Good. That’ll be our path."
Velra didn’t move from the screen.
"But that’s not all."
Zain tilted his head. "What else?"
Velra turned to him. "These experiments... they weren’t Syvarn’s."
Zain’s brow furrowed. "Not his?"
Velra pointed to the signature on the files.
"They were started by someone else. All the core research here belongs to another name."
"Who?" Zain asked.
She tapped the name and let it appear on the screen.
"Doctor Skeroth."
Zain stared at the name. "Never heard of him."
Velra leaned back against the desk.
"Me neither. But from the notes, it looks like he was one of the higher-ups in the Beastkin Brood."
Zain stepped closer, arms behind his back. "And Syvarn?"
Velra smiled faintly. "Just a junior researcher."
"He found Skeroth’s journals and started copying the work. The stuff in B-Zone? All based on these."
Zain nodded slowly. "Makes sense now. No wonder he looked so excited when he got my serums."
He narrowed his eyes. "Syvarn was smart. But not creative. He could tweak, adjust... not invent."
Velra smirked. "That’s why he fell for your bait."
"He thought your serum was a breakthrough. So he made a bunch of mutants..."
"All for you to kill and harvest."
Zain smiled. "And thanks to that, the Heavenly Demon Sect gained power in B-Zone."
He turned toward the hallway again.
"Let’s keep going."
Velra shut the terminal down and followed. "Time to see what the real A-Zone looks like."
They walked out of the office, one goal in mind—climb higher, take control, and make A-Zone their next domain.
