Highschool DxD: Crawling x Chaos-Chapter 92: Night for Knights

After my tryst with Sona, we fell asleep, woke up, did a few more rounds before coming down to have breakfast with everyone. Some might think it would be weird to go and have breakfast with the father and sister of the girl you had sex with, but Sona’s dad did not make it a problem so neither did I. And Serafall arrived after everyone else, none the wise.
We talked about some stuff, and as a sign of friendship and bond between the Sitri and Leviathan family I decided to give them the right to produce Yu-Gi-Oh merchandise and official licensed cards in the territory and hold sanctioned tournaments with prizes there.
Yeah, as it turns out, Yu-Gi-Oh is popular popular now. Which was honestly fun to see, I even heard from Sebastian(Lord Sitri asked me to call him that) that the younger devils who cannot participate in rating games have taken to challenging each other to Yu-Gi-Oh duels to settle minor disputes and for fun.
So me allowing this was essentially allowing the Sitri family in on a monopoly, signifying the relationship between the families.
I’d like to see someone just fucking try to call me an immature lord who cannot fulfill their duties when I’ve already allied with both the Gremory and the Sitri in less than half a year. Katerea is on thin ice.
Speaking of, I should probably get to releasing Season 2 and introduce some God Cards. All in due time, I plan to make it the 4 Satan cards, one designed each after the Satans that currently rule the underworld. I even got permission, and all it took was mentioning it to Serafall during breakfast.
...Yes, she did bolt out of the breakfast table, teleported to the house of each Satan and demanded they let me use their liking for my Card Game, and all of them agreed without problems. Even Asmodeus and Ajuka. Though, Sirzechs did directly request me to make his card cool so that he could present it to his son as a surprise.
Now, instead of the Egyptian God Cards we have:
Satan of Annihilation, Lucifer.
Satan of Bastion, Asmodeus.
Satan of Innovation, Beelzebub.
Magical Girl Levia-tan.
Kaiba is rolling in his grave right now.
After breakfast, I started on the production of Yu-Gi-Oh Season 2 - Underworld Monarchs back in Kuoh with my Void Clone, which I could use and have two slots left over. While that was happening, I left the Sitri house since Serafall informed me that Ajuka was done with my Evil Pieces and wanted to meet me personally to deliver them, so that’s where I was right now.
"Lord Leviathan, I’m glad you were able to make time out of your busy day to meet me."
"No, no, the pleasure is all mine, Lord Beelzebub."
Using the etiquette I had thanks to Intermediate Leadership I greeted Ajuka in his own guestroom after Serafall teleported me there. Unlike Sirzechs and Serafall who I knew from unusual circumstances, this guy was an actual Satan, and he felt like it too.
He was tall with slicked back green hair and held an inscrutable gaze. Paired with his attitude, it gave him a mysterious air that made it hard to gauge him. At least he seemed amicable enough as we sat down facing each other while his butler brought in refreshments.
"Do call me Ajuka, I do not desire to fight Serafall over making her husband refer to me like that. Besides, she is a friend. I’d feel awkward otherwise."
"I’ll do that, thank you, Ajuka."
He nodded and pulled out an ornate wooden box out of thin air, probably some form of advanced spatial magic. He held it out towards me, and I received the box with bated breath. Opening it, inside I found a set of chess pieces made of red crystal gilded in gold trim.
"Here are your Evil Pieces, congratulations. Use them wisely, I have included a user’s manual and some personal tips inside of it Unluckily, none of them are mutated pieces, but I have a feeling you will not need to rely on such a thing."

I nodded and bowed slightly, he went out of his way to give it to me personally despite probably being painfully busy. And because he just gave me a platinum ticket. Ajuka was now firmly a good guy in my books.
Now then, how do I breach the topic of asking him for a favor? Ajuka is the greatest artificer in the Underworld and I needed his services. But I have a feeling he won’t refuse my request due to its nature.
"Thanks. But I’d like to ask for your help in something, if’s alright."
He piqued a curious eyebrow, I could see curiosity behind his eyes.
"I assume it’s not something mundane, considering your peculiar abilities. Color me interested."
My shadow expanded and spat out the Wand of the Ice Fairy, Ajuka narrowed his eyes and I felt magic fluctuate ever so slightly from his body as he scrutinized the wand.
"How intriguing, it’s almost like Asgardian craftsmanship but not at the same time. Scandinavian? I can see resemblances everywhere, but I cannot pinpoint any actual direct correlation. How quaint."
He mumbled to himself and I continued with my request.
"This is called the Wand of the Ice Fairy, an item given to me by my ability. It boosts the power of ice spells and abilities of the wielder. Can you turn it into a wedding ring without compromising its abilities and special properties?"
Ajuka rubbed his chin in deep thought.
"May I take a look?"
Agreeing, I handed over the wand. He carefully inspected the item in his hands. Even creating a cube of ice with its help while humming thoughtfully.
"Alright, I can work with this. And I can see your intentions, this would indeed be a great boost to Serafall’s strength and an excellent wedding ring. I’ll turn it into a proper ring as per your specifications. I won’t take payment for this. Consider it my wedding gift to Serafall."
He stood up and dusted himself off, a slight smile tugged on his lips as he looked down on me.
"It seems like Serafall has finally found herself a proper man, good for her. I’ll make sure your ring comes out exceptional. Now excuse me, I have work to do. Farewell Yuta, my attendants will deliver this to your residence upon completion."
Damn, how is it that all the Satans are cool guys while the first angels I ever meet are fallen bastards that try and kill me and church girls that try and kill me?
Though, speaking of church girls, I have an idea on what to do with these evil pieces.

After depositing the Evil Pieces in the Shadow Storage, I went to take a nap in the underworld before focusing on Kuoh. Now that I was alone, I brought up the interface and looked at the two tickets I had accumulated over the last 24 hours.

Eh, neither are great, I’ll take the Swamp Ring, maybe I’ll get a Peerage Member one day that uses fire abilities, or I get fire abilities myself. The green ring dropped into my hands and I dropped it straight into the Shadow Storage. That reminds me of the Ring of Swiftness still swimming in there. I should probably hand that over to one of my future knights.
Now then, platinum item, those are usually good.

An ornate key that, when turned in a sufficiently large space, creates a portal leading into a pocket dimension that is 5 km x 5 km x 5km in size, which contains a small mountain inside that has natural hot springs, a small bamboo forest, and overall a great view. The mountain itself cannot be descended from due to the isolated space; the hot springs contain properties that slightly accelerate natural healing and mana recovery automatically replenish themselves. The gate that leads outside the dimension is always open and leads to where the entrance was last opened.
Huh.
That’s... something.
I looked at the ornate key in my hands, a whole pocket to do as I pleased with? That sounded like a great thing to have. A hidden base I could put stuff in that could not be disturbed by anyone or could be intruded on. And an onsen on demand that my girls and I could relax in sounded quite nice.
...Huh, now I have a place to set the Nymph Waterfall. It has been sitting in my Gacha Space for quite a while now. I never wanted to really deal with it before this but this sounds like the perfect place to put it.
Now with those tickets out of the way and the results secured safely in my shadow storage, I should bring up what I wanted to.
It took me mere moments to round up Irina and Xenovia, I sat them down in front of me in the living room while the others were away. I didn’t think they would refuse too badly, but I was asking former exorcists and devout Vatican girls to turn into Devils for my sake.
"What’s up Yuta-kun? Something wrong?"
"Are you finally going to take our virginities? I can feel the serious atmosphere."
"Xenovia!"
Ignoring their usual bickering, I leaned forward and spoke in a serious tone.
"Xenovia, Irina, I’m just going to say it outright. I have finally received my evil pieces. And I’d like to ask you two to become my Knights. I cannot think of anyone else I’d rather be my knights than you two."
"I’ll do it."
Xenovia said without hesitation, making Irina balk at her friend.
"Xenovia! How can you just say that!? I know we have abandoned the church but..."
As Irina trailed off, Xenovia sighed.
"Irina, as things are, we will be left behind. I am getting restless staying at home all day and being just a normal schoolgirl. If possible, I’d like to be useful to Yuta, I owe him everything and I want to repay that debt. If becoming a devil and his knight will allow that, then so be it. I also view it as a fresh start on my life."
Xenovia stated her words with conviction, though Irina’s lips still trembled with indecision and hesitation.
"I-"
Not allowing the seed of doubt to fester, I placed my hands on Irina’s shoulders and gave her a sincere look.
"Irina, I’d like you to become a devil and my knight to stand by my side, I want you to be able to stand beside me and even protect me when it comes down to it and I also want you to be able to protect yourself. If you truly don’t want to become a Devil, that’s fine, I will not hold it against you. But will you trust me with this? Besides, even if it doesn’t work out, you can change back. I cheat like that y’know?"
That made Irina smile a little as she snorted.
"You say the most ridiculous things with a straight face, Yuta-kun. But thank you. I already decided to become your girlfriend. So I cannot back down now! Sorry for showing a face like that Yuta-kun! Xenovia! I will no longer hesitate!"
She jumped up and pounded on her chest with a confident expression, making me chuckle.
"Thank you for trusting me Irina, I’ll make sure that trust was not misplaced. Now then, welcome to my peerage, you two. My Knights."
I held the two red Knight Pieces in my hands and held them out towards Irina and Xenovia.
A/N: Ajuka is a real one, and Yuta is not holding back on his proposals, that small stack of rings he has in his inventory are going to be used one way or the other. Speaking of, these item rolls are certainly something, a ring for a future bird wife and an entire pocket dimension, but hey, I did not forget about Nymph Waterfall baby! It was just an underdog! It was a setup all along!
Irina and Xenovia getto! Yuta will finally start building a proper peerage, because while he has decent power himself, his girlfriends do not. So he’ll put some focus into strengthening them so that they do not have to rely on his as much anymore. And maybe pawn off some things he no longer uses.
