His Beloved Treasure-Chapter 1598 - 447: Pushed Out the Door (Part 2)
Mu Yichen’s voice, powerful and captivating, quickly softened Qin Mu’s heart, which had just felt like a solid fortress, into a puddle of mush.
So afterward, she locked the door and got into his car, leaning against his broad shoulders as they drove home together.
On the way, the vast whiteness of the snow made it impossible not to glance at it a few more times.
"Why is there so much?"
It seemed like someone was scattering white feathers from the sky to the ground.
Mu Yichen didn’t know either; he just predicted that the snow would stop after midnight. However, tonight wasn’t too cold, so hopefully, there wouldn’t be any accidents later.
"Doesn’t it look like something out of a movie?"
Qin Mu turned to him and asked. Just as Mu Yichen was about to respond, her phone rang. Qin Mu glanced at her phone, and her brows furrowed instinctively.
"Anna!"
Qin Mu whispered.
Mu Yichen turned to look at her, then at her phone, before softly steering the car onto a side road and stopping.
"Give it to me!"
He said, unfastening his seatbelt and reaching for the phone in her hand, answering the video call.
Outside, the snow was still dancing, but the moment Mu Yichen connected the video, it was immediately hung up.
Mu Yichen...
Qin Mu leaned slightly to peek at his hands and then, for some reason, felt a sudden urge to laugh.
"Ha!"
Mu Yichen sneered, then used Qin Mu’s phone to call Qiao Yi.
On the other end, Qiao Yi and Xi Meng were also on their way home, with Qiao Yi driving and Xi Meng answering the call: "Hello! Boss!"
"Cancel the contract with Anna!"
Xi Meng was stunned, and the call was already disconnected.
On this end, Qin Mu was also staring at him in disbelief: "Terminate?"
"The hotel commercial you helped with last time was great; you’ll be the spokesperson for this car advertisement now too."
Mu Yichen told Qin Mu sternly.
Qin Mu’s mind suddenly buzzed with noise, unsure why.
"Wait! If you cancel the contract with her like that, won’t you have to pay a compensation fee?"
"I don’t care about that bit of money!"
"But I do!"
Qin Mu immediately replied.
Mu Yichen looked at her, puzzled.
"If Anna truly likes me, she’s already bought a house in Rongcheng. Even if you terminate the contract, you’ll lose hundreds of thousands in advertising fees. For her, there’s no loss at all."
Qin Mu gently squeezed his arm, her expression thoughtful.
Mu Yichen remained silent, listening to her continue.
"Furthermore, if she really likes both men and women, and is infatuated with me, do you think cutting ties like this will make her give up? She’s already bought a house here, and I’m still designing dresses for her. Are you sure you want to do something that benefits others without any profit for yourself?"
Qin Mu further analyzed and asked him seriously.
Mu Yichen remained silent, just staring straight at her.
Qin Mu also gazed at him, but then instinctively grabbed her phone and dialed the number he had called earlier.
It was Xi Meng who picked up again, still not fully recovered, having just told Qiao Yi that Mu Yichen planned to terminate the contract with Anna.
"Hello?"
Xi Meng answered, her nerves still tense.
"It’s Qin Mu. Xi Meng, listen, no matter what Mu Yichen said earlier, it doesn’t count!"
"Huh?"
Xi Meng felt her mind drift into space.
"Let’s leave it at that. We can talk more when free! Bye!"
Qin Mu decisively finished speaking and hung up, while Mu Yichen couldn’t help but open the car window.
The cold air wafted in, and his gaze was as chilly as the wind outside, staring at the vast expanse of white snow which hid the city’s scenery.
"We can use passive defense; when the enemy doesn’t move, we don’t move!"
Qin Mu suddenly chuckled softly, squeezing his arm again as a reminder.
Mu Yichen felt a bit comforted from his previously gloomy mood; Qin Mu was always more composed and calm than him in dealing with emotional matters.
Move forward, continue onwards!
Mu Yichen drove ahead without uttering another word.
Qin Mu watched him, seeing that he had calmed down, and sat up straight again.
Snow had already piled up in lower areas, and Qin Mu quietly watched outside.
For her, having a woman interested in her was actually much less dangerous than being admired by a man.
Of course, as for Mr. Mu, it’s complicated.
When the two returned home, the snow had turned the untouched paths in the yard into a layer of white, crushed by the passing car, creating an unusual feeling.
The two little ones were playing outside, spreading their arms wide like butterflies, spinning in circles endlessly.
