Chapter 532: Start to move

Massimo’s body has not been counted as many whiskeys, since returning from Doctor Dorothea’s place an hour ago Massimo chose alcohol as an outlet for his emotions.

"I can’t just wait like this, Martin. I have to do something soon, I can’t let Gina marry that bastard," Massimo said hoarsely with bloodshot eyes. "Gina is still my wife, how could I let her marry Diego."

Martin took a deep breath. "I understand sir, but we have to be careful. We can’t be careless, the risk is too big, sir."

"What risk?"

"Currently Madam is pregnant and what I heard is that a pregnant mother should not be under stress, so we must act with caution so as not to disturb madam, sir," replied Martin carefully. "That’s why we must plan carefully, sir."

Reminded of Gina’s pregnancy made Massimo close his eyes immediately, his heart beating very fast as he imagined what Gina would experience if he was disturbed.

"Then what should I do, Martin? I can’t just sit around watching my wife get married to someone else," Massimo said in frustration, his voice shaking as he spoke. "Gina is mine, she’s my wife."

"At this point Charlie is the only person who can help us, sir."

Massimo raised his face to stare blankly at Martin who was standing in front of him. "Charlie?"

"Yeah, only Charlie can help us."

"Hasn’t he answered your message yet?"

Martin shook his head. "No sir, neither the messages nor the emails I have sent have been responded to by him."

"Can’t you contact him directly?"

"No, sir. Charlie’s number I have is a text-only number, not a number to talk to," Martin quickly replied.

"Fuck!!"

Massimo shouted again loudly, it was so suffocating. Waiting and doing nothing made him even more frustrated, the thought of Gina being Diego’s wife made Massimo less calm.

Martin, who couldn’t do much, just watched Massimo destroy the bottles of alcohol that were still untouched on the table, instantly a strong aroma of alcohol wafted through Massimo’s study as all the contents of the bottles that Massimo crushed came out of their shapeless containers.

The sound of a cell phone ringing with a loud vibration vibrating the work desk made Massimo suddenly wake up from his sleep. His hands immediately moved, reaching for the cellphone which had been lying on the table since coming back from doctor Dorothea’s place. With misty eyes Massimo looked at the screen of his cell phone.

Doctor Dorothea.

"Mr. Massimo." Doctor Dorothea greeted in a voice that sounded very soft to Massimo’s ears. "Gina wants to talk to you."

Hearing Gina’s name being called, Massimo’s consciousness immediately returned. Massimo immediately sat up straight, ready to wait for Gina.

"Massimo..."

"My love, yes it’s me baby," answered Massimo quickly. "Please change to video call mode, I want to see your face. I beg you."

Without arguing, Gina then changed the call mode to video call mode. Instantly Massimo’s smile grew wide when he saw Gina’s face on the screen of his cellphone.

"My love." Massimo immediately called Gina his "unfortunate" name. "Are you ok?"

Gina shook her head. "I don’t want to marry Diego sob... help me Massimo."

Massimo’s chest immediately felt tight when he heard Gina’s words, more than seven years of knowing Gina, this was the first time he heard Gina asking him for help.

"Be patient, honey. I’m looking for a way to stop your father’s crazy plans," Massimo said quietly, trying to hide his nervousness.

"I don’t want to marry Diego, I-I..."

"I love you too and love you very much." Massimo immediately cut off Gina’s words gently. "I won’t let you fall on that damn bastard, don’t be afraid. I’ll definitely pick you up home."

Gina’s cheeks flushed red at Massimo’s words, there was a tinge of warmth that ran through her chest which had been so tight since last night.

"All you have to do right now is sit back and not think about anything, because I’m taking care of everything. There’s nothing you need to be afraid of," said Massimo again trying to calm Gina who looked so tense.

Gina nodded slowly, confirming Massimo’s words. Massimo’s lips grew wider as he watched Gina obey, Massimo gently asked Gina to hand over what was in her hand to Doctor Dorothea. Massimo got to know the current situation at the Sanders house from doctor Dorothea.

Gina obediently returned the cell phone in her hand to doctor Dorothea, doctor Dorothea knew that Massimo wanted to talk to her. That’s why she’s currently wearing a pair of wireless Bluetooth in her ears, even though she knows that Gina’s room has good soundproofing, but Doctor Dorothea doesn’t want to be careless. She still chose to use the tool for safety.

As soon as the cell phone was back in her hands, Doctor Dorothea was immediately involved in a serious conversation with Massimo. Just as doctor Dorothea had guessed earlier, Massimo inquired about everything that happened in the Sanders house in detail. No longer having spies in the Sanders house was so frustrating for Massimo right now, that’s why he asked Doctor Dorothea everything over and over. Doctor Dorothea, who already knows and understands Massimo’s character, seems to be patiently answering all the questions that come out of Massimo’s lips, there is no hint of anger from Doctor Dorothea at this time.

"Damn it, that kid really seems to be looking for trouble with me," Massimo said with emotion, hearing the words of doctor Dorothea who announced that tonight there would be a ring exchange ceremony between Gina and Diego, Massimo’s emotions could not be contained anymore.

Doctor Dorothea smiled a little, she knew that Massimo was in so much pain right now. "I hope you find the best way to solve this problem, sir."

"Calm down, doc. Whatever I will do to thwart this crazy plan, I will not let my son become the property of the Sanders. They have to go through my corpse first if they want to turn my son into a Sanders," Massimo growled with emotion. "Right now all my men have surrounded the house in two layers, if I wanted I could storm right now."

Doctor Dorothea shook her head quickly. "No, don’t do that. It’s too risky, sir. You’ll be in trouble with the law if you do such a terrible thing."

"To hell with the law, I don’t care about anything. As long as I can save my wife and my son, I will take all the roads, even if they are filled with painful embers and thorns," said Massimo firmly. "I’m not messing around this time."

"I know you’re very confused right now, but please use common sense. Think things through before you act, after all Julian Sanders is Gina’s real father, your father-in-law. You can’t be rude to him, unless you want to make Gina worse then just do what you want." Doctor Dorothea tried to warn Massimo carefully.

Massimo was silent for a moment, he processed the words that had just come out of Doctor Dorothea’s lips well. Massimo had almost forgotten Julian’s status, his anger at his father-in-law made Massimo almost order his men to harm him.

Because there was nothing to talk about, Doctor Dorothea ended her conversation with Massimo, although at first Massimo didn’t want to because he still wanted to talk to Gina. But he finally gave up and had to bury his longing for Gina, which was still so overwhelming, knowing that Gina still loved him made Massimo’s enthusiasm to take Gina back home even greater.

"Martin!!!"

Martin, who was standing in front of the door to Massimo’s office, which had been so messy, went inside quickly, meeting Massimo, who had just shouted his name.

"Sir."

"We’re getting ready to go to the Sanders house, I want to wait for all the information in front of the house." Massimo was so firm when he spoke.

"Are you sure, sir?" Martin asked carefully.

"100% sure."

"Okay, I will prepare everything. Please wait a moment," Martin said so politely.

Massimo nodded slowly, seeing that Martin immediately left in front of Massimo to do what he had just been ordered to do. As soon as Martin left, Massimo was then ready. With an efficient movement Massimo brought several important items to accompany him to where his wife was, although he didn’t have any bad intentions, Massimo decided to keep his best gun tucked behind a black blazer that was already well attached to his body.

Feeling that his preparations had been completed, Massimo immediately left his office following Martin who was preparing accommodation to go to the Sanders family’s house. By the time Massimo arrived in front of his house, all the preparations had been completed. Martin, who had just put on the earpieces, looked surprised when he saw Massimo standing in front of him.

"Can we go now?"

"Yes sir, everything is ready to go," replied Martin firmly.

Without another word, Massimo got into his car and sat quietly in the back seat. Not long after, Martin did the same. The difference is that he took a seat next to the driver who had been preparing for a while. As soon as all the bodyguards got into the car, the car in the front row immediately headed for the highway followed by several other cars behind. Massimo, who was sitting in the third car, looked so tense, all his bad thoughts were running through his head right now. Never in his life had Massimo been so nervous as he was now. This is the first time Massimo looks so tense and not confident in dealing with problems.

If it wasn’t Gina and the baby at stake, maybe Massimo would have calmed down. But now that it was Gina and the baby in her belly that were at stake, Massimo became extremely panicked.

"Charlie read my message, sir," Martin said, suddenly breaking the silence in the car.

Massimo’s previously closed eyes opened instantly. "What are you saying?"

"Just now Charlie read the message I sent him, hopefully after this we’ll get some good news from him."

It was the first time that Massimo could breathe a sigh of relief without a burden clogging his chest, the words Martin had just spoken had a huge effect on him, who was waiting for the good news at this time.

"Did he reply to your message?" asked Massimo nervously, unable to hide his obvious anger.

"No sir, maybe Charlie is reading all my messages well right now. Since Charlie is a very thorough person, he certainly won’t act recklessly," Martin answered carefully, trying to keep Massimo’s feelings from rekindling with anger.

"Did you include that important file in the order you gave him?" asked Massimo coldly.

Martin shook his head. "Not all of them, sir. I’m just providing some evidence of Diego’s involvement in the crash that killed Barbara Sanders, sir."

"Ok, I think that’s enough. If Charlie is indeed a smart and conscientious person as you mentioned before then he will definitely contact you immediately to confirm the truth of the information," Massimo said flatly, seeming to praise Martin’s act of caution.

Martin did not respond to Massimo’s words again because they had almost reached their destination, as instructed earlier. The two cars in front of the car carrying Massimo stopped quite far from the front gate of the Sanders house, they had to keep a safe distance so that the guards on duty at the gate did not notice their arrival.

"Wait for further instructions and don’t make any moves, my precious wife and sob are in there. I don’t want anything to happen to them," Massimo said hoarsely, mentioning Gina and his child again, making his chest feel tight again.

"Yes sir."

From the communication device that was being held by Martin, there was a simultaneous answer from about fifty bodyguards who were currently surrounding the Sanders family’s residence with full weapons mounted on their bodies.

Still waiting to hear from doctor Dorothea , Massimo was still sitting in his car. Seconds had passed so long for Massimo at this time, anxiety and fear emanating from his body as he sat stiffly in the backseat. Meanwhile, her thin, slightly pale lips seemed to tremble at the mention of Gina’s name many times.

While waiting for information, Massimo suddenly straightened up when he saw the car that Diego was driving was approaching towards the gate which was heavily guarded by dozens of policemen. A glint of hatred shone from Massimo’s dark blue eyes.

"I won’t let you get what you want, Diego," Massimo growled in a trembling voice. "Gina is mine, no one in the world can have her but me. To dare to interfere with Massimo del Cano’s is to die."
