His soul-Chapter 574: Massimo’s logic
Massimo, who could already imagine what he would receive when he got home, couldn’t help but stare at the sight of Gina locking their bedroom door from the inside, even though he still wanted to be able to force open his room lock like before, but Massimo chose not to. Massimo had promised himself not to use a gun near Gina, apart from the fact that his wife was currently pregnant, Massimo also wanted to show Gina that he had become less emotional than he was a few years ago.
"How sir, should I prepare another room on the first floor?" Martin asked quietly.
Massimo shook his head. "No need, my wife will open the door to this room later. Her anger won’t last long, we’d better go to study now."
"Yes sir," replied Martin obediently, Martin immediately turned his body and rushed off to Massimo’s study on the first floor.
Even though Julian was still living with them, Massimo didn’t want to disturb his father-in-law’s rest. That’s why he chose to go to the study, waiting for Gina’s anger to subside. Massimo was sure Gina would not let him sleep in a different room.
Knock...
Knock...
"Honey, I will work on the first floor. If you are not angry, immediately open the door. I will immediately go inside and hug you again as usual," said Massimo quietly.
There was no answer from Gina, Gina who could hear Massimo’s words chose to lock her lips tightly. She’s still annoyed at her husband for turning off his cell phone during Diego’s funeral.
Since Gina didn’t answer, Massimo then followed Martin to his study on the first floor. He has to take care of some problems that occur at Red Devil and Red Fox which for the past few weeks have been neglected because he has focused on the problems of Diego and Vanessa, Massimo who wants to live quietly with Gina and her family chose not to take care of the work at the two best Casinos in Spain. and focus on the legal issues that Vanessa and Diego are currently facing. That’s why at this time in his study he had piled up documents that he had to check with Martin as soon as possible, so that all the problems that had occurred ended quickly without causing any harm.
Gina, who is enjoying special milk for pregnant women, looks even more annoyed when Massimo chooses to work rather than continue to beg, apologizing to her. In fact, Gina had hoped that Massimo would do that, so that she could give her husband a greater punishment, but things didn’t turn out the way she had hoped. Massimo instead chose to take care of his work with Martin.
Feeling bored, Gina turned on the television to wait for Massimo to come back, when she was about to choose one of her favorite shows, suddenly Gina saw news about a prisoner’s car accident near the prison where Vanessa was. Gina’s heartbeat suddenly accelerated, seeing the condition of the charred car made her uneasy. Remembering the place and location of the incident which was not far from the prison, Gina immediately thought of Vanessa.
With trembling hands Gina reached for her cell phone which was on the nightstand.
"Yes baby..."
"Massimo, watch television. There was an accident," Gina said hoarsely, cutting Massimo’s words.
Massimo gave Martin a code to turn on the television immediately. "Accident, what accident?"
"The prisoner’s car accident near the prison where Aunt Vanessa is going to serve her sentence," Gina answered quietly.
Massimo’s whole body tensed up, his eyes immediately focused on the television screen that had just shown the news of a car accident that Gina was watching in the room.
"I..is that the car that brought Aunt Vanessa?" Gina asked quietly, barely audibly.
Massimo gulped. "I can’t be sure because I haven’t received any news from the related parties, I will immediately find out what happened to the car and for the time being, stay in the room and don’t go anywhere. I will..."
"No, You can’t go. I don’t want to be left alone, Massimo. I’m scared," Gina said frantically.
"Baby, listen. I’m not going anywhere, I’ll be at home studying with Martin. I’m asking you not to come down because I don’t want anything to happen to you. So wait for me to go upstairs and then we can talk."
"Is it true you’re not going?"
"No my dear, now open the door and wait for me."
"Don’t take too long, Daddy," Gina said hoarsely.
Massimo smiled, hearing Gina call him that pleasant nickname made him happy. "Yeah, I won’t be long. After finding out about what happened to the car I’ll be going up to our room immediately."
Gina, who was really panicked and not calm nodded slowly, she didn’t realize that Massimo wouldn’t be able to see her nodding head. Not long after that Gina then hung up the call and rushed to the door to open the lock that she had installed earlier.
In the study, Massimo and Martin were immediately busy contacting several related people who could be asked for information.
"So it’s confirmed that everyone in the car died?"
"That’s right, sir. From all the doors that are still closed it can be ascertained that none of the victims were able to get out of the car before the car exploded due to a fuel leak."
"Vanessa, one of the detainees who was in the car was she...
"It is certain that the woman died too, sir."
Massimo immediately clenched his left hand, hearing the words of a policeman who was currently at the scene and explained the current situation to the police. The car, which had been burning so violently, still felt a little uncomfortable when he heard the news that Vanessa died.
Feeling that he had the information he wanted, Massimo then ended the call and let the police get back to work. Martin had also finished talking to someone who by this time he was at the scene of the crime and approached Massimo who was standing near the large window that connected the back garden to his study.
"Vanessa was declared dead in the car, sir," Martin said quietly, reporting the information he had just received.
Massimo took a deep breath. "I’ve heard the news too , but I’m not entirely sure if Vanessa died. She is such a cunning and evil woman, as far as I know a bad woman doesn’t seem to die easily like that."
Martin smiled. "That kind of thing only exists in movies, sir."
"I know, but my little heart still doesn’t want to believe that Vanessa is really dead," Massimo said quietly. "Until I see the remains of her body in person I will not believe it."
"At this time the car is still trying to be put out, sir. So the officers haven’t been able to evacuate the shapeless one yet."
Massimo clenched his fists. "Go Martin, take a look at the situation there. Take ten people with you."
"Okay, sir."
"And order all the guards in front to be more alert, I don’t want anything untoward to happen," added Massimo again.
Martin nodded his head again, after which he then turned his body and immediately went to run the task he had just received. Even though Martin had left, Massimo didn’t rush up to the room. His brain was still telling him to continue working, Massimo was really very curious about how the car got into an accident.
The ringing of the cell phone again made Massimo wake up from his daydream, his face immediately curved into a smile when he saw who was calling him.
"Here I am going up, dear," said Massimo softly.
"Why is it taking so long? You said it was just for a moment."
Massimo, who was already up the stairs, smiled a little. "Sorry, there were some things that Martin and I had to reconfirm. So it takes a little longer."
"I’m afraid..."
Massimo, who had arrived in front of the room, immediately opened the door and rushed in. "Scared of why?"
Gina who was sitting on the bed leaning back directly looked at Massimo with teary eyes. "Earlier, the television announcer said that everyone in the car was dead and Vanessa’s name was on the list of victims. Do you think he really died?"
"According to the information I got it seems that everyone in the car was confirmed dead." 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
"Then if she died in such a horrific way would he be able to become a ghost?" Gina asked again.
The words of Gina’s unreasonable question, during his years of knowing Gina, Massimo actually knew that Gina did not have as much courage as he had shown to everyone. For example when Gina was afraid of insects when he led her through the street a secret inside the Sanders house in the early days of his acquaintance with Gina eight years ago.
"Massimo I’m serious," Gina growled in annoyance.
Massimo pursed his lips, staring lovingly at Gina. "A bad woman won’t die that easily, my dear. "
