His soul-Chapter 588: Survived
"Thank you, Massimo. Thank you for understanding."
"Hmm...no, you don’t need to apologize to me. It wasn’t your fault, oh yeah I remembered. There’s one more thing I want to talk to you about," Massimo said quietly, suddenly remembering the problem with his plan to match Rosa and Martin.
"What is the problem?"
Slowly Massimo lifted Gina’s body from above him and invited her to sit side by side with him. Massimo wanted to have a serious talk with Gina, so he tried to find a good sitting position.
After taking a deep breath, Massimo then told Gina his plan. He carefully said the reason for setting Martin up with Rosa. Knowing that Massimo had good intentions, Gina didn’t interrupt her husband at all. Gina waited for Massimo to finish speaking.
"Martin is quite nice, he wouldn’t dare mess around like your scumbag childhood friend."
"Alexandre, Massimo. Not an asshole."
Massimo snorted in annoyance. "Still defending him."
Gina chuckled. "I’m not defending him, I just want you to say his name clearly. I’m already angry and disappointed with him. The Alexandre I knew is gone."
"I could guess from the start that your childhood friend was only using Rosa, she doesn’t really like your sister. Since beginning his main goal is you, that damn Alexandre is targeting you, Gina," said Massimo curtly, because he was too angry Massimo finally called him back. Alexandre’s name clearly. Even though he had never mentioned Alexandre’s name when he was talking to Martin.
"Really? Alexandre can’t possibly like me, he’s..."
"My instincts are never wrong, honey. That’s why I dare to speak like this, from the first time I saw him at your house a few years ago, you could tell that he had different feelings for you. From the way he looks at you, talks to you, I can tell everything. That’s why I don’t like him, but your stupid little sister got caught up in his rotten words until they finally...ah, never mind. They’re mature enough to do that."
Gina immediately gripped Massimo’s hand tightly. "Wait, don’t tell me you know that Rosa and Alexandre..."
Massimo burst out laughing. "Of course I know, honey."
"How? You can’t..."
"Since you became my wife, then the safety of you and all your family members is my responsibility. That’s why I sent my men to take care of you all secretly."
"Did you also send someone to look after Diego?"
Massimo smiled, he knew where Gina was talking at the moment. "Spies to be precise, I sent spies for Diego."
Gina bit her lower lip hard. "After knowing Rosa is like this, will you still set Martin up for her? I’m pretty sure that Martin would have known too, if Rosa and Alexandre had slept together."
"Martin isn’t an old-fashioned man and yes, he already knows. Because the one who brought the news to me was Martin. Martin knows that damn Alexandre is the lucky man to get your sister’s chastity."
"Then..."
"And Martin doesn’t matter, he’s afraid that he doesn’t deserve Rosa. Martin doesn’t feel worthy to be beside your sister," Massimo said quietly.
Gina immediately covered her lips with her hands, her eyes wide open, unable to believe what Massimo had said.
"Yes, Martin is that good. My best men never let me down," said Massimo again. "And now it’s just Rosa, if Martin I already know the answer."
"I’m not sure if Rosa could open her heart to another man so quickly, Alexandre’s betrayal made such an impression on her."
Massimo smiled. "That’s why I asked for your help to talk to Rosa, talk about this plan with her slowly. If Rosa isn’t ready then don’t force her, let her think first. Rosa is old enough to think ahead."
"Okay, I’ll discuss this matter with Rosa first. Whatever the outcome, I hope you won’t be disappointed and also tell Martin not to get your hopes up. My younger sister is very stubborn."
"Just like you, you’re stubborn too. If you haven’t experienced it yourself, you won’t believe what other people say. It seems it’s ingrained in your genes, the genes of the honorable Sanders."

After her talk with Massimo three days ago, Gina hasn’t had a chance to talk to Rosa seriously. Rosa’s busy schedule at the hospital prevented her from visiting Gina in the next two weeks, as a result Gina had not been able to provide any information to Massimo. Although Massimo didn’t actually ask her to immediately ask Rosa for certainty, Gina felt that she had a responsibility to provide information to her husband.
"Today Regis got an injection?" Massimo again asked the same question for the third time to Gina who was fixing her lipstick after enjoying their breakfast.
Gina smiled. "This is an immunization shot, so it has to be done."
"Isn’t there any other choice? It must be sick, right? I’ve read several articles that discuss immunization injections for babies and on average every baby who gets immunized gets sick afterwards. I don’t want Regis to get sick, so can’t we if we don’t ..."
"Immunization is very important for babies, honey. Why babies get sick after being immunized is a sign that they are working, even if the baby doesn’t get sick after being immunized, it should be questioned," said Gina gently, explaining to her husband.
"But..."
"Then you can ask doctor Olivia directly." Gina interrupted Massimo’s words again. "You’re going to the hospital, aren’t you?"
Massimo nodded. "Of course I go, how could I let my wife take me to the hospital alone."
Gina chuckled at the words of her husband who was still so possessive of her even though Regis was in their midst. Since Regis was ready, Gina got up from her chair and immediately approached Regis who was being carried by Joice. Regis’ laughter immediately sounded louder when he was in Gina’s arms, Regis seemed to know that the beautiful woman who was currently carrying him was his mother.
"You little monster, how can he laugh that much? Don’t expect you to continue to monopolize my wife, okay?"
Gina immediately turned to Massimo, she couldn’t believe what Massimo had just said. Massimo shrugged his shoulders, as if to show that he didn’t say anything. Jealous of your own child, really, Massimo?
Gina couldn’t help but shake her head at her husband’s behavior, because she didn’t want to prolong the problem, Gina rushed out to follow Massimo, who had approached Martin who was waiting for them in the front yard. As soon as Gina and Massimo got into the car, Martin then did the same thing by sitting in the front seat next to Pablo, who was their driver this morning.
After receiving orders from Massimo, Pablo immediately stomped on the gas pedal of his car and immediately headed for the highway followed by two cars guarding them from the front and behind.
"Honey, are you serious? Don’t want to change your mind?" asked Massimo again.
Gina, who was joking with Regis who was sitting in her own car seat, immediately turned to Massimo. "Change your mind about what?"
"As for the injection for Regis, I wasn’t prepared to see this little monster get sick."
Gina smiled. "It’s safe, we’ll talk to the doctor before giving the injection, okay?"
"Doctor Olivia or another doctor?"
"Doctor Olivia and a pediatrician who became Regis’ personal physician."
Slowly Massimo took Regis’ hand that was waving forward, Massimo lovingly brought the tiny hand to his lips. Massimo gave Regis a loving kiss many times, Regis was his world and Massimo was not ready to see Regis sick.
Gina was touched to see Massimo’s attitude towards Regis, although sometimes Massimo protested because he cared too much for Regis, but Gina knew that in fact Massimo still wanted to love his son so much. He was just trying to get Gina’s attention. Even though Regis was four months old, Massimo still didn’t dare to carry him without Gina by his side. Having seen Regis almost fall out of bed made Massimo so scared and worried for his son, the joy of love that was present in his and Gina’s life after years of marriage.
Because the road was still quiet, it was still willing and the Chinese were able to arrive at the hospital ten minutes earlier than the usual mileage. Two nurses who were already waiting in the lobby immediately approached Gina who was carrying Regis.
"Can I help you, madam?"
"No need, my wife will carry Regis herself," said Massimo curtly.
The two nurses’ faces immediately turned pale, they must have heard Massimo’s words, both of them even lowered their heads because they were too afraid of what Massimo had said.
Seeing this Gina immediately acted quickly, with a gentle smile Gina handed Regis to the two nurses and offered one of them to carry Regis. But the two nurses politely refused, they were already afraid of Massimo’s words earlier.
"See..."
"Honey."
Massimo ignored Gina’s words, Massimo carefully grabbed Regis from Gina’s arms and immediately took him to the elevator to go up to doctor Olivia’s room. Gina couldn’t help but smile slightly at Massimo’s possessive attitude towards Regis.
"Forgive my husband, he just hasn’t been able to trust someone else to take care of our child," Gina said gently apologetically to the two nurses who looked still so scared of Massimo.
"No, madam...you don’t need to apologize to us."
"That’s right, madam. You don’t need to apologize, neither does Mr Massimo."
Gina pursed her lips, her guilt getting bigger when she heard the words of the two young nurses beside her. Because Massimo had called, Gina rushed over to Massimo who was holding the elevator for her.
"What are you talking about?"
"Apologizing to you," Gina replied curtly.
"What?"
Gina smiled. "The two nurses were shocked to hear your words, that’s why I apologize to them," said Gina quietly. "Give me Regis."
Massimo nodded, slowly returning Regis to Gina.
"Next time speak more softly, honey. You can do it," Gina said softly.
Massimo didn’t respond to Gina’s words, he preferred to focus on Regis who was laughing a lot. Regis was truly a source of immeasurable joy for Massimo.
Martin, who had been standing among the small family for a long time, couldn’t help but smile, he didn’t dare to speak. Martin did not want to disturb the harmony of the two new parents.

A woman sitting in a wheelchair didn’t seem to blink when she saw Massimo and Gina enter the elevator, her eyes, which were not covered with bandages as they were currently wrapping her body, twitched showing such great anger.
The woman’s attention was focused on the handsome baby who was in Massimo’s arms, although at this time her body was still weak but the woman looked very eager to get up from her wheelchair to catch up with Massimo and Gina. However, the presence of an oxygen tube attached to her nose prevented her from getting up.
"Wait...wait for me to choose, I will take your child just like you did to me...just wait for the time."
