....

Nicklaus chuckled at Arissa’s words, "Thank you so much for believing in me," he said and intertwined their fingers together.

Arissa smiled, remembering it was only yesterday when she told Collins that she was a bit hesitant to have babies now. In all, her discovery this morning stunned her more than any other thing ever would.

Nicklaus pulled her into another hug and dropped kisses on her shoulders. He left imprinting kisses and took in her sweet morning scent.

"I have never been this fortunate in my life, Arissa, neither have I have ever been as happy in the past as I am now, each second I spend with you. I do not even know how to tell you how thankful I am. You left me marveling at each angle of my life you changed and you did not stop there. You abruptly walked into my world and broke down my walls without my permission which wasn’t fair if you asked me," he laughed on her shoulder and continued, "I put my defense on once again and ruthlessly, you stripped me off them. I love you more than you would ever know and even after we take our last breaths, I wish the angels grant us the mercy to continue from where we stop here over there whenever we meet again,"

He paused and his feet began to move slowly at a pace. He raised his hand from her shoulder and looked into her eyes.

Arissa had tears in her eyes when he met her gaze and he pressed her face into his chest and rubbed her hair while humming softly for her.

Arissa sniffed, "How... How do you manage to love an awful person like me? I am so awful, Nick. I don’t care what you think because I know who I was to you. I treated you so badly and it was always a one-step forward and three-step backward progress when it came to our relationship," she cried.

Nicklaus smiled and stopped moving his feet. He stared up at the ceiling and replied, "I also wonder how I fell in love with you," he remarked, "To be honest, you are not awful and you should erase that from your mind about you. You are one of the realest people I have ever seen and it’s beautiful. Your beautiful inside was what attracted me to you and because of it, I decided to give you a tiny chance and you knew how to use it," he admitted.

Arissa raised her face to look at him.

She pouted, feeling guilty, "But I treated you like an enemy. I also refused to accept you," she reminded, hellbent on giving him a reason to scold her.

Nicklaus looked away from the ceiling and met her eyes. When he stared into her brown eyes, a small laugh left his lips, "See what I said?"

Arissa raised her brow at him, requesting more explanation.

"Who the fuck would care about an enemy if not you? Yes, you did treat me like an enemy then but that never stopped you from caring about my well-being." he said and massaged the skin between her brows, "Remember the first time you asked me to join you for a meal?"

Arissa thinned her lips, "I do but you rejected the meal,"

"Indeed but that did not stop you from inviting me for another and that showed me the kind of person you are," he concluded and brushed his thumb underneath her eyes, wiping her tears.

"C’mon," he said to her, creating some space between them, "I managed to make breakfast, let’s see what you can eat from it,"

He held her hand and led her out of the bathroom. Getting into the room, he helped her to relax on the bed before presenting the tray to her.

Arissa rested her back on one of the pillows he arranged behind her and smiled at him. She made a silent prayer not to reject what he would prepare - not for the taste but for the baby. She hopes the baby accepts it.

Nicklaus opened the plate and presented oatmeal before her. Arissa’s face turned lazy and a small pout found its way to her lips.

"Nick_" she refined from what she was about to tell him when she found herself having an appetite.

She has never loved oatmeal. It traumatized her as a kid and surprisingly, today seemed different as the food suddenly looked captivating, and appetizing before her.

She stared down at her stomach and raised her face to look into Nicklaus’s eyes. She laughed softly, "I have never loved oats but the baby loves it. I never prepared myself for changes like this," she said.

Nicklaus smiled at her and stared down at her stomach. He placed a hand on her stomach with galaxies flashing through them, "I’m glad you love it. Daddy prepared it for your mum but it’s yours now," his voice sounded excited and Arissa could feel the love in it.

Her toes curled and her heart loved him more.

Nicklaus rubbed his hand on her stomach and went on, "If you love this, Daddy will make more of it for you but please, do not make your mum throw up. I hate seeing her so pale and tired. She looks more beautiful when she’s strong and I know you are proud to have such a beautiful Mum like her which is why you shouldn’t make her throw up. Help her to stay strong and wait for your arrival,"

Arissa’s eyes widened and her lips parted open in surprise but no words escaped them. She smiled toothlessly and pushed the tray away from her.

Nicklaus raised his face to her when she did that. He searched her eyes to see if she didn’t want the food anymore. If she doesn’t, he understands.

Arissa drew him closer to herself from his hand placed on her stomach. Nicklaus gently leaned in as she wished and stared into her eyes.

"I want you, Nick,"

Arissa stared at Nicklaus with a pleading gaze after her request. Nicklaus let out a soft breath and stared down at her stomach and back into her eyes. His jaw flexed at her request.

He took his hands off her stomach and wrapped them around her waist. He leaned forward and captured her lips, giving her a slow kiss.

Arissa hungrily wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back. She slowly relaxed so he would lay on her but to her surprise, Nicklaus pulled away shortly after and sat at the edge of the bed, backing her. freeωebnovēl.c૦m

Arissa blinked and stared at his back.

"Arissa, the baby," he reminded her staring at the wall of the room.

Arissa turned to the tray. She first carried it off the bed and played on the lampstand. At the sound of it, Nicklaus turned to her and wondered what ran through her mind.

When she finished arranging the tray, she walked towards him on her kneel. She held his neck from behind and poured her hair over to stare at his face.

Nicklaus’s heart skipped a beat when he figured out the position she was in. He immediately tilted his head sideways so she would look at him without much struggle. When he did, Arissa pushed her face back a little and captured his lips again. Nicklaus immediately pulled away from the kiss which caused her to frown.

Nicklaus shook his head and said thoughtfully, "Arissa stop. Not now, how about the baby?"

Arissa pulled away from him and sat on the bed. She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ears and explained, "Nothing would happen to the baby. All we have to do is to be gentle and the baby is fine,"

Nicklaus ran his hand through his hair and shifted from her. It was obvious he still had doubts. He does not in any way want to harm her or the baby.

Seeing him acting so indecisive, Arissa hugged his neck from behind and kissed his cheek repeatedly.

Nicklaus smiled, "I’m new to all of this, Love," he tried to protest as she was beginning to get to him. He felt his little man getting ready.

He doesn’t know what to do around a pregnant woman and he does not think that sex would be advisable.

Arissa dropped her hands on his shoulders and moved them into his shirt. She massaged him there and his muscles flexed under her touch.

"Nick, please," she pleaded as if starved and Nicklaus could only smile. Her sneaky hand found its way down to his little man and she could not resist the temptation as she ended up brushing her hand on it and massaging it.

Her soft breaths famed his ears and he saw red. He growled and caught a hold of her hand.

"Arissa, please stop," he pleaded through gritted teeth. His erection hardened and he was now under her mercy.

Arissa placed her lips directly by the corner of his right ear and whispered, "We had rough sex not too long ago and at that moment, I still had a baby in my womb. It won’t hurt, I promise," she tried convincing him.

Nicklaus took in a deep breath and let go of her wrist. The moment he did that, he swiftly faced her and hovered above her.

"Just this once," he said in a raspy tune.

Arissa nodded, "Just this once," she could see the lust in his eyes and she believed he wouldn’t be able to hold back next time as he wished.
