His Witch Queen-Chapter 109: Broken Rules!
"They are looking for your presence, princess Alice.’’ It was one of the generals of Cyrus, who had spoken with his focussed eyes which caught that Lady had actually caged their prince against the wall and her figure with the help of her swords.
At the same time, Alice’s brain worked and she was diverted to look at the general who appeared.
The frown on her brows had curved deeper, "Did they tell you who he or she is?"
"They are from your birthplace Princess. And they are seeking your presence since they aren’t ready to talk with anyone else." The vampire honestly answered, which made Alice think twice.
Her heart raced, as she recalled the word, ’her birthplace.’ Thankfully, he hadn’t clearly said it aloud and told everyone that it was Suzania Kingdom.
Otherwise, all the soldiers would have been alarmed till now.
Whereas, Cyrus simply gazed at his wife who was out of the blue getting paled. Her grip too loosened at her sword which directly lessened the effect on her sword against him.
Noting all these effects only raised Cyrus’s smirk when he had used the same opportunity to his advantage.
Using his sword to push against Alice, she had startled back. Her eyes were wide at the sudden jerk, which made her recall that she was still fighting with this vampire.
However, Prince Cyrus didn’t give our Princess any chance to react in such a furious manner since he managed to not only swing her sword on the ground but also wrap her in his embrace, with his sword against her neck.
In the sudden and swift moment, Alice’s back was against Cyrus’s body, where he had wrapped his hand around her waist and his sword’s cold surface touched her soft skin lightly.
As the coldness struck her neck, Alice’s mind resisted finding herself at loss.
"Y-You....you used this!" Alice’s teeth gritted when she spoke but Cyrus didn’t bother.
He simply brought his lips to her ears to whisper when his warm and hot breeze flew upon her naked skin, "I told you princess...the match isn’t over until it’s actually over.."
"But it was the message which I got! I-I was listening to that man!"
"Rule of fighting, never get distracted until the war is over. You disobeyed the rule and you already lost." Cyrus’s words only made her breathe halt in the middle.
Not only that, every soldier was already taken back by the affection that their Princes showered. In the end, he did win but the fight given by the lady was also impressive.
In their mind, it was evident that if the message wasn’t relied on, she would have already used her skills to defeat the Prince. Yet in the end, she lost and the prince was still as old as clever.
Meanwhile, Alice sensed the goosebumps on her skin. She couldn’t help but blink her eyes twice to bring herself out of this situation and realize where she had gone wrong.
’He is seriously clever...’ Thinking the same, her hands curled into a fist too.
Moreover, the warm palm of Cyrus on her waist only added to their existing proximity. Her mind also cracked with firecrackers but on top of that, she can’t help but feel her own self bending down with time.
"COUGH COUGH...Princess, there is someone.."
"Y-yeah." The voice helped her to gather the courage and break free from Cyrus’s tight grip around her body.
Her instincts acted up and taking the shawl from the other side of the ground, Alice managed to wrap it around herself before she was ready to walk out of the area along with the general.
However, before entirely leaving the space, Alice turned around to stare in her husband’s direction. "Cyrus." calling his name, Alice gained his attention, to which he looked at her with an obvious glint.
"Well played. But don’t think that your skills are extraordinary. Coincidences do not happen every time either." Alice told without tearing her eyes off his face.
As if her words brought the hollowness in each eye, the lips were lifted upwards which inwardly let his eyes turn into a cyst moon shape too. "Don’t worry Princess. We have plenty of time for me to showcase my skills either in the field of battle or....."
Cyrus didn’t finish his words since Alice had already turned around to walk away from the place. He immediately knew that she had intentionally walked when he was going to blurt the last few words and the same only raised his chin high.
On the other hand, the other soldiers were already giving the end of appraisals for the Prince for winning the fight again. However, this happened after a long, when they had already exited from their own dazed position. "PRINCE IS BEST!"
"NO ONE CAN BEAT PRINCE CYRUS!"
The roars only added up with the sounds but then, Cyrus had raised his hand in the pursuit of asking others to not create such a big deal out of it. His expressions gave others an idea that he didn’t want to hear this either.
However, this curiosity never died down with time. Each one present there had their stomach aching to learn about the real identity of the macho woman, who had the audacity to get close to their prince.
Especially when the Crowned prince Cyrus, who doesn’t like to be engaged in the harem of the girls was actually, taking her so intimately and affectionately to even wrap his hand around her waist.
While the majority of the soldiers didn’t have the audacity to ask, the same wasn’t with everyone. It was the head of the soldiers, who had kept his eyes low to step near the Prince.
First of all, he bowed in respect and kept his head to mumble the question, "Prince, the lady was absolutely superb. She had received good training. But.... the ladies..aren’t allowed to fight so how come she.."
"It isn’t that they aren’t allowed yet the ladies rarely participate and are not so interested in learning about swordsmanship. If someone is learning it, she should be encouraged, not see anyone out of the box." Cyrus had sternly replied back, which got the nod from the General too.
"I agree with your words, Prince. But..may we know who she was..to get the opportunity to fight with you..." This gained mumbles from others too. Cyrus’s sharp hearing ability already knew that soldiers were keen to find out her identity.
And if he doesn’t reveal so, probably they will find it out through other means. But with the proud chin and the glow in Cyrus’s eyes, he had openly told everyone with his open heart.
"The lady whom everyone saw is my wife, you’re all Queen to be. I hope this will answer all of your questions." Saying this, Cyrus had taken the leave to go inside the castle, without even sparing a glance at other’s astonished, shocked and unbelievable eyes.
Their heads turned into circles, and they passed each other the glances of the surprise they received. But Cyrus didn’t bother to pay attention to these as he had more important work to consider at least for now..
....
At the same time, General Cyrus had brought her to the other side of the castle. Without even asking a single doubt, Alice had walked with the man and finally, they arrived at the entrance where her eyes caught the sight of a man standing at a far distance.
"General Shane....." muttering the name under her breath, Alice’s eyes went to gaze at the other general who followed her, "You can leave. I will entertain the guests."
"Do you know him, Princess..?" The General asked her cautiously, for her security purpose to which Alice had given her a strong nod, "Someone from my Kingdom. Please be rest assured and provide us with some privacy."
"I will see that no one disturbs you." General gave her assurance when he left her alone and there, Alice walked closer to General Shane, who had, first of all, bowed to his Princess and then looked at her,
"How have you been Princess?"
"I’m extremely surprised to learn about your arrival here, Shane." Alice didn’t answer this question but put forward her feelings. "I’m certain that if you have shown up your presence here, there may be something to convey from either brother or father."
"His Highness surely has something for you, Princess."
Alice’s eyes glowed at the thought of her father when the excitement level was proceeding, "What is that? Is there any other emergency?"
"Not at all, princess. Everything else is fine. I...I came here to personally convey His Highness’s message to you." At the same time, General Shane had taken out the roll of the wrinkled paper that was wrapped with the black ribbon.
The ribbon’s color itself caused Alice’s smile to vanish and be replaced with gloomy expressions, "This..."
"The concubine of the Second Man Daniel had died, Princess Alice.."
