Chapter 193: Alice’s decision on punishment!

The word entered in everyone’s ears as they felt the real responsibility descending upon their shoulders. They knew how difficult it would be to set upon one space. However, despite the multiple difficulties, the culprit was supposed to be punished.

After all, the Prince of their Kingdom was killed by a Royal. Punishing her would set an example for others who will be put into the den of fear before committing such a sin.

On hearing what King Vilas ordered, Lady Ira felt the sharp chills down her spine. There was no trace of humans left in her brain. ’Why the hell is my magic not working on anyone?’

She tried to influence anyone’s mind right here. This caused the uneasiness to spread all through her heart which jolted her badly.

However, the members then decided to have a talk between them. They took their respective time to discuss the matter since they felt that it needed to be done with utmost care.

Alice as well as others’ eyes were pinned at the members. Even they were curious about the decision.

While within the next few minutes, the members had settled. There was the silence that regained before one of the members got up on his seat to say, "We, all members, have decided that we will not make the decision."

"It is a matter of personal concern. We want King Villas to make the decision as you are the highest authority and... you have lost your son. This is a family matter to be dealt with."

The member’s words brought the sarreid smile on Alice’s face. She had somewhat never imagined them to be the fan of giving up such a right..

As the decision now lies with King Vilas, Alice saw the change in his emotions. He became more alarmed when the deep lines appeared on his forehead.

"If the decision lies on me..." he took a pause to shift his eyes back to his dear daughter, "I want Alice to make a decision. She has brought all the proofs and I believe she has the right to do fair judgment."

"Me?"

"Yes. Do it for your brother Alice."

She needed to know why her father told her about this. He knew how much her brother ment to her. He didn’t want to snatch the right and make sure that the promise she made forwards her brother for the protection of Lisa and avenge his death should be fulfilled.

Alice took a deep breath to calm her nerves. She found herself holding with the thunder of emotions. As she teased her eyes to gaze at Flora, she found her to be already expecting why her next words were.

This didn’t bring any unjoy in her brain. They have previously talked on this too.

At last, Alice’s eyes shone again and this time, with the undefined mist of anger, fury and everything. Finally, her devil sounding voice was heard which put the final ultimatum to the situation.

"Her punishment is death. She will be beheaded in the middle of the town... so that no one can think of committing such a crime ever.. in the next centuries to come.."

...

Alice stood at the top of the castle while looking at her kingdom as far as her eyes laid. She knew that right now her kmnd wasn’t set at the correct place. In fact, it would be right to say she found herself be lost in this tunnel.

Slowly and steadily, she brought her hand near her shoulder to caress it light. But then, she felt another arm around her body, "You look tense."

"Tense? I think this is happiness." Alice muttered.

"If this was happiness my wife, then there must not be a frown on your forehead. You look extremely worried. Are you feeling guilty about what punishment you gave to your second aunt?"

Cyrus could easily see through her, as Alice sensed. He hadn’t made up his mind but the secret wedding between them has actually bound them to life to begin with.

But Alice simply kept her head back in Cyrus’s rock chest. She didn’t mutter anything, simply enjoying the earth as well as the view...

At the same time, Cyrus started to caress her tender hair with tenderness. He didn’t show any hint of hurry but all that surfaced was the love for the lady in his arms.

But then Alice suddenly said, "I’m not guilty of what I did. It’s just that... if not Lady Ira, Dominic would have still been alive and be with us."

Alice’s heart squeezed at the thought and the recalling of the horrying night which was enough to cause goosebumps. But Cyrus mentioned this earlier too.

He didn’t change his expressions but said, "You are right. But this is the nature of life. Dominic’s life was supposed to come to an end and... we had no choice. As you mentioned, Lisa has a child. Support her. We can’t imagine how she must be holding herself."

"I think so.." Alice too didn’t wish to admit but thinking about Lisa was more requested.

However, the next question of Prince Cyrus brought a straight line of Alice’s lips which was enough the indication that she had made some malicious attempt.

"How come, Lady Ira’s daughter supported you against her mother? Was there some pact?" 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Some talks. After all, a culprit isn’t a culprit in our eyes only. Flora wanted to escape a cage and she took my help."

"But how?" A curiosity flashed through Cyrus’s eyes when he heard that Alice had settled with Ira. But on the top of that, hearing about Flora was edited his curiosity to the next extent.

Initially, Alice didn’t say much. She kept herself close. But on second thought, Alice finally started to tell him the exact reason.

"This all began yesterday...
