Chapter 557: Chapter 176: Fire Dragon and the Young Wolf (Part 3)

The Acromantulas that were just about to pounce for prey suddenly froze. A second later, they turned around and fled swiftly, their eight legs running so fast they almost left behind shadows.

Mikhail clicked his tongue, standing on a branch and looking toward Vid.

After thinking for a moment, Vid said, "We don’t need too many Acromantulas, just control the quantity."

Mikhail let out a "goo" sound, and three long flaming feathers extended from his outstretched wings.

Vid smiled slightly and then said, "Leaving a tenth is more than enough."

If it weren’t for the fact that the Acromantula’s venom was indeed precious, these cold-blooded creatures destined to betray wouldn’t even leave one behind.

Mikhail happily chased after them, and bursts of fire began to flash through the dark forest. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

With Mikhail in control, Vid didn’t worry about causing a forest fire or anything like that. He closed the wardrobe space, bent down to look into the tree hole, and softly said, "Lumos."

The bright white light illuminated the dark tree hole, and the creature inside immediately shielded its eyes, asking fearfully, "Who’s there?"

Vid was taken aback.

The voice was obviously a young boy’s, childish and seemingly not yet of school age.

This of course couldn’t be a student from Hogwarts.

Fang suddenly became excited, approached with several barks, only to be pulled back by the collar around his neck and pushed aside by Vid.

Vid moved closer and finally saw the little creature hiding among the dead leaves.

It was a young wolf.

Its head was round, and its body looked like a small fluffy ball, exuding a bit of cuteness.

Its tail was short, its black nose wet and slightly trembling, its eyes wide open, full of panic and helplessness, and its light yellow fur was covered in bloodstains.

Its back had several terrible wounds, seemingly scratched out by Nobeta.

Vid fell silent for a moment.

This young wolf was probably a snack for Nobeta or a live toy that somehow managed to escape.

Even if it briefly gained freedom, if its wounds weren’t promptly treated, it would likely die soon.

If it were a normal wolf, it would be one thing, but this little guy could speak human language...

Vid asked, "Are you a descendant of a Werewolf?"

He had read in books that if Werewolves mated in wolf form, they would give birth to genuine wolf cubs with intelligence akin to humans.

But the books didn’t mention that these wolf cubs could speak human language.

Vid initially felt surprised, but then quickly considered that in this magical world, even spiders could speak human language, so wolf cubs with human lineage speaking English wasn’t unusual either.

"My... my father is a Werewolf..." the young wolf confessed without daring to hide, then hugged its head with its front paws, pitifully saying, "Please... spare me... I won’t dare go near the school again..."

Seeing his pitiful expression, Vid sighed, waved his Magic Wand, and the young wolf flew out of the tree hole involuntarily.

It struggled in fear but soon fell into a warm embrace.

"Don’t move, you’ll die like this. Let me help you treat it."

Vid said, pointing his Magic Wand at the young wolf’s wounds, softly chanting a Healing Spell.

The blood gradually stopped, but the wounds weren’t so easily healed.

The claws of the Norwegian Ridgeback probably carried some toxicity, making the wounds it caused difficult to recover.

"Come with me. It seems we’ll need Madam Pomfrey to heal your wounds... I wonder if she can double as a veterinarian."

Vid said, tapping his Magic Wand to make the young wolf fall asleep, then putting it into his pocket and turning to walk towards where his classmates were.

In the dark woods, the bushes faintly swayed. Moments later, an amber eye emerged from the gap, watching the direction Vid was leaving.
