"It's great to see you again." Steve said trying to go for a hug but Peter out out hand to atop him.

"Do you think this is a game? Stop acting so friendly unless you want to get a bullet in your head!" Peter said angrily. It was obvious he was angry with Steve about something.

"Come on. Why do you always want to shoot me? You are acting like I killed your family or something!"

"Fuck you! It was much worse than that!"

"Don't tell me you are still pissed about Jane. I really didn't know at that time-"

"Stop talking! Or I swear.." Steve decisively shut up seeing his friend was serious.

Peter's men who were standing behind him were confused and baffled. He was someone who would never lose his cool and was known for being ruthless but for some reason the strange man named Steve can push all the buttons to irritate someone like Peter!

"Where is she?"

"Inside, she is little hurt but I had to do it."

"Okay, I will ask someone to take her back to patch her up. I can't believe you are still scaring people with that old method. Don't you feel like a evil person bullying a little girl?"

"Bully? The only thing that matter is my mission. Do tell her if I wil, she will have to admit and testify against your employer while helping us in every way. I very much like to avoid going other extreme routes."

In the end, Steve had his arms around his shoulder as Peter begrudgingly had to endure his teasing. He was worried about his men but as Steve said, they were just subdued without any substantial injuries.

It showed Peter that his men needed more training, getting bested by someone like Steve and his team was a humiliation that he wasn't willing to endure for a second time.

Ellie was also freed from her restraint. She was still shook, not even paying attention to what was happening around her. She found herself in front of a man who was wearing different armour but he also looked dangerous.

Only when a female ghost soldier came and comforted her that she relaxed and finally started paying attention to what was happening around her.

"Who are you people? Why did they kidnapped me?" She asked the soldier.

"I think you already know the reason. Our boss send us to rescue you because you have became a crucial link between the powe struggle that started when he beat up the man who was harrassing you, that day." She explained.

"Why me? I don't know anything. I don't even know him."

"I know but you can help identify him which is why these people kidnapped you. I can't tell you everything because it will only harm you in the end but trust our captian. He will surely rescue you. We will take you to a safe place for few days after which you can gi back to your life."

"What? I can't leave! What will happen to my practice? I can't afford to get disqualified-"

"Don't worry. Everything will remain the same. There will be explanation given to all the parties so you don't have to explain yourself. That's the least we can do to drag you into the mess."

"I...is he here too?"

"You mean our boss? No, he is busy with some other matter."

Ellie stopped talking knowing she wouldn't be able to gather anything from the tight-lipped soldier. She had some inkling that she had became a part of a much bigger conspiracy.

"What are they doing?" She suddenly saw everyone gathering around like something good was about to start.

"A game. This will determine who will leave with you."

"It's better than fighting each other to death. There was a chance that you might have gotten hurt during the clash so I think this is much better."

At last both Steve and Peter came out walking toward the stage. They weren't wearing any armour or had any weapons with them. They looked normal except for their impressive physique which couldn't be hidden under their baggy clothes.

Peter glanced toward Ellie, his eyes carried the same cold feeling which she recognised. She felt the chills locking eyes with her but he paid her no mind standing behind the table taking her place.

Steve moved to the other side, he was smiling from ear to ear like he was here to play. Peter cursed his carefree attitude but he knew it might be his plan to agitate him so he soon calmed himself down as people began to bring in the 'equipment' for their challenge.
