I woke up feeling the fresh wind of the woods. My body was covered in a blanket that I brought with me. Alicia was beside me, but she wasn’t sleeping. She was hugging me tightly.

"I’m sleeping with such a handsome guy~" She said while rubbing her face on my chest.

"Alicia..." I called her name, still half-asleep.

"Oh! Good morning, Rick."

"You are already awake... Did I sleep too much?" I asked her.

"Not really, I was the one who woke up too early. You looked so peacefully asleep that I stayed watching you." She said with a cheerful voice.

"How much time did you stay watching me?" I asked hesitantly.

"Hmm, I think that the sun didn’t rise at that time." She responded with the index finger on her chin. "But does it matter?"

’Of course it matters!’ I thought inwardly, but I didn’t say it. My body was frozen, remembering her yandere behavior from last night. ’I hope she doesn’t go crazy because of me and start killing wildly.’

I sighed deeply, caressing her head. She was one of the members of Leo’s party on SCRL, and her personality in the book was more of a cute and sweet girl, not a love-obsessed yandere. In the book, her character was always well-mannered and kind, very suitable for a Priestess.

’But her wild sexual behavior last night was suitable for a Saintess?’ I asked myself.

"Is there something wrong, Rick?" Alicia asked me, her green eyes fixed on me.

I put almost all the points into Magic, thinking that it didn’t make much sense to put them into other stats for her. She would mostly stay in the backlines as a support, but if she had to deal with an enemy, she didn’t have many options. So I decided to put 1 point into Agility.

’Oh, that’s true! I think I still have my bonus reward to rece– Eh?’ There were some notifications in my mailbox. I had a bad feeling about it.

’Brandish...’ I called Freya’s underling by her name.

’What are these messages?’

[ They are from Lady Freya. It looks like they piled up from before. Why? ]

’It’s really useful!’ The ability to stun enemies could be very useful, as it was in my first fight with Sarah and Leo, but my focus was on the "Holy" part. Holy energy is pretty useful against undead and creatures from darkness. It was close to holy water, but we could use it without preparation.

"Rick, are you ok? You looked disgusted, but now you look very happy." Alicia said, looking at me as if I was going mad.

"It’s about my Tamer power. You gained a new power, Alicia. And a pretty strong one. Holy Light."

"Holy... ?!" She said in a loud voice, more surprised than me. As a former Priestess, she knew the importance of that kind of skill.

"Pretty cool, huh?"

"Can I test it?" She asked me.

"We haven’t tested your powers yet. But it’s better to save it for now. Your skills are very Mana-consuming, so it’s better to save them for when we need them most." I explained to her.

"I see..." Alicia said to me, her happiness about the news disappearing from her expression.

"Huh... We can still try it out before sleep. Our Mana is restored during rest, so it’s no problem." I said, trying to cheer her up, but she still looked gloomy.

We needed to find food, preferably a small animal, but we still needed to find our way to the next town, Ironburgh, to meet up with the others, so we packed our things in my bag and walked in the woods.

"Rick, can I ask you something?" The blond-haired brunette asked. I was carrying our luggage while she was walking by my side with a thoughtful look on her face. I was getting worried about her, so I stopped walking.

"Sure."

"What should I do?" She asked me, in a tense tone.

"Can you be more specific?" I replied to her question, not knowing what she was talking about.

"I don’t want to be a living weight for anyone, but I can’t use my skills. I want to become stronger, so what should I do? Please tell me!" She begged for my advice.

Those feelings, telling her she was useless, were still floating inside her head. So I gave her a flick on her forehead to see if they would escape from her ear, but they didn’t.

"Ouch!" She let out a painful sound. I caressed that thick forehead of hers, to make that little pain I caused go away.

"It’s not your task to become stronger, Alicia." I said to her.

She angrily puffed her cheeks, looking at me with a grim expression. "It’s not your task to be stronger either. You are our Master, so we should fight in your place."

"That’s something that I have to decide. I’m your Master, so I have this kind of perk." I said in a playful voice. "But your case is different. Did you ever fight anyone?"

She would respond to me, but stayed silent, lowering her eyes. She was in a world different from royalty. It was more dangerous than anything from the safe walls of her castle. Her closest experience to that was being attacked by the bandits back then, and it didn’t go well.

"You’re not a fighter like Sarah or an Assassin like Diane. You’re a support. You can heal and protect; that’s the way you’re going to fight."

She raised her head, looking into my eyes, listening to every word I was saying.

"I say that, but your task is really important. A party can have strong members, but without someone to sustain damage or heal the allies, someone can die. So your job is to keep Sarah, Alicia, and of course me still standing."

"I see..." Alicia said, her emerald eyes starting to shine again. "So I’ll become the best healer in Ashia!"

I smiled back at her. "So I’ll be counting on you, Alici–"

My body stopped where I was standing.

"Rick, something wro–"

"Shhh!" I cut Alicia off and put her behind a tree. Thankfully, the creature next to us didn’t notice us.

"Rick," The Saintess whispered close to me. "What are you looking at?"

"I found our next meal!" I said in excitement.
