HUNTED-Chapter 382: The Werewolf & the Huntress (1)
In another part of the pack house, Finn woke up, eyes alight with joy, his body buzzing from the feel of his mate he was spooning in bed. Sariah’s body was naked against his, her skin covered in love bites, but one mark, in particular, made the Delta’s grin broaden.
Leaning closer to the area, Finn kissed the mate mark softly. He and his wolf were elated to have finally mated and marked their mate. It had been excruciatingly long but completely worth it.
His mate was a hunter but with one of the kindest souls he’d ever met. Sariah was a badass driver, a fighter, and a great shot. Everything that is needed for a job, like being a hunter. But her heart was never into killing creatures she’d only ever been taught one side of the story of. That was how Finn knew she was smart and a keeper.
Well, of course, a keeper. Sariah was his mate!
"Alright, calm down on the cuddling!" Sariah giggled but tapped on his arm, which had been squeezing tight over her stomach.
Finn had gotten too excited and was overjoyed to finally feel their bond complete. He could feel what his mate felt, sense when she was ultimately nearby. Although it sucked, he still couldn’t mind-link with her, but she was human and that had to be expected.
"Sorry," he murmured before kissing the mark again and releasing his hold on her. Sariah inhaled sharply at the touch, the area still tender from where his canines had sunk into her flesh, but she didn’t push Finn away either.
Sariah turned onto her side, facing Finn as she leaned against his body. Her gaze lowered to his chiselled body and the light trail of hair from his belly button and down to his boxer briefs. She then smiled up at him, making warmth filter into his chest, and he couldn’t help but caress her jaw and press his lips to hers.
She sighed into him as their foreheads met. Finn kept his eyes closed, staying in the blissful moment that his beautiful mate was going to pop. "Finn.." She whispered, caressing the stubble of his sharp jawline before threading her fingers into the side of his hair.
"No.." He pouted grumpily, sounding more like a child. "One more minute.. please. One more minute of holding you in my arms."
Sariah sighed again and nodded. "Okay." She, too, was unwilling to ruin the moment.
Not that the moment would ever be ruined. Finn knew this was going to happen, and there was another huge decision that needed to be made. One that was going to upturn their lives.
To stay by his mate’s side, Finn would have to leave Silver Crescent pack. It was a hard decision, but Sariah was his mate, and the idea of being away from her was too much. He’d seen how Damon always acted.
Although that situation was completely different, Finn couldn’t imagine continuing how they had been. Couples are in long-distance relationships all the time, but they weren’t an ordinary couple, and only seeing Sariah once a month and only being able to speak to her over the phone and through text messages wasn’t enough.
He was utterly obsessed with her and didn’t want to leave this room, the mate bond was completed, and then they would be separating.
"I have to get ready," Sariah sighed, kissing him briefly and leaving another kiss on his chest before slipping out of his hold.
"Do you want to eat in bed, or do you want to sit with everyone in the kitchen?" Finn pulled a face at that. His wolf was feeling overly possessive even though her mark was there for everyone to see.
Sariah tilted her head to the side, her dark locks falling to the side as she stopped outside the bathroom. "Hmm.. I think we should go downstairs."
Finn’s lips dropped slightly, feeling a pang of disappointment until Sariah finished with: "I need to show off my mate mark to everyone." She flashed him a smile before closing the bathroom door behind her.
Finn had jumped up out of bed, quick to follow her into the bathroom, wanting to practice some more with their nightly activities, but Sariah had locked it on purpose.
He could break the door down.
"I’ll be late if we shower together!" She called from the bathroom, the shower being turned on.
Finn knew then he must have the patience of a saint because he turned around and started putting clothes on. "I’ll get your coffee ready!" He called out to her, and she thanked him.
The girl never took long in the shower, and she was the kind of girl who preferred it if he didn’t wait for her and was useful, not in the sense she expected him to make her a coffee, but to do something else. She wasn’t at all high maintenance and was very relaxed.
Finn grinned as he walked down the corridor and towards the stairwell. The further he got away from his mate, the more his good mood started to diminish. This might be the last time he roams the pack house.
Sure, he could always return as a visitor, but not as Aila’s Delta. He didn’t realise until Aila suggested the position how much the role really suited him. He didn’t come from a family of pack leaders, so he was the first to get to the higher rank in the werewolf hierarchy.
"I see your skin glowing! But no smile on your face!"
Finn rolled his eyes at Ajax’s loud voice. It was too much first thing in the morning. But he had grown used to him over the years in the cell. He ignored the shapeshifter as he grabbed the container full of sugar.

Sariah liked one spoonful of sugar in her coffee. His mate always seemed to have loads of energy. Maybe it was the coffee? It affected humans more than werewolves. She was also very active.
He smirked to himself, his thoughts flashing back to the night before. She certainly kept up with him well.
