HUNTED-Chapter 415: Thinking with your D
Kodi was pissed. He was pissed over stuff that he shouldn’t be wasting his time over. It was utter bullshit.
Yet, all weekend, he expected some desperate text from Her Highness. He’d been anticipating it, and when Miss Madam on her high horse didn’t message, he was irritated, to say the least. From what he’d observed of her so far, the Princess wasn’t that courageous in the first place, so she must have been more drunk than he realised.
He never intended to give her his number, but Blaze snatched the phone before he could stop him. The sneaky fucker.
Then there was the part where they’d pretty much dry-humped each other against a wall, kissing like the world was going to end the next day. Kodi couldn’t hold back. She’d been a tease from the beginning in that tiny black dress, then to dance with someone that wasn’t him?! To do that right in front of him….
THEN she climbs into the same car with the same leech!
He slammed his fist into the bleacher, trying and failing to hide his snarl. Any students that were attempting to become friends with their group scurried off, glancing in his direction. Ash looked at him, irritated that the two girls speaking to him left.
Kodi glared right back at him but turned away, looking back at the field, his thoughts consuming him again. That kiss had almost been his undoing. All his pent-up rage was sizzling over, his wolf over the moon, pleading that he tell her everything.

’Stop thinking with your dick,’ Kodi hissed at his wolf. Up until he’d touched the little Princess in that awful club, Blaze had been in his corner, mostly backing him. The moment that sweet little ass nudged against his groin, and her scent clung to him like her hands in his hair, Blaze was done. He caved, gave in like a little pussy whipped pup.
’Stop being a di…’ Blaze trailed off his remark. His wolf’s attention zeroed in on the Princess. She was on the other side of the bleachers, walking back from her lesson. ’Where’s our mark?’
Kodi’s feet moved before he could stop himself. He followed Keira from the other side of the bleachers, his eyes locked on her like she was his target. The hickey he knew wouldn’t heal for at least a week, especially with her lack of wolf healing, was gone.
GONE.
It was like something snapped in him. He barely registered Ash following him, asking him what he was doing.
"Kodi!" Ash slammed into him, stopping him in his tracks. "What are you doing?!"
Kodi’s gaze snapped back to Ash. They were outside the back of the girls’ changing rooms; Mrs Clarke looked in their direction, waiting outside. She was a stern-looking woman, at least 6 feet tall, broad, and with brown-red curly hair pinned back in an attempt to keep it looking smart. With her white and turquoise striped tracksuit on, she looked like a typical P.E. teacher. Looked.
But she knew a thing or two about fighting.
Ash laughed, attempting to make them look casual, putting his arm around Kodi’s shoulders, or attempting to—Kodi was taller and broader—and directed him into their changing rooms. "You almost stalked her into the changing rooms! What were you thinking?!"
Kodi didn’t respond. Instead, he paced until he couldn’t pace anymore. Ash tried to converse with him a few more times, then gave up, but he remained by his side. When his thread of patience snapped, Kodi stormed out of the changing rooms and into the hallway, his step faltering slightly when he saw the Princess’s guard waiting outside the girls changing rooms.
They stopped behind the corner as he tried to plan out his next move.
Cass, the blondie that liked hanging around them, rushed past the guard; looking down, intimidated, Kodi tsked and caught her arm. "Is the Princess still in there?" He grunted, removing his hand like he’d just touched a turd.
"Y-yes." Cassie blinked up at him in shock. Kodi didn’t interact with them; it was usually Ash.
"Anyone with her?"
"Those two girls… Her friends... Rhea and... Sarah?"
"Sora," Ash amended.
"Yeah, whatever," Cass snorted.
"I need the Princess alone," Kodi grumbled under his breath.
"Cass… Can you be a doll and check when Her Highness is on her own?" Ash asked, his voice both charming and mischievous like what they were going to do next was to get back at the Princess.
Cass’s eyes lit up, and she smiled maliciously. "Oh, I’ll let you know…" She purred and returned to the changing rooms.
Ash’s head whipped back to look at Kodi. "What do you plan on doing?!"
"Teaching her a lesson," Kodi smirked.
"Alright… When it’s clear, I’ll act as decoy." Ash was set on this plan now.
Like Kodi, Ash was a rogue, and somehow, before entering this academy, Ash insisted on becoming friends with him. It had been a long six months of his persistent chatter and kind attempts to welcome Kodi into their last school and friendship group before Kodi caved and began chatting back.
At the time, he didn’t think he’d be there long and didn’t bother with trying to make friends—it was the rogue way.
"Are you sure you can handle that?" Kodi pointed his head in the guard’s direction.
Ash grinned. "Oh, don’t you worry-"
"I’m not."
"I’ll find a way…" Ash paused, noting Kodi’s unconcerned expression, even if there was an underlying pent-up rage that anyone could feel within a foot of him.
Cass rounded the corner. "Her Highness," she said snidely. "Is alone."
"Good job," Ash praised.
"What do you plan to do?" Cass asked, inviting herself to stay with them.
"None of your business," Kodi said bluntly, staring down at her. Kodi rescinded that unwelcome invitation.
Cass’s lips dropped. "Fine." She stormed off. "It better be good."
"I think my charms are working on him," Rhea claimed after the guard ushered them down the opposite end of the hallway. It was actually the perfect distraction.
Sora snorted. "Yeah, right!" Their voices grew fainter.
Ash still left his side anyway, and just as his hand pressed against the girls’ changing room door, the guard turned around.
"Hey!"
"Eek," Ash squeaked and turned in the opposite direction, sprinting past Kodi. "You owe meeee…"
The guard rushed past after him, and there was a loud crash and scuffle. He was pretty sure he heard Ash cry or whimper.
Kodi snuck by and pushed the door open. It slammed into the wall unintentionally. Well, unintentionally, until he got a whiff of her scent and the reminder of how intoxicating she was and why he was there.
