Husband you've abandoned me. Fine, I'll focus on raising my son-Chapter 213: we discuss tomorrow
JASMINE’S POV
"Touch me again, and I’ll bite your balls off, Keith," I screamed at him. How dare he pin me down like that?
I didn’t care about his bodyguards or what they might do to me for touching him, nor did I care what he did to me. I was going to continue to fight against him. I was still thoroughly pissed he was forcing me to go along with his plan, regardless I did have to find Tony.
His blue eyes slowly met mine, and I made eye contact, ready to take him on. Once again took the slap. Much to my surprise, he didn’t say anything, just took it as his cheek began to turn red. Why? I asked myself.
He then gave me space and backed away from me, and sat on the side of the bed.
After an awkward silence, his lips parted. "We’ll continue talking tomorrow after you rest," he told me.
My rage-filled eyes glared at him.
"Let me ask you one thing, Keith, once we find Tony, what are you going to do with us?" I asked, wondering what his long-term plan was.
He blinked slowly before looking away from me. "We will talk about it once we find him." That was all he said in an unconvincing voice.
I scoffed as I looked away from him. Refusing to give me a clear answer just told me that he wasn’t planning on letting me go easily.
He then got up from the bed and walked away. I he was making his way to the exit, but he picked up the pillows I had thrown at him earlier. He then returned to me and placed them on the bed.
I flinched as he neared me. He ignored my resistance to his closeness and put the pillows at my feet.
"Goodnight, Jasmine," he said.
I glared at him but didn’t say anything in response.
He then simply walked out of the room. A loud sigh of relief came over me at the sound of the door closing behind him. Moments later, the door opened again, and my guard tensed up again. I saw it was a servant who
I felt bad that I was making the servant work unnecessarily. I got into the wheelchair that was beside the bed and went towards the windows of the room.
A conservatorship, I thought to myself in frustration. My eyes looked at the estate courtyards below. How do I even fight against that? Everything Kieht was doing to me was technically legal, and that’s what made it so horrifying. As my guardian, he could keep me under his watch for ’safety’.
Even keeping my phone away from me wasn’t illegal. It wasn’t right to have a phone, and since he was my guardian, he could take away my possessions.
The problem was that it didn’t have a set date; however, as long as the situation persisted, he could keep the court order. With Tony missing and the threat to my life being in danger, he had the grounds to ask again for another. He was still the more powerful one between the two of us.
I let out a frustrated sigh. The problem was that he had a head start in the process whilst I was unconscious. But from a moral standpoint, Keith, this was just wrong on so many levels.
All I could think of was Tony, who was probably out there terrified as Keith was playing around like this. ’Tony,’ I said to myself. ’I’ll find you.’ I thought to myself. I just hoped he was unharmed. With a week already having passed, I could only imagine the fear he was in.
Looking down at the yard below, illuminated by the garden lights, I saw the wall that surrounded the property in the distance. I couldn’t see the gate; however, it was on the other side of the property.
With my foot like this, I couldn’t run around, let alone try to escape.
For now, I would bide my time as I heal and work with Keith, see what I could find out about Tony’s kidnapper.
’Please be safe, Tony.’ I thought to myself. I remained looking out the window for a moment. I felt a heavy weight on my heart as I thought of him.
************
"Ma’am, breathe in slowly," she said as she held the oxygen mask to my nose and mouth. I did my best to steady my breathing as I took in the pure oxygen to help me breathe easier.
The attack happened shortly after I finished breakfast and had received my medicine. To get the poison out of my system I had to take a pill the doctor from the hospital prescribed me twice a day after a meal. For me that was breakfast and dinner.
With the medicine, the poison was slowly working its way out of my system but unfortunately, there were times when it could suddenly flare up. I would having trouble breathing almost like an asthma attack.
After a few minutes, my breathing steadied and Anne finally took off the mask. I was so annoyed by how powerless and weak I felt.
"Can I go outside? Maybe some fresh air would do me good as well," I asked her. "Yes of course, that’s a great idea," she surprisingly agreed. I was testing to see what I was allowed and wasn’t allowed to do. At the very least, Keith allowed me to move around the estate.
Shortly after we were done, she then helped me in the wheelchair and took me to out of my room.
As usual, we passed the bodyguards outside my room, and one accompanied Nurse Anne and me. Reinforcing Keith’s surveillance on me.
I noticed near my bedroom, there was a room that looked like another bedroom.
"Is that a bedroom?" I asked Anne.
"Yes, it’s Mr. Acland’s room, ma’am," she informed. A disgusted frown formed on my face.
He was decent enough to give me my own room but he still too close to mine.
