I alone am the Honoured One!-Chapter 794: Delicious...
Chapter 794: Delicious...
Yan Zijin huffed softly as she moved to the small stool in the corner of the shower, sitting down with her back to him.
Her wet hair clung to her shoulders as the water traced delicate paths down her spine.
She glanced over her shoulder, "Well? Get to it, disciple."
Zhao Tian smiled, grabbing the soap from the nearby ledge and lathering it between his hands.
The scent of jasmine filled the air as he knelt behind her, his hands gliding over her back in slow strokes.
His fingers smoothed the soap into her skin, tracing the curve of her shoulders and the gentle dip of her spine.
"Like this, Master?" he asked as he pressed his palms firmly against her back, massaging the tension away.
"Hmm," Yan Zijin hummed, her head tilting forward slightly as she relaxed under his touch.
"Not bad... for a shameless disciple."
His hands moved with care, spreading the suds across her skin, but as he reached her sides, a smile appeared on his lips.
His fingers slid forward, slipping beneath her arms to cup her breasts once more, giving them a gentle squeeze.
The soap made his touch slick, and he kneaded lightly, a playful smile spreading across his face.
"H-Hey!" Yan Zijin’s body stiffened and she twisted to glare at him.
"Tian, I said wash my back, not... not that!" she muttered and grabbed his wrists.
Zhao Tian chuckled, his hands lingering for a moment before retreating back to her shoulders. "Sorry, Master, my hands slipped," he said as he resumed soaping her back.
"Just making sure every part of you is clean."
"Slipped, my foot," she muttered as she settled back onto the stool.
"Focus on my back, or I’ll make you regret it later."
"Yes, yes, Master,"
He smoothed the soap into her skin, his fingers gliding over her back, tracing the curve of her spine gently.
Yan Zijin let out a soft sigh, her shoulders relaxing despite her earlier protests.
...
The shower’s warm water tapered off as Zhao Tian turned the knob, the last droplets pattering against the tiles.
He stepped out first, shaking water from his hair before grabbing a towel from the hanger.
With a quick glance back at Yan Zijin, who was still rinsing soap from her skin, he walked out of the bathroom.
In his room, he rummaged through his storage ring and took out a loose black robe and a pair of trousers.
He dried off quickly, slipping into the clothes and with a contented sigh, he flopped onto the bed, stretching out on his back.
His gaze drifted to the ceiling, his mind replaying the moments in the rupture.
A few minutes later Yan Zijin stepped into the room and a white towel was wrapped snugly around her waist, leaving her upper body bare.
Water droplets clung to her collarbones, catching the dim light of the room, and her wet hair hung over her shoulders.
She walked to him and sat on the edge of the bed. "Tian, do you have clothes? I lost my storage ring."
Zhao Tian propped himself up on his elbow, his eyes sweeping to her bare body "Well, don’t you look comfortable, Master?"
"Clothes, huh? I thought you liked being naked after the rupture."
Her eyes narrowed, and she took a step closer, pointing a finger at him. "Don’t start, disciple. I’m serious. Find me something to wear."
She adjusted the towel slightly, ensuring it stayed in place.
He laughed, rolling off the bed "Master, you are asking for woman’s clothes from a man."
Yan Zijin shook her head "It’s okay, just give me your clothes. I can wear it."
"Alright, alright, no need to get feisty." He took a men’s white robe from his storage ring.
He held it up, giving it a quick shake. "This should fit. Unless you’d rather borrow my trousers,"
Yan Zijin snatched the robe from his hand, "The robe will do," she said curtly, turning slightly to slip it on.
The fabric draped over her shoulders, and she tied it loosely at the waist, the towel still tucked beneath until she was fully covered.
She glanced at him, her expression softening slightly "Thank you..."
He nodded his head and got up from the bed, stretching his arms.
Without another word, he stepped out of the room and walked to the control room of the ark in the front.
Zhao Tian approached the main control panel and maneuvered through it.
"Initializing system... Ark’s nature: Stable. Internal temperature: Optimal. Astral Integrity: 98%. Command authority recognized: Zhao Tian."
The map expanded in front of him in the holographic visuals.
Zhao Tian narrowed his eyes as he manipulated the panels with a few hand motions. freewebnøvel.coɱ
He zoomed in on a particular cluster of stars before flicking his fingers to rotate the map.
His gaze locked onto a familiar glimmering point in the middle of the spiral... Rui Lian’s Star.
"Coordinates located," he muttered to himself.
With a few taps, he set the navigation parameters. The interface responded with a chime.
Auto-course engaged.
Zhao Tian exhaled softly as the ark began to move.
Behind him, the door slid open quietly and Yan Zijin entered in.
Looking around, she was quite amazed "You really have a good ark. It must have been so costly."
He just chuckled and walked past her, stepping out of the room "Come, I will make something for you to eat. You must be hungry too."
Yan Zijin hurriedly nodded her head "Yeah, yeah.. we were starving for days in rupture."
Zhao Tian led the way through the ark’s corridor, and she closely followed him.
Eventually, they entered the kitchen bay lined with modern metallic shelves, crystal-based heat plates, and a sleek astral energy-powered cooking station.
A rectangular preparation slab stood in the center, glowing faintly with enchantments to preserve ingredients.
Yan Zijin whistled, "Even the kitchen feels noble. You really went all out on this ark."
Zhao Tian smiled as he walked to a side panel and tapped on it.
A concealed storage drawer slid open, revealing packs of preserved beast meat, spirit herbs, and containers of spices.
"Skyhorn Ox. Tough but rich in energy. Good for recovery."
Yan Zijin’s stomach growled audibly at the mention "Don’t talk. Just cook."
He raised an eyebrow "Impatient, are we?"
She plopped onto a cushioned stool beside the slab and propped her chin on her hand "You know I haven’t eaten actual food in days. That disgusting rupture dust doesn’t count."
Zhao Tian chuckled as he began.
He placed the meat on the enchanted prep slab and a soft blue light shimmered over the surface, searing away any impurities.
He took a blade and sliced it into thick, even pieces, then tossed them onto the grill, where they began sizzling instantly with a satisfying crackle.
The smell hit the air immediately and Zhao Tian added a few drops of oil made from moonlotus seeds, letting the aroma intensify.
He grabbed some peppers and diced them, tossing them into a side pan with beast marrow broth.
Yan Zijin leaned over the counter, sniffing exaggeratedly. "Mmm... if you weren’t a cultivator, you could make a living as a chef."
He flipped the meat with a flourish "Mhm, I can do good side business."
A few more moments passed, and the meat was perfectly charred on the outside, juicy within.
He plated it quickly, adding a side of spirit-broth-soaked grain buns and a scoop of glazed root vegetables from a preserved stash he had in the ark.
He placed the dish in front of her. "Here. Skyhorn Ox with marrow glaze and spiritroot garnish."
Yan Zijin stared at the food like it was the most divine thing she’d ever seen. "This... this is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever-"
She didn’t even finish.
She picked up the fork and immediately stuffed a bite into her mouth and her eyes widened the moment she tasted it.
"Tian. This is amazing!"
Zhao Tian smiled, sitting across from her with his own plate. "Good to hear that. Eat up."
"Mhmmm."
