I Am Genie-Chapter 66: Raphael: Just a Little God
Dragon God still had the strength to stand firm even though the dragon scales on her body were peeling off, her face covered in blood. These injuries were ultimately just superficial, not a single one of her bones was cracked.
Leo and Michael, on the other hand, were screwed. Their eyes were dull, although their spirit was still there, their physical strength was truly lacking. Inside their bodies, some bones were broken, some were cracked, the wound on Michael’s chest was still oozing blood.
Seeing that ’dead duck not afraid of boiling water’ attitude of those two, Dragon God felt extremely uncomfortable. On what basis were these two weaklings not afraid of her? Was it because they were brave, or were they just stupid?
"You two... That’s enough! Your eyes are all messed up, but you still dare to face me? I am a god, you know. Where do you get your confidence?"
She was utterly baffled by the strange confidence of Michael and Leo. This excessive confidence required a sufficiently great power to back it up, but where was this power ultimately coming from? From those two battered bodies?
"Confidence? I’m confident because I’ve got a damned old man."
Leo smirked, then immediately threw a punch. Michael, in perfect sync, immediately coordinated to help him teleport to Dragon God’s side.
Being off guard, she took another punch to the face. The force of the punch was significantly weaker than before, but her face was no longer as cold and composed as before. For a moment, her face twisted to the side, fresh blood spurting from her mouth.
Raphael was a bit farther away, and Leo had just spoken very quietly, so he didn’t catch it. But looking at the current situation, ninety percent chance it was almost his turn to show up.
"Hmph, only remembering this old man of yours when trouble hits." Raphael snorted, but his expression didn’t show any hint of disgust.
After all, living with an object for a long time creates feelings, let alone living with your own son. Even though the two of them didn’t see eye to eye due to differing ideals, aside from that issue, there were no other problems.
The fact that Leo was weird and not like a normal child, Raphael didn’t pay it any mind. What kind of past Raphael had, Leo didn’t care about either. The relationship between the two of them was both like father and son and also had a certain equal footing.
Michael at this moment was like he’d just used some banned stimulant. He was clapping his hands wildly, ignoring the pain and the unclear feeling in his nerves.
Leo, of course, wasn’t going to be outdone. His whole body, who knows how many bones were broken, but he still stubbornly threw one punch after another. At this moment, his sensory nervous system seemed completely paralyzed, not feeling an ounce of pain.
He just kept punching, not caring if he landed them or not, every punch thrown with full force. Dragon God’s face kept getting pummeled, making it twist horribly at this moment.
Enraged, she intended to use the old trick, but now there were more variables. Michael no longer simply teleported Leo to positions around her. Both above and below were now being fully utilized by him.
One of Leo’s punches slammed into the top of her head, making her head feel like it was about to explode. Her vision went dark, the image in front of her starting to blur.
"Enough!"
She roared, her entire body’s muscles tensing up. Her large hand immediately grabbed Leo’s head, then she threw a kick, sending him flying towards Michael.
While Michael was still reacting, she summoned the Seven-Hued Celestial Dragon Spear and launched it straight at Michael.
In the critical situation, Michael didn’t even have time to carefully choose a spot. He just teleported himself and Leo roughly to two positions not far apart.
As soon as he stopped, he warily watched the spear, thinking it would continue chasing him, but this time was completely different. The spear continued speeding straight towards an empty spot, piercing into a tree trunk and getting stuck, leaving him stunned.
At the same time, Dragon God suddenly appeared right beside him. She kicked him straight in the side, sending him crashing into the tree.
Michael lay writhing on the ground, his breathing labored, blood uncontrollably gushing from his mouth, defying his will. His originally dazed eyes now held not a single spark of light. Only his weak breathing served as proof that he was still alive.
Leo right now wasn’t in much better shape. Although he hadn’t been knocked unconscious, getting back up was extremely difficult for him.
Dragon God clenched the divine artifact in her palm, her body staggering heavily as she stepped forward, step by step, towards Leo.
"Ha ha... Aren’t you pretty arrogant? Aren’t you pretty confident? How come now you don’t even have the strength to stand up?" Dragon God taunted, but the exhaustion in her breath was clearly visible.
Her whole body was now covered in blood, her physical strength nearly gone. Even though she had been beaten badly, victory was in her grasp, so it wasn’t a big problem.
"Huff huff... I lose..."
Leo sat up with difficulty, breathing hard as he uttered those words of defeat.
"Lose? Ha ha ha..."
These words sounded like some twisted joke to Dragon God’s ears. A tired but murderous laugh rang out from her mouth.
"Not lose, but... die."
As soon as she finished speaking, she thrust the spear straight towards Leo’s heart. If those two had known their place at the beginning, knelt down and sincerely flattered her, maybe she wouldn’t have wanted to kill them. But Leo and Michael had injured her this badly, there was no way to forgive them now.
A loud, piercing sound of metal clashing rang out. Dragon God was stunned, because this wasn’t the scene that should be playing out in her mind.
A middle-aged man with a scruffy appearance had appeared from who knows where. The exquisite sword in his hand was blocking right in front of Leo’s chest.
He had his back turned to her, one hand clasped behind his back, his eyes not even bothering to open. His demeanor was leisurely yet arrogant, like a true supreme being who paid no mind to the insignificant attack of an ant.
"Just a little god... I can suppress you easily with one hand."
