I Am Genie-Chapter 69: Stop
Michael thought about it but couldn’t figure out that right after he just escaped death, the worst nightmare of his life immediately showed up.
Although the punishment of being imprisoned inside the brass oil lamp strongly affected his spirit, he had only experienced a few days so he hadn’t felt it clearly yet. But Dragon God was different; just by looking at her, Michael immediately felt a sharp pain in his chest as if it had just been pierced.
"You dare curse me? If you’re so tough, stand still and face me!" 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Dragon God roared and ran like crazy, relentlessly chasing Michael. On her face, there was no trace of anger, on the contrary, she was unusually excited. Perhaps her way of ’enjoying’ revenge had changed after hearing Raphael’s conditions.
"I didn’t! Don’t you dare falsely accuse me just to find an excuse to pick a fight with me."
Michael immediately turned his head and spat saliva towards her. Picking a fight and then falsely accusing him, did she really think he was easy to bully? He couldn’t beat her in a fight, but he didn’t believe she could ’run’ faster than him.
"I don’t care. You’ve chosen your path to death."
Dragon God clearly had no intention of reasoning with him. Right now, she just wanted to beat him into that half-dead state once more.
Michael saw that talking was useless, so he continuously teleported. In an instant, he had gone far beyond her sight.
Stopping on top of a very tall tree with a view wide enough to observe the situation below, only then could he breathe a sigh of relief.
"Damn it, why am I so unlucky huh? Damn Raphael, why didn’t you just kill her off and be done with it? Leaving this mobile bomb running around, does it help you sleep better?"
The more he thought, the more he couldn’t understand the reason why Dragon God was still alive, moreover, living very well.
Feeling like his body had hardly any strength left, Michael wanted to find something to eat but looking around, he saw nothing big enough.
"Now, going home then..."
He was considering running home to freeload off Raphael’s food, but he immediately shook his head, rejecting this thought.
"No way, that crazy woman is definitely still nearby. Gotta wait a bit longer then."
Just as he said that, he was paying attention to the commotion below but found it extremely strange. If a being with a huge build and rough actions like Dragon God was running around looking for him, it couldn’t possibly be this quiet.
"Got bored ’cause she can’t find me?"
Michael frowned but immediately rejected this thought. She had come from some faraway place and still managed to find him and Leo, there’s no way running just a few miles could shake her off.
So he just sat still up on the treetop. This period of time passed extremely boringly, making him sleepy again.
Sitting still in one spot for about a few hours without detecting any movement nearby, he gradually lost patience.
"I’m starving to death... Damn it, no more hiding. If she’s lying in ambush, I can still run away... Yes, it’s not too late."
Domain Expansion – Supreme Kitchen!
Michael immediately used his domain and before long arrived at the backyard of the house. Here there was a big roasted pig that had already been cold for a few hours. The flavor dropped sharply but it was still considered edible.
He did this not because using the domain felt more comfortable than jogging, but to prepare. As soon as Dragon God appeared, he would run away, that way she couldn’t do anything to him.
Even though the domain was observing for him, he still had to glance around to see if there was any sign of Dragon God nearby. When he saw no one, he felt relieved and started to sneakily eat.
Since he was born, had he ever been this wretched before? Even eating had to be done sneakily, making him feel this wasn’t him.
The more he thought, the angrier he got, Michael ground his teeth. His teeth tore at the meat more and more fiercely, as if to vent the rage inside him.
"Damn b*tch... One day I’ll pin you down and rub you hard. I’ll scrape off all your dragon scales."
Saying those brave words made him feel incredibly satisfied inside. Then he started cursing her out fiercely. The more he cursed, the more satisfying it felt. Can’t beat her in a fight and don’t dare curse her to her face, so cursing behind her back isn’t a bad choice.
A spear flew fast and stabbed straight toward the front of Michael, making him open his mouth and drop the piece of meat to the ground.
Sweat suddenly drenched his forehead. His gaze looked toward the dense bushes that were shaking violently as if being rammed by a large and ferocious wild boar.
From inside the bushes, a fierce dragon head emerged. Her eyes were excited, the corner of her mouth couldn’t hide her smile.
"If you’re brave enough, then stand right there and keep cursing me out."
Dragon God said as she charged forward furiously like a cannonball, knocking down everything in her path, scaring Michael so much his body trembled.
"You... You... What do you actually want me to do for you to stop?"
Michael gathered all his courage to sit still and face her. If she really got within a five-meter range, he would teleport immediately.
"Hehe, simple. Just let me beat you like last time."
She smiled but her speed didn’t slow down at all. The long spear appeared in her hand and she swung it down fiercely. The vicious sound of tearing wind rang out as if the spear tip was splitting space.
Michael saw the danger and immediately teleported to increase the distance. Even without him there, her attack didn’t stop, so the poor pig, even though it was already dead, was cruelly split in half.
"Stop! If you continue like this, I will run away. Then no matter how hard you try to chase, you won’t be able to hit me."
Even though their strength was mismatched, Michael was still confident in his running ability. At least since coming to this world, he hadn’t seen anything faster than instantaneous teleportation.
Strangely, Dragon God actually stopped. Since when did she become this easy to talk to? Saying stop and she immediately stops like this made Michael feel extremely unfamiliar.
"You... what are you doing?" Michael frowned in suspicion.
"Huh??? Didn’t you tell me to stop? If there’s nothing else, then I’ll continue." Dragon God impatiently hoisted her spear.
"Wait! I really do have something I want to say." Michael quickly calmed her down.
