I am not just a tycoon-Chapter 769 - 456: The Female Bodyguard’s Schemes, The Nun and The Nurse_2
The premise is that Tan Xin isn't wearing pads, but whether she is or not needs some guesswork.
Judging by her character, though, she doesn't seem like the type who would wear pads.
Tan Xin cleared her throat with a deliberate "ahem," interrupting Shen Yuan's inappropriate gaze, and then said, "Boss, where do we start?"
This was the first time the two were working out together, and Tan Xin still couldn't figure out Shen Yuan's preferences.
"Warm up first, then run for half an hour, and finish with another half-hour of equipment."
"Got it."
Tan Xin nodded slightly. A little over an hour of exercise seemed reasonable.
She started Shen Yuan off with some basic fitness moves using light dumbbells, then hopped onto the treadmill. The gym space in this villa was significantly larger than the one at Green Bamboo Lake, so it had three treadmills. Out of habit, Tan Xin got on the one on the left, leaving the middle one for Shen Yuan.
But as soon as she got on the treadmill, she suddenly remembered she'd used the middle one the night before. This model had a memory function, and the running times and distances were all recorded.
Could the boss discover I was running here at midnight?
Running isn't a big deal, but running in the middle of the night instead of sleeping… that might raise some questions. Somehow, Tan Xin felt uneasy about what her boss might infer.
"Start up your treadmill, what are you staring at me for?"
Shen Yuan glanced over and joked with a smirk, "Spying on the boss? Careful, that's deduction-worthy behavior, you know."
Tan Xin quickly looked away, silently praying Shen Yuan wouldn't check the treadmill log.
But the more you worry about something, the more likely it is to happen. Shen Yuan had planned to start running right away, but her peculiar behavior and the extra glances she threw at his treadmill's control panel made him suspicious.
So Shen Yuan opened the workout log.
The latest entry read: "00:35 AM - 01:20 AM, Distance: 9.5KM."
"You were running at 1 AM last night?" Shen Yuan looked over at Tan Xin.
Tan Xin felt a tightness in her chest, fired up the treadmill, and started running. "Let's focus on the workout, Boss."
?
Running in the middle of the night instead of sleeping? There's something fishy going on, for sure.
Shen Yuan tucked this thought away, planning to probe further tonight to figure out what was up with his bodyguard.
After the run, it was time for strength training.
In truth, Shen Yuan was already well-acquainted with all the equipment, but in front of Tan Xin, he pretended to be a clueless beginner.
"Is this the leg press? How does this thing work?"
"Oh, there's a pull-up machine too? Come show me how to use it."
"I'm scared I'll get hurt doing bench presses. Could you spot me?"
"......"
Tan Xin was helpless. Looking at the muscle definition on Shen Yuan, it was obvious he worked out regularly — at least for over a year. How could he possibly not know how to use basic gym equipment?
During the process, some physical contact was inevitable. Some of it was inadvertent, but much of it was Shen Yuan blatantly taking liberties.
Of course, he only had the guts to touch her hands and legs — he didn't dare move anywhere near her butt. After all, this female bodyguard was a trained sanda fighter who had even won awards.
He'd probably need to master some advanced combat skills before he'd stand a chance against her in a fight.
Tan Xin tried her best to maintain distance, evading whenever Shen Yuan made a move. When things went too far, she'd calmly admonish, "Boss, please behave."
But the more she told him to behave, the more pumped up Shen Yuan became.
I won't behave. What are you going to do? Bite me?
......
By the time Dong Ya and Qi Xi arrived at Silver Lake Bay, it was already 2 PM. Dong Ya sat in the second row of the Alphard, her expression contemplative.
"The villa at Green Bamboo Lake was already luxurious enough, but I didn't expect he'd buy an even more extravagant one. Tsk, these villas must cost tens of millions at the very least."
Dong Ya thought she had already seen it all, but she was once again blown away by the opulence of the rich.
This place offered a rare combination of tranquility amid the bustling city. Silver Lake Bay was still a gated attraction, and its lake was noticeably clearer than Green Bamboo Lake's. The distances between houses here were much greater too.
As they entered the villa community, the view became even more expansive. Despite there being only a handful of villas, they occupied significantly more space than the surrounding residential areas.
Before long, the car pulled into the B2 level and the two women got out.
Aside from her handbag, Dong Ya also carried two shopping bags. Qi Xi asked, "Yaya, what's in those bags?"
"That's a secret."
Dong Ya replied with a mysterious smile.
Qi Xi chuckled but didn't press further. The two walked arm in arm as the driver guided them to the elevator.
"They even have an elevator here!"
Dong Ya's eyes sparkled with excitement.
Compared to Dong Ya's lively nature, Qi Xi was more reserved. "Yaya, are we staying for dinner here, or should we head back by then?"
Dong Ya smiled. "The question you should be asking is whether we're staying overnight."
Qi Xi quickly shook her head. "That's not appropriate."
Dong Ya flicked her forehead lightly. "It's just staying overnight, not doing anything else. Besides, tomorrow's a day off. This place is so scenic and comfortable. Isn't it better than your cramped dorm room?"
Qi Xi hesitated. "Still… staying over feels a bit improper."
"What's the big deal? Relax."
With a soft "ding," the elevator arrived on the first floor. Dong Ya, arm still entwined with Qi Xi's, stepped into the villa, where only Ji Ya was waiting for them. There was no sign of Shen Yuan.
"Miss Dong, Miss Qi, good afternoon."
Ji Ya greeted them with a polite nod. "The boss is taking a nap."
"We'll wait until he wakes up, then. Can you show us around the villa in the meantime?" Dong Ya's eyes gleamed with curiosity.
"Of course."
In fact, the layout of this villa was somewhat similar to the one at Green Bamboo Lake, but the materials, size, and facilities here were on a completely different level.
The previous villa didn't have an underground parking lot, and it only had six slots. This villa, on the other hand, had an entire floor dedicated to parking, with twelve slots in total.
