Chapter 1622: Chapter 1621: True Spirit

"Hmph! Trying to escape in front of me? You’re too naive!" Zhang Xiaohao said disdainfully.

With a grab of his right hand, the surrounding nature’s spiritual energy trembled, forming a giant hand that dominantly reached toward the White Jade Turtle inside the Three Dragon True Cauldron.

Seeing the giant hand, completely condensed from nature’s spiritual energy, getting closer, the little turtle inside the Three Dragon True Cauldron suddenly moved again.

A strange milky-white beam of light flashed, and a mysterious pattern appeared on the shell of the White Jade Turtle. Following this, the White Jade Turtle disappeared from inside the Three Dragon True Cauldron.

Hiss!!!

The spiritual energy giant hand inside the Three Dragon True Cauldron grasped at empty air, catching nothing.

"Hmm? What’s going on?" Zhang Xiaohao frowned.

"This-this is the True Spirit Dao Pattern!!!" Hei Wuchang exclaimed in shock.

"True Spirit Dao Pattern? What on earth is that?" Zhang Xiaohao asked puzzled. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

"Brother Qu, you’ve really struck gold this time. This little turtle isn’t an ordinary Mutated Demon Beast; it should be a True Spirit! If I’m not mistaken, it should belong to the Heavenly Turtle Clan! Let’s go and catch it quickly!" Hei Wuchang advised.

"Alright!" Zhang Xiaohao responded.

He waved his right hand, collecting the Three Dragon True Cauldron in front of him, and quickly stood up from the ground with Hei Wuchang.

"Time acceleration!"

"Space displacement!"

Zhang Xiaohao and Hei Wuchang shouted, and as their words fell, their bodies disappeared from the spot. Suddenly, two massive water waves shot up from the river’s surface, and they vanished, plunging into the small river.

The White Jade Turtle was leisurely strolling in the small river, when suddenly, ripples spread from the space behind it, followed immediately by two figures emerging from the space.

"Ah! You two shameless guys! One from the Black Dragon Clan and the other from the Spirit Clan Royalty, teaming up to bully Mr. Turtle. You both deserve to die!" The White Jade Turtle angrily cursed.

Ripples spread over its shell as its silhouette flashed, merging into the water flow and disappearing.

"Hmph! Thinking you can leave in my domain? Little Turtle, you’re overthinking!" Hei Wuchang snorted.

"Water Curtain Barrier!"

"Space displacement!"

Hei Wuchang growled, grabbed Zhang Xiaohao, and with a flash, appeared in a massive barrier. The barrier was black, permeated with imprisoning power. A pure white little turtle was angrily pinned inside the barrier, bound tightly by thin black currents around it, incapable of escaping even against the Water Element Law’s crystalline threads.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Zhang Xiaohao and Hei Wuchang flashed into view in front of the little turtle, examining it amusedly.

"Little Turtle, weren’t you good at running? Go ahead and try running for me!" Zhang Xiaohao challenged.

"Hmph! Two against one, is that skillful? If you dare, release Mr. Turtle and let’s duel one-on-one! If you can catch me in a duel, I’ll concede. If not, let me go!" The White Jade Turtle taunted.

"Tut-tut! You’re quite clever, Little Turtle! Even caught, you want to negotiate. Kudos to your intelligence! But why would we let you go when we’ve caught you fair and square, Heavenly Turtle?" Hei Wuchang sneered.

"Hmph! Knew you two wouldn’t dare! Cowards!" The White Jade Turtle huffed.

Bang!

With cold indifference, Zhang Xiaohao knocked hard on the little turtle’s head, pushing it back.

"Want to play? Fine, I’ll play with you!" Zhang Xiaohao sneered.

"Brother Qu, are you sure about playing with this little turtle? I worry it’s tricking us!" Hei Wuchang warned.

"Tricking? As if I’d fear a turtle?" Zhang Xiaohao smirked.

"Bold! Now that’s someone from the Spirit Clan Royalty, truly flashy and domineering! Now, you can release me!" The White Jade Turtle’s tiny eyes glinted.

"Let’s go up!" Zhang Xiaohao signaled.

"Good!" Hei Wuchang nodded, and they both flashed out of the river, appearing above it again.

"Brother Qu, are you really going to challenge this little turtle?" Hei Wuchang asked again.

"Why? Are you two planning to cheat? If you do, I’ll draw a turtle to forever disdain you both!" White Jade Turtle preemptively stated.

"No need for taunts, Little Turtle. What I promise, I always keep! Said I’d play, so I’ll play. Don’t act too clever! Any tricks, and I’ll roast you! Demon beasts we’ve eaten, but True Spirit’s taste we’ve never tried! Just right to sample your flavor!" Zhang Xiaohao squinted.

"Ah! You-you dare!" White Jade Turtle fumed.

"Dare or not, you’ll find out soon enough." Zhang Xiaohao smiled mysteriously.

"Ah! What are you going to do? I warn you, don’t mess around. Mr. Turtle would rather die!" White Jade Turtle clutched its backside tightly.

Zhang Xiaohao ignored it, grabbing the Sea Snake Three Spirit Fork from beside his ear.

"Little Turtle, if you can drag my weapon, I’ll let you go! If not, I’ll roast you!" Zhang Xiaohao sternly offered.

"Really? You’re not lying to Mr. Turtle?" Little Turtle blinked.

Bang!

Zhang Xiaohao harshly knocked its head again.

"Watch your language, or I’ll roast you now." Zhang Xiaohao’s eyes narrowed.

"Bro, don’t be angry; we’re civilized folks, let’s talk!" The White Jade Turtle said.

"I’ll ask again, bet or not?" Zhang Xiaohao asked.

"Bet! Not betting is foolish! But you better keep your word, don’t cheat when I drag your weapon away." The White Jade Turtle said.

"Rest assured! If you’re capable, we won’t cheat!" Zhang Xiaohao smiled mysteriously.

"Let’s begin then!" The White Jade Turtle said.

"Alright." Zhang Xiaohao nodded.

He grabbed a vintage treasure rope, tying one end to the Sea Snake Three Spirit Fork, then fiercely wound the other end around the White Jade Turtle’s shell, securing it tightly.
