"This is..." Siderius widened his eyes as he saw the two shades of silver rotating around his hand.

He knew these two shades well. One shade was brighter and more elusive. That was the color of his silver soul.

The other was shiny and metallic. It was the color of his mercury mutation.

Kynidus stood up immediately. He had just been explaining everything for less than half an hour. He didn't even start with how the Anu School raised their faith.

But Siderius had already succeeded in creating his own will already.

"You're a genius, huh?" Kynidus smirked and shook his head.

"Not really. When you research a subject for too long, a single breakthrough would be enough to cause a chain reaction."

"Well then. Congratulations. Now I will teach you how to create the steel of will. When you reach it, I will teach you how to reach the other ranks."

"It's alright. I can learn everything at once."

Kynidus's mouth twitched a little, "You arrogant little shit..."

But he did teach Siderius after all.

With faith established, Siderius could produce more will power. This will power was an actual physical energy that he could see in his dark mind space, not something intangible and invisible anymore.

The first rank of Spirit Swordsmen was to use the will power and condensed it into a piece of steel.

Siderius did it very quickly. Spirit and Willpower were his most proud aspects after all.

He sat on the porch in the same meditation pose of a witch hunter. His eyes were closed. Inside his dark mind space, by using the power of his soul, Siderius shaped his willpower into a thick piece of steel.

Quinlan could also produce his own faith but it was much later than Siderius. Siderius did it within an hour while Quinlan did it after eight. The sun was already beginning to set when he succeeded.

Then Kynidus taught Quinlan how to shape his steel of will. It was different from how Siderius was doing.

Kynidus taught Quinlan about the Anu's sword style and by practicing this style continuously, his willpower will also be shaped.

Spirit was the bridge connecting the body and the soul. You could manipulate the Spirit via the body like how the Anu school did. Or you could manipulate it via the soul like Siderius.

The people of this kingdom did not have any way to control their soul. They did not have any Truth-Seekers or the other variations Users. Only Siderius could control Spirit directly using his Soul.

And that made his progress rocketed to the finish line. He felt that he could complete his Steel of Will within a day.

But Siderius didn't complete it yet.

The Anu Spirit Art aimed for your heart to be true. Faith came directly from your heart. Siderius also did the same. But that wasn't the way he wanted to build his spirit.

The witch hunter had a feeling that he could create his own Spirit Art. But he would need to know more Spirit Arts to do so.

Siderius opened his eyes, "The other two masters... I need to find them."

At that time, a large man entered the porch.

It was Jude.

Siderius and Quinlan did try to find him yesterday but Jude was nowhere to be found. They asked the locals about it and they said Jude had gone out to find something for Master Hephaestius.

In his hand was some type of flower. A unique flower with white petals and purple streaks.

"Siderius? Quinlan? You're finally here?" Jude said.

"We came yesterday but we didn't see you." Siderius said.

"Yeah. I have to find something. Master Hephaestius agreed to help Caterina but he needs a certain herb."

"Well. Don't let us slow you down then." Siderius stepped to the side.

Jude nodded to the both of them before running to Kynidus.

"I found the Snow Violet, Master Hephaestius." Jude said.

Kynidus looked up from his beer mug. He sat up slowly and took the flower.

Kynidus took a few sniffs and nodded. "Bring your wife to me."

Jude smiled with joy. He rushed into the castle. Caterina was being placed in one of the guest rooms. Jude carried her to the courtyard.

"Lay her on the porch." Kynidus said.

Jude did as he was told.

Kynidus crushed the Snow Violet in his hands. Pure red willpower leaked out from his skin and went inside the crushed petals.

"This should prevent her mind from disintegrating and wake her up."

Kynidus placed his two hands on Caterina's body. His red will power entered Caterina's psyche.

That shade of red was different than Dark Aether's dark red. It was a bright heroic red.

Once the process was done. Caterina's eyes fluttered open. The first thing she saw was Jude.

"My love?"

Jude hugged Caterina. "You're awake! You're finally awake."

"It's alright, Jude. It's alright." Caterina patted him gently.

Kynidus leaned back and grabbed his mug again. "This is only a temporary fix. If you really want to save her, there is more to be done."

Caterina looked over to Kynidus then scanned the unfamiliar place, "Where is this?"

"This is Everia."

"Everia?! We can't be here!" Caterina tried to get up but her body was just too weak. Jude caught her just in time.

"Relax, Caterina. Siderius recommended me to come here. It's the only way to save you." Jude said.

Siderius stepped forward, "We'll meet again, Caterina. Before doing anything reckless, why don't you here what he has to say first?"

Caterina nodded gently.

Kynidus smiled. He was obviously entertained by everything. It's not everyday that he had two witches from an opposing country come and ask for help.

He could be branded as treason for helping them. But he didn't really care. His heart told him that he should help them. So he did.

"I stabilize your Spirit temporarily. But it will break again. Your spirit was damaged by your magic.

If you want to fix your spirit, you must do two things.

One, to give up on magic forever.

And two, to take the path of the Spirit Swordsman.

Of course. If you do, you will become my student. You shall have no connections left with Eldoria.

You will no longer be witches."

Caterina's eyes widened in surprise. She looked over to Jude.

"To give up on our immortality?" Caterina mumbled.

"The fountain of youth is a trap, my love. We both saw how ugly it could get. This is our way out." Jude said gently.

The pair of husband and wife had come to a crossroad. They had a choice to continue being witches or they could become something else.

It wasn't an impossible task either. There were many cases where witches accepted to be neutered by an Alchemist and became ordinary humans.

Siderius believed that Kynidus could accomplish the same thing. He only wondered what Jude and Caterina would choose.

"Maybe we wouldn't need to face each other as enemies in the future after all…"
