Siderius slept with the crew at night. He hung a thin rope hammock between two poles to sleep.

The sailors all widened their eyes when they saw him lying on it. The rope hammock was so thin that it would break their back if they tried to sleep on it.

Siderius didn't feel anything. His dragon scale prevented all of that.

"That must feel uncomfortable." A sailor said.

"You'll get used to it eventually."

Night fell. Most of the sailors fell to their sleep while a few stayed up to watch the ship. The captain stayed in his own room without anyone to disturb him.

Around midnight, Siderius' ears twitched as he heard screams of uncountable people from the far distance.

Siderius jumped out of his hammock. He shook the old man from before.

"Wake up, Willy. Something's happening!"

"Huh... Huh?" Willy's eyelids fluttered open. "What's going on?"

"Wake up everyone else. Another ship is approaching us."

Willy's eyes shot open entirely. He knew what that meant. Other ships usually wouldn't approach another ship. There was only one explanation for that.

"Pirates are coming, you fool! Get your ass up!"

Willy's words woke everyone up instantly. They followed Siderius to the upper deck.

They saw a moss-covered ruined ship approaching them from afar.

"Holy shit! It's the Depth's Anchor."

The captain was also awake. He used a spyglass to look at the ship from afar.

"All men on decks! Now!" The captain shouted!"

All the sailors scattered to their station. They raised the sail high, quickly pulled up the anchor.

Siderius followed Willy, "What is the Depth's Anchor?"

Willy grabbed a rope and tied it as quickly as he could while speaking with Siderius, "It's a haunted ship in the Open Sea. It's indestructible. The crew are indestructible. They leave no survivors!"

The sailors put the ship at its maximum speed. They sailed the wind to get away from the haunted ship. But their ship was not as fast as the Depth's Anchor. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

They couldn't do anything but to witness the haunted ship slowly get closer and closer.

"Prepare for battle!" The captain shouted.

The sailors rushed to the lower decks. They pulled the booze away and slid the cannons inside the cut-out holes.

Siderius approached the captain from behind.

"If you want. I can take care of the pirate ship for you." Siderius said.

"Are you mad, traveler? This is a haunted ship! They will kill us all!"

"I am not mad, captain. I can deal with it. And they..."

Siderius' eyes flashed all the colors as he scanned the faraway ship. "That ship isn't haunted nor magical. It's just a normal ship."

There was no Magic inside the Depth's Anchor. There was nothing unique about it in Siderius' vision. With Blood Vision, he could also see the blood veins of the people on the Depth's Anchor.

There shouldn't be any living things on a haunted ship. Blood Vision revealed that it wasn't haunted at all.

"If you can deal with that ship. I'll give you back your coins." The captain said.

"Very well. Tell your men to stand down. This will be quick."

Siderius went to the side of the ship. Strength poured into his feet as he jumped up high. The entire ship rocked because of his movement.

"Stand down! Stand down, I tell you!" The captain shouted.

Siderius jumped from this ship, over a long distance, and landed directly on the other ship.

The pirates on this ship wore unique glowing suits that made them look like something otherworldly. But Siderius saw the truth right away.

Those suits were painted with a luminescent substance. There wasn't anything magical about them at all.

"Surrender now or you shall live." Siderius unsheathed the Blazing Soul. He didn't light it on fire as he didn't want to blow his cover.

Almost the entire kingdom of Eldoria knew about his flaming sword already.

"Get him!" A pirate shouted.

They drew their swords and charged at Siderius.

The first pirate lunged at Siderius from behind with the pointy edge aiming at Siderius' back.

Siderius could see everything in a 360 degrees field because of his echolocation. He simply sidestepped, got out of the attack and without looking, spin kicked at the face of the pirate.

His kick was so hard that the pirate was sent flying overboard and falling into the water below.

Two other rushed at him from two sides. Siderius swirled Blazing Soul above his head, deflecting both strikes at the same time. He sliced at the abdomens of both pirates, rendering them useless.

Siderius moved like a shadow. His body turned blurry and the pirates couldn't follow his movement.

He rushed over a line of pirates, leaving each of them with a piercing in the neck. They fell down to the ground with their luminous ghost suits.

"You picked the wrong ship to rob, boys."

The pirates fell like cut reeds. They were no match for Siderius.

The captain of the original ship watched everything from his spyglass.

'It's lucky that we have such a powerful swordsman on our side. I wonder if he has any connection with the North...' The captain thought to himself.

Everyone knew that only the North specialized in swordsmanship. While the South of Eldoria focused on magic.

There were knights in the South as well. But Southern knights had their power from the witches, not true power like Northern knights.

After dealing with the pirates, Siderius set the trip on fire with a torch he found. He then jumped in the air again, skipping a long distance and landing back into his original ship.

The entire ship rocked heavily. The sailors thought their ship was going to sink because of the heavy impact. Luckily, that didn't happen.

Siderius dusted his clothes.

"You're one damn good swordsman, traveler." The captain said.

"Thank you for the compliment." Siderius said.

"Alright, folks! Return to your station! We need to get out of here quickly!" Willy shouted to the sailors.

Even though they weren't in the wrong, these merchants did not like to deal with the authorities. So they do not have any intention of reporting it.
