I Am the Sweetheart of Mr. CEO-Chapter 632: You Must Welcome Him Personally
"Vera, Mr. Cooper, congratulations!"
"Thank you!"
Vera sincerely apologized. In fact, she had a rather good impression of Sally.
A girl willing to personally deliver an invitation is indeed quite rare.
"I didn’t personally deliver the invitation, hope you don’t mind."
"Not at all!" Sally chuckled, extended her arm, and held onto Nathan Leafcastle’s arm. "I won’t disturb you two anymore. I’ll take Nathan to meet a friend."
"Alright."
Vera responded with a smile.
Sally then took Nathan Leafcastle away, heading towards Liliana Davis and introduced him to a real estate mogul from Vanora.
Kris Cooper took Vera over to Kenton Maverick and the others, and upon seeing familiar faces, Vera immediately greeted them with a smile.
"Thanks everyone for coming to support us."
"Among friends, no need for formalities," Kris Cooper said.
"Who’s friends with you?" Barry Gust rolled his eyes at him. "We’re all here for Vera, not you! Right, Andre, Kenton?"
"Of course."
Andre Colin and Kenton Maverick said simultaneously.
"Then you all can leave now, no need to see you off!" Kris Cooper spoke with a hint of laughter in his eyes.
He and Kenton Maverick have been friends since childhood, and through him, he got to know Andre Colin and Barry Gust and others. Their friendship has lasted over ten years, so joking around has become second nature.
Vera chatted with them for a bit and then spoke with a smile, "You guys continue chatting, I’ll be back in a bit!"
"Where are you going?" Kris Cooper asked curiously.
"To the restroom!" She rolled her eyes at him and quietly replied, lifting her hand to pass her glass to him, "You guys go on with your chat, I’ll be back soon."
Kris Cooper initially planned to accompany her, but just as he placed the glass on a small bar table to the side, Tommy Taylor hurried over.
"Mr. President, there’s a gentleman at the entrance claiming to be your friend but without an invitation. He also said to tell you that ’the prince has arrived’ and asks you to meet him in person."
Upon hearing this, the group of men all broke into smiles.
Barry Gust was the first to laugh and spoke, "What a rare occasion, this gentleman actually decided to make an appearance?"
"What are we waiting for? Let’s go welcome him!" Andre Colin also rose with a smile.
The group of men stood up together and walked toward the entrance.
From afar, they saw a figure half-leaning against the railing, wearing a pale white bamboo cotton T-shirt, with slightly worn five-point denim shorts below, and a pair of slip-on flat cloth shoes.
In the right hand leaning against the railing, he held an unlit cigarette.
From head to toe, simple, without a trace of lavish decoration, yet such a man stood before several well-dressed, distinguished-looking men without being outdone at all.
Kris Cooper was the first to speak, "It’s my engagement party, can’t you dress up a bit?"
The man leaning against the railing straightened up, his robust frame slightly taller than Kris Cooper.
His brown hair was a bit long, draping down and covering his forehead, yet his eyes behind the strands were bright and star-like, gleaming with amusement.
The light above dyed his brown hair a brilliant gold, amidst the slightly tangled strands was a jade-like radiant face, seemingly less exposed to the sun, appearing paler than the others. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
