I Am Tired Of Being A Hero-Chapter 292: Battling Zero Part 2
"I was only fourteen when I received the Qiahan Legacy. I was so delighted, but who knew that the gates of immortality would be so difficult." Zero sighed, holding the golden card lightly in his hand.
"You want to kill me? Ravi West, you are not qualified?" His eyes glittered coldly and he lifted his right hand and performed an incantation gesture. The golden card in his hand glowed.
Suddenly a massive blood-colored palm appeared above Ravi. The bloody palm grew larger and larger and Ravi instantly defended against it.
A boom filled the air and Ravi’s hand trembled. The moment the light word met the bloody palm, Ravi redirected the energy of the palm.
He could not easily control it and so he did not try.
Boom!
A deep pit was smashed open in the ground.
Boom!
Boom!
The ocean boiled as Ravi redirected the energy of the palm.
Zero’s expression changed, blood sprayed from his mouth and he staggered backeard. A fierce expression washed over his face and he waved his hand.
The palm vanished and the golden card in his hand condensed into an expanse of dazzling light and formed large beasts as it changed towards Ravi.
Ravi casually raised his sword and the two of them collided and then exploded.
Zero hastily drew a spell on the card in his hand as the energy charged at him. He swore as he hurriedly defended against him.
He had heard about it before. Ravi West, the number one Sentinel and one of the greatest energy manipulators in the universe.
If only he was not a Sentinel, immortals would murmur. He would have achieved legendary strides in the Path of the Dao.
He had heard about it but seeing it in person was something else.
They exchanged several moves, changing positions from defender to attacker easily.
A black blur shot out from his finger. As it flew it transformed into a rotating red flower with five petals. Each petal had a sinister face as it mourned, shooting toward Ravi.
Ravi waved his sword, the atmosphere rippled and a shield appeared. The petal dust passed through the shield and Ravi vanished. He was directly in front of Zero.
A sword light flashed and the image of Zero flickered before vanishing.
Ravi’s lips twitched, his eyes brightening. Ascended immortals were weaker than pure immortals but they were more interesting to fight.
They came from different planets and were extremely well-traveled. Their experience allowed them to have more diverse techniques, they did not just focus on the Dao, from poisons to illusions. Ascended immortals covered it all.
If one was not careful, they might die and not be able to guess now.
Zero’s face was pale as he appeared some kilometers away. The golden card appeared in his hand and he drew another incantation on it.
Zero’s eyes went wide and he began to pant as he stared at Ravi. He still needed ten minutes.
The immortal that had given him the mission had also given him a failsafe if he could not complete the mission. The gem should allow him to hide for at least fifty years.
He had planned to sell the gem for 50,000 points, he had not envisioned the scenario where he would use it.
He never envisioned a scenario with Ravi West.
He had calculated all possibilities. The only thing that he had not calculated was... Ravi West.
His eyes went wide and he began to pant as he stared at Ravi West. At this moment, Ravi West’s figure could be seen reflected in his eyes, as it was burned deeply into his heart.’
A demonic arrow shooting directly towards him. Unstoppable.
Ten minutes.
Zero took out all the items that he had ever saved.
Thousands of soldiers leaped from a card, carrying various weapons, swords, and spears as they surrounded Ravi.
Ravi’s eyes were cold, as atomic energy billowed out of him, transforming into an enormous vortex with him in the middle. It rippled and the soldiers shattered.
The Ten Thousand Warriors Talisman did not obstruct him for even three minutes.
Those golden hazel eyes were deep, still, waters filled with coldness.
Zero clapped twice and wrist, drawing blood as he drew on another blank card.
The card vanished and appeared in front of Ravi as it detonated. A large boom filled the air, shaking the very atmosphere of Earth. Ravi’s expression did not change in the least as the power of the detonation swept towards him.
River moved, as an extension of his mind as Ravi seized the control of the atoms. They were vibrating faster than sound, the pressure waves annihilating the very air.
He froze the nuclear chain reaction, the energy in the heart of the explosion quickly condensed into a dense shimmering sphere before him.
Like a piece of sun trapped in glass. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
The shockwave halted mid-blast, curling backward as he unwound the energy, redirecting it into the ocean.
One by one, Ravi breezed through the obstacles as Zero’s hand clenched around the gem.
One more minute. His hand held the gem so tightly as he looked at Ravi who was moving faster towards him as he continued to move backward.
He swallowed. He had been in many life-and-death battles and survived but now, he felt it ever so strongly, The incredible pressure and feeling of imminent death.
His left hand quickly wrote down an incantation on a talisman. The talisman caused the air to distort and turn into ripples that spread out in all directions. Those ripples caused several images of him to appear in front of Ravi. It was almost impossible to tell the difference between any of them.
Ravi’s eyes turned pure golden and his gaze fell on the accurate Zero. Zero bit his mouth, drawing blood, and a white glow emanated out from him, transforming into a protective shield that surrounded him.
Five seconds.
Ravi snorted coldly and his blade moved, a loud sound filled the air as the white shield collapsed into fragments. Some of the pieces shot backward, slashing across Zero’s body, leaving behind bloody cuts.
Ravi suddenly felt an intense feeling of danger and he vanished, appearing several meters away.
One Second.
Boom.
