I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means-Chapter 1571 - 873: Players Taken Away by Dark Elves_2
[Beast, Let Go of That Monster]and [Shen Shidandan]were in such a situation, taken back to the camp by the dark elves.
After realizing this situation, their first thought was ’what goes around comes around, today it’s my turn!’
Finally, it was their turn to trigger a hidden plotline!
So they immediately expressed that they had long admired Spider Queen Rose and their allegiance was evident!
The Church of the Gods had always been cutting their pay and sending them to their deaths!
All of this had long left many undead dissatisfied!
They had long wanted to align with the dark elves.
Upon noticing this situation, the dark elves were also somewhat surprised.
They hadn’t expected to win over these undead so easily, even before offering the benefits prepared for them.
However, they did not directly trust Beast and Dan.
After all, who knew if they were pretending to surrender, secretly preparing to leak information.
Of course, they also knew the characteristics of the undead.
So after leaving restrictions on them, they didn’t rush them to the front lines, but had them record what they knew about the Church Alliance Army’s intelligence.
For this, the dark elves even specifically provided Beast with some valuable intelligence targets.
Among them, the intelligence related to Lis was in the most important part.
...
The two walked out of the deep, dim cave.
Outside the cave, damp moss like a green carpet glistened with a strange luster under the faint light.
Around them, several dark elves and humans scrutinized Beast and Dan with their eyes, but they did not approach.
Beast and Dan didn’t delay or wander, and directly headed to a small rock house not far away.
Upon pushing the door open, a scent of decay mixed with a faint musty smell hit them.
Inside the room, the light was dim, with only one Magic Crystal Lamp emitting a faint glow.
Under this dim light, a dark elf girl sat at the table. Her figure was slender and agile, her skin dark and deep, and her eyes flickered with a ghostly green light.
At that moment, she was carefully applying a special liquid to the blade of a dagger that gleamed coldly, her focused look as if she were crafting a rare treasure.
Upon hearing the door open, the dark elf’s hand trembled, almost splattering poison onto herself.
She swiftly and alertly put away the small bottle of poison on the table, moving as nimbly as a startled leopard.
Then, she slowly stood up, fixing her sharp gaze on the two who just entered, her eyes showing some confusion:
"Why have you come at this time?"
Though quite angry inside, she still asked patiently.
...
"Are you saying you know the whereabouts of that Lis Kain?"
The dark elf captain Priscilla looked at the two [Beast, Let Go of That Monster] and [Shen Shidandan] in front of her, asking with some skepticism.
After receiving a mission from the Lady, Priscilla had brought back several undead from the dungeon with her team.
The beast and Dan in front of her were the ones she had brought back.
At the time, both were very cooperative, but Priscilla had always kept an eye on them.
As soon as she noticed anything amiss, she’d immediately take action to kill them.
But that day, the two had stayed quietly in the cave assigned to them, looking quite honest.
Priscilla gradually felt she might not need to be so tense.
However, she hadn’t expected these two to bring her such a "surprise" at this time.
Of course, Priscilla knew the importance of Lis Kain.
He was a key target Spider Queen Rose wanted to hunt, seemingly causing significant losses to the dark elves.
It was said that an Elf Legend had already perished at his hands.
Intelligence related to Lis would naturally be valuable, a considerable achievement no doubt.
However, such a Legendary Strongman, could these two silver-level undead really have intelligence about him?
Priscilla’s first reaction was disbelief, but she couldn’t help thinking, if it were true, it’d be a missed opportunity.
"Of course, that’s something we heard some time back, it just didn’t come to mind before."
Beast said calmly:
"This happened within the past two days, but not in Carl Dungeon, rather in Ruiz Underground City."
"I only heard about it before, but Ruiz Underground City was really far, so I didn’t pay attention."
"It just came to mind today, so I came over to find you?"
Upon saying this, Beast smiled, rubbing his hands together, and said:
"Captain Priscilla, I remember the reward for intelligence related to Lis is pretty hefty, right?"
Looking at the two, Priscilla waved her hand and said:
"Once we confirm, you’ll get the reward you deserve."
"You two, head back for now?"
"Alright."
Seeing their purpose met, Beast and Dan turned and left.
Once back at their cave, Dan whispered:
"Are we just going to wait, without doing anything else?"
"There isn’t much we can do."
Beast shrugged and said:
"Isn’t that how hidden plotlines are? The waiting makes me impatient, but we can’t rush."
"If I didn’t know where we were, I’d have posted on the player’s forum already, asking someone to come and raid these dark elf households."
"Should we post about this situation on the forum, see if anybody else got captured too?"
Dan pondered for a moment and asked.
"Might as well."
Beast nodded, agreeing it was a good idea.
There’s no other player in their area, but given their prior understanding, these dark elves certainly hadn’t only captured them.
Having more helpers would be good, making it more assured when overthrowing them later.
...
The camp was surrounded by a tall, sharp black barricade. The barricade intertwined with thorny vines emitting a rotten stench, akin to Death’s tentacles, poised to devour intruders at any moment.
At the center of the camp, a Holy Temple stood solemnly.
It radiated an eerie and seductive dark purple glow, the light flowing through the air like it possessed life, seemingly whispering secrets unknown to the world.
The appearance of the Holy Temple was peculiar and bizarre, with its spired dome reaching for the heavens, seeming to pierce the ceiling of the dungeon above.
The temple walls were built of massive black stones, surfaces covered in twisted patterns, like countless tormented souls struggling within.
The temple’s large door remained shut, with sinister demon engravings; its menacing appearance as if the demon would leap down at any approach.
At this moment, a group of dark elves busily moved between the camp and the temple.
Their figures were tall and agile, clad in tight black leather armor, embedded with sharp bone spikes that exuded a fierce chill in the dark purple glow.
They carried various flesh and blood in their hands, some freshly deceased magic beasts still bleeding, staining the ground red, while others were human limbs, incomplete and emitting nauseating smells.
The dark elves carefully transported them as though they were precious treasures.
Priscilla wore a tight black robe, embroidered with dark silver threads sketching hidden patterns.
Walking lightly yet determinedly, she slowly proceeded towards the temple’s depths.
Each step echoed upon the cold stone slabs, producing crisp and ethereal sounds resonating within the silent temple.
Finally, she reached the enormous throne within the temple.
The throne, crafted from obsidian, exuded a cold, awe-inspiring presence, adorned with countless gems shimmering like stars within darkness.
Seated upon the throne was the Dark Elf Queen, her figure graceful yet imposing, her cascading black hair glimmering, her eyes shining with a deep green light, like a profound icy pond.
Priscilla slowly knelt, crossing her hands over her chest, slightly lowering her head, and respectfully said:
"Honorable Mother Casimo, I have just acquired important information from the undead brought back."
