Chapter 23 - The Universe
Siman narrowed his eyes as he stared at the golden-haired man in front of him. The atmosphere around them buzzed with intense tension—so dense it felt almost tangible. A strange mix of disbelief and caution filled his mind. The man before him was undeniably powerful, but the arrogance and confidence that radiated from his very core were what made Siman wary.
The golden-haired man moved slowly, each step calculated. A mocking smile played on the corner of his lips, as if he found the situation amusing and far beneath his capabilities. Siman was ready for a confrontation... though a sharp edge of uncertainty lingered in his mind.
"I could kill you right now," Siman said in a low, calm voice, though his words carried an unmistakable threat. "So, you'd better choose your words carefully."
The golden-haired man let out a sharp, sarcastic laugh, as if Siman's warning was nothing more than a passing joke.
"Kill me?" the man shook his head, and his smile twisted into something darker. "Hahaha, alright then. Let me tell you who I am. I'm Shi Yang, the strongest in the Feng Shi World."
He stepped forward, confidence pouring off of him like a tangible force.
"Hmm, I'm the young master, the ruler of the Feng Shi World."
Siman took a step back, his mind racing.
"Oh, the young master? The strongest in Feng Shi World?" His voice carried a mix of admiration and disbelief.
"The World of Refinement and the fifth-ranked among the sub-worlds? Hmm, why didn't you say so from the start?" Then he paused, his voice darkening, a shift signaling a change in his thoughts.
"Now, I can't kill you. But I can torture you."
Shi Yang's lips curled into a smile, amusement filling his expression. He flipped his golden hair dramatically, as if brushing off the threat with ease.
"Man, you really made me laugh! How about a duel right now?" he gestured grandly, his challenge hanging in the air like a promise of chaos.
Siman raised an eyebrow, his eyes narrowing. A duel? Did this man truly not grasp the situation he was in? Arrogance was one thing, but this...
"A duel?" Siman said, disbelief lacing his tone. "Do you know who I am?" He stepped forward.
"I am Siman, the Lord of Chaos in the Tian World, which ranks fourth among the sub-worlds."
Shi Yang's smile faltered for a moment but quickly returned, accompanied by a bored sigh.
"Hmm, I know who you are." His gaze met Siman's with a mixture of contempt and amusement.
"But we can find out who's stronger right now, before the Sub-World Ranking Tournament in two months."
Siman stood still for a moment, considering the offer. His heart pounded, the pressure building, the heat of the moment coursing through his veins.
A duel...
His mind, always strategic, shifted quickly. A duel with Shi Yang might be interesting.
"Good idea," Siman said after a moment, his voice steady. He met Shi Yang's eyes with a cold gaze.
"But do you realize what you've just done?"
Shi Yang raised an eyebrow, a flicker of curiosity crossing his face.

"What did I do?" he asked, as if the answer meant nothing to him.
Siman turned his gaze, eyes narrowing as he looked to the side, focusing on the young man lying still on the ground. The one who was once just a shadow, weak and seemingly worthless. But now... now things had changed.
"You just blasted the boy who will become the strongest in all the sub-worlds and main worlds of the galaxy," Siman said, his voice low and charged with a tension that made the air hum.
Shi Yang's expression shifted for a brief moment. His eyes scanned the unmoving body of the boy, then his lips curved into a mocking smile.
He... the strongest?
He let out a short laugh and shook his head, as if Siman's words were a joke.
"That skinny boy from Rank C? Hmm... I've seen his abilities, and I agree with you he'll become strong with that system. He has the potential to build and grow an army of followers, but I don't believe he can become the strongest in the realms. Maybe he'll surpass you, but he won't surpass me."
Siman's eyes flared with rage.
This man truly understood nothing.
He resisted the urge to attack, to make Shi Yang see the truth but he knew that in this moment, words meant nothing. Actions would speak louder than anything.
But then, something unexpected happened.
Shi Yang's tone shifted to one of caution, almost hesitation.
"I can heal him too," he said, his voice carrying a hint of concession. "And I'll give him a treasure from my world. I want to become his ally."
Siman stared at Shi Yang, surprise gleaming in his eyes. The tension that had been building between them suddenly felt like time had stopped as if the world itself paused to listen.
Allies?
Siman thought.
Is this man offering help?
He let out a bitter laugh, the sound dripping with scorn.
"Haha, so you're also afraid of the System Master's reaction, aren't you?" His voice was thick with sarcasm, as if the idea of Shi Yang being anything less than a threat was absurd.
Shi Yang, for his part, simply gave a calm smile, almost indifferent.
"You're right," he admitted, his voice devoid of the mockery that had previously colored it. There was no more pretense, no more games. The raw truth hung in the air, unspoken but understood.
The tension between them reached its peak. Siman felt the rising tide of power, a force threatening to tear the fabric of reality itself. His muscles tightened, his heart pounding fiercely in his chest. He wasn't sure if he was excited to fight or to see just how far Shi Yang would go before finally breaking.
