You should be grateful

After taking a hot bath and finishing one other task, Violet was drinking the tea gracefully and eating the refreshments prepared for her.

(Geez, I can’t believe she took a long time to make a cup of tea.)

As Violet ordered Maria to prepare refreshments, she ordered a nearby handmaiden to prepare tea for her.

When she did that, the handmaiden frowned uncomfortably, and served a mess that looked like muddy water with a nasty smile.

Of course, after she(*Violet) poured that mess in her face, she(*Violet) politely and persistently reminded her of the altitude she should take towards her master, so said person and the people around would have remembered their position.

However, Violet thought it was outrageous that she has to teach even the servants their own place.

She had originally expected it, but Sophia Alcott had been living in a more miserable situation than she expected.

(Judging from the reactions around, it seems that she was a little girl who never complained.)

Violet wonder what Sophia Alcott is doing in her body around that time.

Unlike Violet who is at the top among aristocrats, she probably would not complain about the shabby life offered in that tower.

She(*Violet) wonder what kind of face that man would have when he sees that.

(Fufu. That stubborn guy would never accept that we really switched bodies.)

Surely, he is troubled, confused, and being on guard in that tower right now.

Violet is thrilled just thinking about when she reveals the truth. She truly loves the moment she can render people she hate speechless.

While she is thinking about that, she hears a lot of noise as Isabella and her daughter, Julia come back after going out.

Violet smiled gracefully to welcome them.

(—Well, that’s that. You should be grateful, Sophia Alcott.)

(Although it’s while I fulfill my own aim, I’ll change your life from a stray dog to at least a domesticated one.)

“What are you doing on your own accord!?”

Isabella, her blue eyes blazing with anger, shouted at Sophia—Violet as soon as she opened the door.

As she gazed at the look filled with anger, Julia exclaimed with a bright red face, “Hey, that’s my special dress! Why are you wearing it without permission!?”

“Ahh~ So this was your dress.” (*Violet used omae. Omae is an informal and impolite second person pronoun.”

“You…!?”

Isabella and Julia was at a loss for words at Sophia’s completely different appearance from usual.

Violet tug lightly at the lace around her chest. She don’t like this dress at all for it’s childish pale peach colored design. This was the only dress with a decent texture so she had no choice but to put this on.

“I didn’t have a single dress after all. I’ll be borrowing this until the dress-maker comes.”

At Violet’s words, they shout annoyingly.

“This thief! You’ve got such a bad habit, you shameless Alcott!”

“No dress-maker would ever come for you! Have you lost your mind after making all these eerie and strange medicines? This house is no place for you to do as you like.”

She is so fed up by their remarks that a smile come to her face without knowing. Violet knew that the jewel Julia is wearing on her finger right now, is a venerable object given by the head of Arbuthnot family to his daughter.

But Violet nodded and said, “That’s right.”

“I am the shameless member of Alcott family. I hurl curses at the step mother and her daughter— is it like that?”

As Violet smiled, Isabella who is trembling with anger said, “Watch your own mouth!”. Violet ignores her and continues furthermore.

“Ah, and then I spend extravagantly to the point of nearly making the earl family bankrupt, read books on poison or something, and make suspicious medicine—fufu. Those are the rumors you guys are spreading shamelessly, isn’t it?”

When she narrowed her eyes and smiled, their expressions twitched with surprise, anger, and a hint of fright.

“Be happy. I’ll make the rumors you guys spread tirelessly a reality as you wish.”

“S-Sophia! Have you really lost your mind!? Cut it out, and go back to your room! George, take this girl back to her room.”

At the agitated madam’s words, George, the butler who had been waiting in a corner of the room, closed his eyes with sweat beading on his temples.

His legs, which would normally always move instantly, do not move even an inch.

“What are you doing! Move quickly—”

“George. Take the step mother and her daughter to their new room as soon as possible.”

“…yes, Sophia sama.”

As George bow deeply and say those words, Isabella and Julia call George’s name in a high screeching manner.

“George, what in the world are you doing! I am the mistress, am I not!?”

” ^—God said, thou shall not commit adultery. Thou shall not tell lies.^ ”

Reciting god’s teaching in a singing tone, Violet rises from her chair, and walks gracefully to Isabella and Julia.

Violet made the butler there listen earlier.

This is how you should use these silly teachings.

“Do you know a way to persecute this little act of treachery as a great sin? If you don’t, I don’t mind teaching you plenty.”

Translator Notes:

Happy Christmas Eve! This Chapter, we got to see how mistreated Sophia is. I skipped some parts when I mtled this before so I didn’t know they were this infuriating. Isabella and Julia should just go to hell.

And good news~ I decided to daily update this series until new year. Can I even get out of my laziness and follow through these words, I don’t know myself. I will post two Chapters tomorrow and on new year. (P.s. I might make some mistakes here and there so please tell me if you spot one.)
