I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 512 Parents meeting (6)
"Dante," Sir Santo said easily, his smile widening just a fraction as their eyes met across the room.
The two men looked at each other for one long second. Something unspoken passed between them, quiet and heavy, like two ancient forces recognizing each other without needing words.
Then Sir Santo turned slightly, smiling at the room with that same pleasant expression.
"Please do not treat me as a priest here," he said pleasantly, his smooth voice carrying easily to every corner of the classroom. "I am only here today as Boo’s guardian."
He moved to look down at Boo fondly.
However, he stopped mid sentence. His smile stayed frozen on his face, but something shifted in his silver gold eyes.
Because Boo was not beside him anymore.
Sir Santo slowly turned his head to scan the room.
Across the room, Boo was floating near Felix and his mother, Aine. His eyes were sparkling like he had just discovered the meaning of life itself. His mouth had fallen open in pure wonder.
More specifically, he was staring at Aine’s nine huge, fluffy, golden tails that swayed slowly behind her like divine, glowing clouds of pure softness. Each tail moved with a life of its own, elegant and mesmerizing.
Boo drifted closer, completely hypnotized.
"Are they soft?" he whispered reverently, his voice carrying in the sudden silence.
Felix facepalmed instantly, his hand connecting with his forehead with a loud smack. "Please do not touch my mother’s tails," he said desperately, already knowing this was not going to end well.
Aine blinked in surprise, then burst into delighted laughter that rang through the room like little bells. She was clearly not offended at all, her golden eyes crinkling with amusement.
"Oh my, what an honest little ghost," she said, clearly entertained, one of her magnificent tails flicking lazily through the air like a golden invitation.
Boo’s eyes grew even wider.
Sir Santo closed his eyes briefly, drawing a slow and patient breath.
Dante pressed his fingers slowly against the bridge of his nose, as if trying to ward off an approaching headache.
Vlad Jr. adjusted his tiny cuffs and stared at the ceiling, pretending absolutely none of this was happening with the dignity of a small vampire who had seen too much.
Luna whispered to Drake behind her hand, "If he gets eaten, do we still have to finish the parents meeting?"
Drake whispered back with absolute certainty, "I think the fox lady only eats rude people. Ghosts might be too spicy for her."
Meanwhile, Sir Santo exhaled slowly and deliberately, composing himself with visible effort.
Then he opened his eyes. "Boo," he said calmly.
"Yes?" Boo turned instantly, still hovering dangerously close to those magnificent golden tails.
"Come. Here."
The tone was gentle. It was soft. It carried absolutely no anger whatsoever.
And yet it also carried a terrifying authority that made several babies in the room sit up a little straighter without meaning to.
Boo zipped back immediately, moving so fast his sparkly shirt left a trail of glitter in the air behind him.
"Yes, sponsor," he said, suddenly becoming the most well behaved ghost in the entire supernatural world. His hands folded in front of him. His tail stopped swishing. He looked like a perfect little gentleman.
Sir Santo turned back to the room, smiling politely again like nothing had happened at all.
"I apologize," he said pleasantly, his voice smooth as honey. "He is very curious."
"Alright, please take your seats. We can start the meeting now," Alina said, her voice warm and steady even though her heart was still beating a little too fast inside her chest. She could feel it drumming against her ribs, a small nervous rhythm that she hoped no one else could hear. She gave a gentle and reassuring smile as she waited for everyone to settle, watching parents adjust chairs and pull their children closer. The room slowly shifted from quiet chatter to attentive silence.
Once the room grew quiet, she folded her hands lightly in front of her, grounding herself for a moment before speaking again. She took a small breath and let it out slowly.
"First of all, thank you for coming here today," she said sincerely, her gaze moving slowly across every family, making sure no one felt unseen or overlooked. She looked at Queen Serafina, at King Boulder, at Alpha Ryker, at Lady Isadora, at Aine with her magnificent tails, and even at Sir Santo, who watched her with those unreadable silver gold eyes. "I know all of you are very busy. Many of you carry responsibilities not only for your families, but for your clans, your kingdoms, your territories, or even entire societies. So the fact that you are here, personally, for your children, shows something very important."
Her smile softened, becoming more genuine and warm.
"It shows how much you love them. And how much you care about their growth, not just as powerful beings with important legacies to uphold, but as individuals. As little people who are still learning what kind of adults they want to become."
Some parents shifted slightly in their seats, listening more carefully now. A few exchanged glances with each other. Alpha Ryker’s intense expression softened just a fraction. Lady Isadora’s eyes held a new warmth.
She glanced once, unconsciously, toward where Dante sat near the back, his dark eyes watching her with that unreadable intensity he always carried. She quickly returned her focus to the group, willing herself not to blush.
"Today, after this introduction, I will meet with each of you one by one. I will show you their academic progress, my observations about their behavior and social development, and what we plan to focus on during the next term. I want you to know exactly how your child is doing, not just in their studies, but in everything that matters."
She clasped her hands lightly again, fingers intertwined.
"And if you have any questions at all, please ask them freely. There is no wrong question when it comes to your child. Whether you want to know about their friendships, their struggles, their little victories, or even just what they talk about during lunch time, I am here to tell you. These children are precious to me, and I want nothing more than to see them thrive."
Then she gave one final, soft smile that reached her eyes.
"Thank you again for being here. For trusting me with them. It means more than I can properly say."
