I Become a Landlady in the Game World-Chapter 301 - 182: The Unconventional Village Chief, The Unconventional Territory
Chapter 301: Chapter 182: The Unconventional Village Chief, The Unconventional Territory
The Doomsday Game descended on day 54.
Zhou Bai woke up early once again, feeling that her daily routine had solidified into a fixed biological clock.
But today was different from the usual, as she saw numerous green dots appear outside the territory range.
While observing these green dots, Zhou Bai’s first reaction was, could there be more people coming? But upon closer inspection and seeing these green dots relentlessly pursuing the red dots representing Demon Beasts, she already had her answer.
The corners of her mouth slightly lifted, a single exam had everyone so motivated, she really didn’t mind holding a few more.
Then she got up, tiptoeing down the stairs.
Indeed, they had moved out of the cramped Level 1 House.
Now, the Level 3 Residence was spacious, and specially designed by architects with sensible planning.
They had made two rooms on the second floor, one on the left and one on the right, without interfering with each other.
After washing up, Zhou Bai stepped out the door.
But as soon as she opened the door and saw the scene outside, she was somewhat stunned.
Because unlike the usual pitch darkness, the entire territory, although not brightly lit, was clearly visible.
Someone had illuminated the territory before her.
Once night fell over the territory, soldiers would go out and light all the territory’s torches until they burnt out, to be replaced with new ones the next day.
Thinking of the scene she had just seen on the map, Zhou Bai immediately understood.
They were really going all out!
As Zhou Bai thought this, she heard noises coming from some of the houses nearby.
From the row of houses behind her, a small team of about a dozen people came out, each one full of energy.
When they saw the lights outside, they too were stunned for a moment, then discussed among themselves after regaining their composure.
"I heard from other teams yesterday, that they planned to rise early today to hunt Demon Beasts outside; didn’t expect them to be up so early."
"There must be more than one or two of them."
"We need to hurry too."
"Indeed, every second counts."
"Ah, Village Chief."
While they were discussing, they suddenly caught sight of Zhou Bai’s figure and immediately straightened up, all becoming somewhat deferential.
In fact, disregarding her appearance, Zhou Bai could tell the difference from the way they treated her.
At least, the residents of Blue Star behaved more at ease around her.
"Are you preparing to head out?"
"Yes, we want to work hard these next couple of days to see if we can make it in time for registration," someone answered, their expression slightly stiff.
"Then good luck." Zhou Bai said, offering encouragement.
"Yes, we will do our best! And we hope to contribute to Hope Village in the future."
"I’ll be waiting." Zhou Bai smiled, "I won’t disturb you any longer, go ahead with your business!"
"Alright." They promptly agreed, and the group quickly left without asking why Zhou Bai was up so early.
After walking a distance away, they let out a long breath.
"The Village Chief of Hope Village is really kind, not like those other lords we’ve seen before."
"And though she looks weak, she’s actually a very powerful presence!"
"I really like it here in Hope Village, top to bottom."
"Me too."
They laughed together, slowly walking off into the distance.
As for Zhou Bai, once she could no longer see their figures, she looked around to make sure no one was present, before heading towards the Heroic Spirit Hall and the Beast God Temple.
Zhou Bai first visited the Heroic Spirit Hall, directly checking on the condition of two Undead npcs.
She had expected another mercenary or Swordsman, or perhaps an Archer, just like on any other day, but summoning the second npc gave Zhou Bai a pleasant surprise.

An Architect?
Zhou Bai was now even more certain of one thing: the Heroic Spirit Hall would provide talent as the territory needed it, or perhaps, after a regular period with common professions, some special talents that fit the territory’s requirements would appear.
If that was the case, it couldn’t be better.
She steadied herself and, without hesitation, chose "Yes" in response to the prompt asking if she wanted to summon.
After making her choice, this Architect named Tures had already appeared before Zhou Bai.
