I Become the Strongest with Infinite Skills Level-Chapter 303: Insane Solution in the Tent
The woman introduced herself as Yuna, the Vice Leader of Sacred Hall. Ethan did not need to explain who he was. Yuna already knew him.
"You may leave," Yuna requested, speaking from inside the tent.
"But... what about your life, Vice Leader?" one of Yuna’s team members asked.
"Ethan will not kill me. I believe that."
Hearing those words, all of Yuna’s team members turned and left the negotiation tent area. Laura noticed their movement and instinctively put LionArk’s forces on alert.
However, the order was withdrawn when she saw them heading back toward their city instead of attacking Lion City.
That alone was enough to leave Laura confused.
One of the unit commanders approached Laura. "Isn’t this the best time for us to attack them? Their team leader is unguarded."
Laura shook her head. There were still no signs of anything happening inside the tent, and she did not want to act recklessly.
"We stay here, remain on alert, and continue monitoring the situation."
"All right."
Inside the tent, Ethan was impressed by Yuna’s courage. He was not the kind of man who would take advantage of someone’s wise decision through cowardly actions.
Ethan believed that Yuna must have something important she wanted to discuss.
"I’ve visited the tropical region before. I have to admit, it’s the best region in this entire event," Ethan said.
"I always monitor the global chat forum. Many city team leaders are worried about your terrifying invasion," Yuna replied.
"Then why did you leave the tropical region?"
Yuna fell silent, leaning back against her wooden chair, occasionally letting out long sighs as if she were holding something in.
"The Blood River Ink Alliance is unstable."
"What do you mean?" Ethan asked. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"Arthur... he’s become short tempered, sensitive, and selfish. Xeno... he’s becoming more and more uncontrollable."
"What did—"
"Arthur failed to secure the desert region. That’s why," Yuna cut in.
Ethan narrowed his eyes, somewhat shocked by what he heard. If Arthur wanted the desert region, he should have brought it up earlier during the ceasefire agreement with Ethan.
Then why did Arthur give Ethan the freedom to choose?
Could it be... Arthur hesitated to bring it up because he knew my strength?
Ethan had never had any direct issues with Redemption Sword. Hearing about the fracture within their alliance relieved him, but he still needed to be cautious.
He could not immediately trust Yuna’s words. After all, she and Sacred Hall came from the central plains and were allied with the Redemption Sword.
"Your information could help me, but it could also lead me straight into your trap," Ethan said firmly.
"I’m speaking seriously. Sacred Hall is at odds with Arthur and Xeno. We left their alliance."
"How can I make you trust me?!" Yuna pressed, clearly cornered.
Ethan stared sharply into Yuna’s eyes with complete seriousness.
He gave a small smile, stood up from his seat, and stepped closer to Yuna’s chair. The beautiful white haired woman flinched, afraid that Ethan might do something to her.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Ethan asked.
Yuna swallowed hard, then nodded slowly while gripping her own hands.
Ethan smiled at her fearful reaction. He pointed forward, straight at Yuna’s face.
Not the core crystal. Not the city’s soldiers. Ethan wanted Yuna.
"I want you," Ethan said.
"You want to do that? Here?!" Yuna protested in shock.
"I already have a husband."
Ethan forcibly grabbed Yuna’s hand, making her gasp in shock.
"No."
"You will become my hostage!"
"You only need to follow my orders."
"That way, I can trust what you say!"
"You’re insane!" Yuna shouted.
"The Sacred Hall city is at risk of being attacked by Redemption Sword members. That’s the consequence of a guild leaving their alliance."
Ethan slowly released Yuna’s hand. Yuna stepped back, clutching her aching wrist.
"We can’t contact anyone outside the event. It’s useless," Ethan muttered.
"Don’t you remember?"
He turned back toward Yuna. "What?"
"The live projection. It appears in every guild. They can see their guild team’s activities inside the event."
Ethan gasped, nearly forgetting about it. He had been too focused on battles, cities, and soldiers that he overlooked the best way to communicate with the people at LionArk Headquarters.
That gave Ethan a brilliant idea. He grabbed Yuna’s hand again, startling her.
"You won’t be going home. I have the best solution," Ethan said.
"What? Let go of my hand!"
"You will be my hostage. I’ll release you once the event is over," Ethan replied.
"I’ll protect your city as well, but you must send your soldiers to me," Ethan added.
"Order your team members to stay inside the city. Appoint one person as an officer there. As for you, you’re coming with me to Lion City!"
Yuna clicked her tongue. "It’s hard to make you trust me."
"Of course it is," Ethan replied. "Your alliance destroyed Star Shield, forced Trident Sea into betrayal, and then sent spies into the desert region."
"Explain it. How am I supposed to trust you?!" Ethan demanded.
Yuna fell silent. She knew all of it. It was truly unfortunate that Ethan had lost those two guilds. The impact on him must have been enormous.
"What if I tried to kill you?" Yuna asked.
"No. You wouldn’t be able to."
"If you try to kill me, I’ll kill you first."
The white haired woman fell silent for a moment. She had heard that Ethan’s abilities were terrifying.
Recklessly attacking him would only shatter whatever trust she had built.
"You... you won’t rape me, right?" Yuna asked quietly.
"Of course not. I’m not a criminal. I already have a wife," Ethan replied.
Hearing that made Yuna feel relieved. Still, she had no idea what kind of solution Ethan could offer Sacred Hall in the central plains.
The discussion inside the tent ended. Ethan stepped outside, bringing Yuna with him. The two walked toward the front of Sacred Hall’s city.
Laura witnessed this and panicked, immediately placing all LionArk forces on full alert to rescue Ethan.
Arriving in front of Sacred Hall City’s eastern gate, Ethan spoke loudly so everyone, including the guild team members, could hear him.
"Listen up!"
"Yuna will become my hostage. She will stay in Lion City until the event ends!"
"What?!" several people shouted.
"Do you want to die, Ethan?!" they yelled again.
Ethan raised his left hand, signaling them to be silent. For some reason, they obeyed.
"LionArk will guarantee the safety of all your lives. However, all of your city’s soldiers must be handed over to us."
"No team member is allowed to leave the city. I will ensure that other cities in the Eastern Alliance do not attack you," Ethan said firmly.
"Vice Leader Yuna! Do you agree with this? What about the safety of our city in the central plains?!" a man asked.
Yuna fell silent, waiting for Ethan’s solution. She instinctively turned her head, staring seriously at Ethan’s face.
"As for that," Ethan said loudly, "the Sacred Hall city in the central plains will move to the eastern plains. LionArk will help facilitate your city’s relocation!"
Yuna was shocked, as were many others standing in front of Ethan. Moving a large city across continents in the game world was not as simple as transmigration.
It required an enormous amount of resources.
She did not know whether Ethan was speaking nonsense or not, but she could not even imagine the process of relocating an entire city between plains.
"That’s insane!"
