Chapter 319: War of The Eastern Lion

***

Two days later.

Lyodra shot forward at high speed the moment Ethan activated her. The servant had only one objective, to monitor the situation in the archipelago region.

Ethan returned to the canyon cliff, conducting reconnaissance by relying on one of his servants. Yuna followed Ethan wherever he went and even volunteered to help with tonight’s scouting.

It had been three hours since Lyodra departed after Ethan switched her mode to aggressive. However, there was still no sign of whether Lyodra would return anytime soon.

Yuna’s servant flew back to the canyon. Ethan noticed that the servant was completely unharmed.

Because Yuna insisted on helping, Ethan asked her to assign her servant to monitor the areas around the enemy cities.

He wanted to know whether any city defense magic runes were active or not.

Yuna opened her eyes, and her servant’s appearance changed from an adult male into a small chibi form.

All information obtained by Yuna’s servant was directly shared with her.

Yuna turned to look at Ethan. "There are no active magic runes. It seems they haven’t returned yet."

"That seems to be the case."

Yuna glanced forward. A red light streaked across the sky above the tropical region. She pointed ahead, recognizing what that red light was.

"That’s Lyodra."

Ethan turned his head and saw that Lyodra had returned. Unlike Yuna’s servant, Lyodra’s flame dress was visibly damaged, and her face showed signs of exhaustion.

"It looks like there was a fight," Ethan said. "You can rest now, Lyodra."

Lyodra nodded. A red glow appeared and transformed her body into a chibi form. Everything Lyodra had seen during her reconnaissance was clearly transmitted into Ethan’s mind.

Through Lyodra’s eyes, Ethan saw that his servant had defeated several enemy servants who attacked her. After overcoming them, Lyodra continued flying north.

Lyodra’s reconnaissance successfully reached the archipelago region. Ethan’s concern about a trap did not come true.

Arthur looked frustrated, while Xeno kept urging his soldiers to cross the islands to conquer other cities.

They clearly struggled to defeat the cities scattered across each island.

That alone proved that they were truly fighting each other, not staging some kind of deception.

Ethan’s eyes widened as he stared straight ahead, a broad smile spreading across his face.

Yuna noticed Ethan’s expression. It was rare for him to look like that in the current situation.

She guessed that Lyodra’s reconnaissance had revealed something favorable to him.

"They’re still fighting in the north. It seems Arthur and Xeno are overwhelmed by the cities of the archipelago," Ethan said.

"Really? That’s clearly good news for us."

"Then will we carry out the siege plan?" Yuna asked.

Ethan shook his head. He had already found the best way to respond to the current situation.

Perhaps, within the next few days, the war between the tropical region and the desert region would truly come to an end.

"We need to return to the alliance camp," Ethan said. Yuna nodded.

The two left the canyon cliff and returned to the camp riding their mount horses. Their arrival was spotted by the camp gate guards, and the gates were opened.

Ethan and Yuna entered the alliance camp. Their mount horses were deactivated, and the two walked together toward the large tent where Gerrard and the other unit commanders were gathered to formulate their war plans.

The tent flap was opened. Only Gerrard and several unit commanders were inside. They immediately stood up to welcome Ethan.

"Greetings, Sir Ethan."

"How did the reconnaissance go?" Gerrard asked.

Ethan stepped toward the map table, then turned to look at Gerrard with a serious expression. "Good. I have a plan to end this war once and for all."

"What? Can we win this war?"

Ethan nodded, clearly confident that his plan would not fail. All he needed was to gather all team members with the strongest servant abilities.

"Gather all unit commanders. I want to speak with them tonight!"

Seeing Ethan’s serious face, Gerrard felt a surge of excitement and immediately prepared to carry out the order.

While waiting for everyone to arrive, Ethan picked up a gray marker piece and placed it on the border between the tropical region and the northern region.

Some of the unit commanders understood its meaning. Others did not.

Before long, all unit commanders arrived at Gerrard’s tent. Ethan turned his head, watching them arrive one by one.

Once everyone was present, Ethan began explaining the details of his war plan.

"I will call this the War of the Eastern Lion!"

"We need soul servants!" Ethan declared.

"Soul servants?"

"Tell your city team leaders to send members who possess powerful soul servants. I want fire and wind element servants."

"Order them to come to the Alliance Army Camp. They will be integrated into the invasion force."

"Also order additional soldiers to support this large-scale invasion. LionArk will send twenty thousand soldiers. Each alliance city is required to send five thousand soldiers."

"Yes, Sir Ethan."

Ethan pointed at the map table, showing the markers of the alliance cities, all gathered south of the border between the tropical region and the archipelago region.

"All forces will march to this location. Once we arrive, we will release the soul servants to attack the enemy alliance forces."

"Sera from my soul servant will lead the first aerial invasion, striking the enemy head-on."

"Luna from my soul servant will guard this area with me and thousands of eastern alliance troops."

"We will blockade the enemy’s escape routes and trap them there."

Several unit commanders listened and understood their roles. They grew eager to fully participate in the upcoming battle, knowing that victory would bring tremendous benefits.

"The aerial invasion will not completely destroy the enemy forces. We will rely on our full strength here!" Ethan said firmly.

"Then what about the cities in the archipelago region?" Yuna asked.

"I will make sure they do not interfere in this matter. Our target is the Blood Ink River Alliance."

"Do you all understand?" Ethan asked.

Everyone nodded, fully grasping Ethan’s plan. He explained that the operation would be carried out the day after tomorrow.

Therefore, Ethan instructed them to prepare everything he requested tonight and tomorrow.

"If we win this war, this event will be claimed by the Eastern Alliance."

"All core crystals will be distributed equally. No one will receive special treatment." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"Does anyone object?" Ethan asked.

They looked around and shook their heads. It was a wise decision to distribute the core crystals evenly among all members of the eastern alliance.

"Then begin preparing for war!"
