I Can Program My Body?-Chapter 116: New Target
Chapter 116: New Target
"How are you? In pain?" a student asked, worried.
"I’m fine. Just a little pain," Marco said with a forced smile.
Though his arm was broken, it was nothing compared to the pain he had experienced during training.
"All right! Be alert! Don’t make the same mistake again!" Michael shouted, scolding them.
If a single white rabbit could injure them, what about stronger, dark beasts?
"We’re sorry, teacher!"
"Don’t apologize. Stay alert! This place is full of danger!"
Sure enough, while they were speaking, another white rabbit lunged at them.
Fortunately, having learned their lesson, they dodged in time and quickly killed the dark beast.
"Huh—this rabbit was stealthier than an assassin!"
"So this is the power of a dark beast..."
"This white rabbit is evil!"
"What should we do next, teacher?"
"Keep spreading out and hunt dark beast. I’ll watch from the side," Michael instructed.
"Yes, teacher!"
Watching them spread out to look for dark beasts, Michael nodded in satisfaction.
"It seems I don’t need to guide you," Nash said with a smile, seeing Michael take control so quickly.
"It’s thanks to your training, Chancellor Nash."
Although Michael didn’t have experience in the Dark Plane, the Dark Warrior Qualification Test had honed his body and instincts to the extreme.
Now, facing 1-star dark beasts, he could fight them with his eyes closed.
Seeing no problems, Nash began sharing with Michael some precautions and insights about the Dark Plane, drawn from his own experience.
From do’s and don’ts, strategies for earning more merits, weaknesses of different dark beasts, to shops, administration, weapons, loot drops, he covered everything he could think of.
---
Soon, as their time in the Dark Plane was about to end, the group returned to the Lantern Shelter.
"How was your experience?" Nash asked with a smile, noting the change in their eyes.
Though they were still a little green, there was already a trace of toughness and experience in their stance.
"This place is great, Chancellor. Fighting dark beasts while earning merits really speeds up our training!"
"With the Dark Plane, we’re more confident about the Cosmic Competition!"
"Yes, I feel like I can reach 100% saturation before the competition."
"Just 100%? No—I want your saturation rate to hit at least 150% before the Cosmic Competition."
"150%? Is that even possible?"
There were only about six months left before the competition. With how slowly they were earning merits, they didn’t think it could be done.
"Why not? You’re Earth’s top talent. If you can’t even manage that, you might as well give up now," Nash said, shaking his head.
"Please tell us what to do, Chancellor Nash!"
Not wanting to give up, they looked at him, eyes full of hope.
"It’s simple—fight until you bleed dry, train until you can’t move, and think until your mind goes blank."
"Uh—this..."
They thought he was about to give genuine advice. What was this? Wasn’t he just sending them to die?
"Haha! It’s exaggerated, but that’s all it takes. Fight, train, and think things through. I’m confident you’ll reach your goal if you do these three things."
"Yes, Chancellor Nash!"
Even though they weren’t sure about hitting 150% before the Cosmic Competition, they still nodded, determined not to disappoint his expectations.
"That’s good. How about this—I’ll set your new target. In the next three months, you have to reach 100% saturation. As for you, Michael, your goal is to reach 120% saturation."
"Three months to reach 100% saturation?"
Hearing their next target, the students couldn’t help but sigh.
From hitting 30% in one month to 100% in three, Nash’s expectations just kept getting tougher.
"You can do this. I believe in you!"
Based on the data he saw earlier, Nash had already confirmed that they only needed a tenth of the merits he had to raise their saturation rate.
Even Leo, the most talented among them, only needed a thirtieth.
He didn’t know why, but his body felt like a bottomless pit.
With the [Training Module System] he could perfectly control and absorb void energy provided by merits that there was almost no lost.
However, even then, void energy still disappeared, as if absorbed by something else.
He didn’t know if the runic space was stealing the energy or if it was simply due to his lack of talent.
Either way, they didn’t need nearly as much energy as he did.
They should be able to reach 100% saturation in three months.
Furthermore, Nash planned to supply them with Dark Potion once he could craft it in the real world.
With 16 to 20 hours in the Dark Plane every day, reaching 100% would be easy.
For now, though, he didn’t dare to give them the Dark Potions sent by Camilla.
He only had a little over 70 left, just enough to last him a bit over two months.
Unfortunately, Earth still lacked autonomy.
Otherwise, Nash could’ve just ordered more through the Virtual World using his funds.
As for buying Dark Potions in the Dark Plane and then materializing them, it was far too expensive.
Soon after their time was up, they logged off from the Dark Plane and returned to reality.
---
Meanwhile, having nothing to do, Nash went to the Iron Fall Shelter.
Renting the familiar training hall, he couldn’t wait to open his dark panel.
[Nash Navre
Rank: Void Warrior (130%+)
Merit: 2,420,305]
"I can finally increase my saturation rate!"
Initially, Nash tried increasing his saturation rate without being in a special training hall.
However, using thousands of merits at a time nearly caused the void energy in his body to wreak havoc.
The effect of the dark energy and the external environment seemed to multiply with the number of merits he used.
Not wanting to waste time using merits little by little, Nash had to put aside his training and accumulate more.
Anyway, his current saturation rate was more than enough to cope with the danger.
Now, taking a break, Nash didn’t waste the opportunity and planned to increase his saturation rate.
Tapping the dark panel, void energy surged through his body.
