I Can Program My Body?-Chapter 560: Blessing of Luck
"The Severance Knife? Is it in the dark plane?"
"Hmm."
"I see, this is easy. I’ll try to alter your luck. Can you give me one of the fragments?"
"Here."
Putting the Severance Knife into her hands, Elizabeth began to activate her ability.
Curious how it worked, Nash opened his runic eye to see if any change had happened to her and his runic composition.
However, aside from the warmth he felt, nothing seemed to change in his runic composition.
Even Elizabeth, aside from the usual changes from activating her genetic ability, showed no fundamental change.
"Luck is indeed beyond the elements..." Nash concluded in his mind.
Since he couldn’t see it, it meant it was beyond his ability.
"It’s done. How are you feeling?" Elizabeth asked, returning the Severance Knife to him.
"Huh? That’s it? Should I directly go to the dark plane?"
"Haha, silly, I merely increased your luck. As for whether you can obtain what you wanted, it’s still an uncertainty."
"Then what should I do?"
"You can go and try, I still need to go back to training~," Smiling, Elizabeth returned to her training chamber.
"This girl..." Leaving him alone, Nash began to ponder her words.
With the blessing of luck, should he be able to find a fragment of the Severance Knife just by walking?
Did it have a limitation? Duration? Or Range?
Should he go directly to a low-level secret realm or wait for the opening of a mid-level secret realm?
Unable to find any answer, Nash could only look at the coordinates of the secret realms he had uploaded earlier.
Opening the [Library Module System], as Nash began to browse through each secret realm, he suddenly felt something different.
"Hmm? What is this?"
Although vague, some coordinates gave him the feeling of attraction.
As if confirming his feeling, Nash unconsciously turned his eyes toward them.
"This should be it, the attraction of luck!"
Although Elizabeth told him that luck alone was not enough to guarantee he would get what he wanted, these different levels of attraction should symbolize his increasing chances of getting them.
"I found it!"
Among the Secret Realms that would open the latest, Nash found a coordinate that attracted him the most.
Returning to his quarters, Nash quickly dived into the Dark Plane.
---
A while later, after clearing a low-level secret realm, Nash was sent to a C-level treasure vault.
Looking around, he felt a throbbing sensation as if the treasure he was looking for was near.
Sure enough, after looking around, he saw a fragment of the Severance Sword embedded on the wall.
"Elizabeth’s ability seemed heaven-defying!" Nash thought in amazement.
He thought luck would just increase his chances, who knew it would directly grant him his wish.
Taking out the Severance Sword from the wall and paying the required points, he exited the treasure vault.
As for looking a little longer, the feeling that attracted him had already disappeared.
"Now to the next secret realm."
Seeing the second one would open a few days later, Nash returned to reality and began optimizing another module, the [Adaptive Module System].
---
A few days later, Nash finally found the last fragment of the Severance Sword he needed. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
However, during the process, a few complications arose.
The second secret realm he entered failed to produce a fragment of the Severance Sword.
During his investigation through the [Memory Module System], he learned that while he was clearing the secret realm, a tiny shift appeared.
After a little deduction, he learned that he should have lost a few rounds to bring down his clearance rate for a lower-level treasure vault.
This discovery allowed him to understand the true power of Elizabeth’s genetic ability.
As long as there was a vague feeling, no matter how small, as long as he followed the path where it changed and shifted, he could eventually reach his goal!
Usually, this feeling was so vague and unpredictable that it was undetectable even at Planetary Realms; however, through the slight shifting of his runic pattern, it was easily discoverable.
Now Nash just needed to master what runic pattern was assigned to each shift of luck.
Although Nash still hadn’t mastered his runic pattern, looking at specific points was not too difficult.
Sure enough, after a second test, as he entered the third secret realm, relying on the shifting nature of luck, he easily found another fragment of the Severance Sword!
Looking at the ten fragments laid before him, Nash quickly bound them with his power as they vibrated and merged.
"Let’s see what its new form would be..."
After all ten fragments merged, Nash found that its appearance had not changed fundamentally.
Besides more engravings of unknown symbols on the hilt and the blade, it was still the same as before.
Picking up the knife, Nash tried to swing it.
Slash~
"Hmm? It’s still at tier 5?"
As the Severance Knife already had the power to cut the elements, he didn’t find any improvement from unlocking the first seal, Elemental Severance.
"The requirements to upgrade it should at least have gone down, right?"
Feeling a little disappointed, Nash found a tier 5 dark beast wandering around and gave it a slash.
Slash~
As the dark beast’s essence turned into merits, some part of it flowed through the Severance Knife.
Feeling the flow of improvement the Severance Knife received, Nash began to calculate how much it would need to advance to a tier 6 weapon.
"Huh~ Good! Good!"
Based on his calculation, he only needed to kill about a million tier 5 dark beasts before it advances!
From a billion to a million, it was a thousand times the difference.
If Nash worked on it in full concentration, it should only take a month before the Severance Knife advanced to a tier 6 weapon.
However, thinking of the things he had to do, he quickly shelved it.
They only had about 3 months before they left for the cosmic competition.
He had more important things to do than to upgrade the Severance Knife.
Furthermore, dark beasts were available everywhere; the task should be easier to complete in the wild void area.
Returning to reality, Nash rested for a while before resuming the optimization of the [Adaptive Module System].
