I Can Program My Body?-Chapter 572: Sun Star Void
Locking onto every tier 6 and 7 dark beast in range, the Void Pulse’s secondary weapons opened fire.
Bursting with overwhelming force, even the sturdiest dark beasts were torn apart on contact.
Furthermore, each shot seemed to have a mind of its own, ricocheting to the next nearest target without a single wasted round.
"This—"
Witnessing the slaughter, everyone on the Void Pulse fell silent.
This was a personal battleship for heaven’s sake, how could it carry such devastating firepower?
"What do you think? Strong enough?" Nash chuckled.
"How is your battleship this powerful? Who modified it?" Blair asked, unable to hide his excitement.
Turning a personal battleship known for its speed into something this ferocious left everyone wondering just how skilled the mechanic behind it was.
"Lord Philo. A tier 9 Mechanic and tier 6 Scientist."
"Hiss— how did you get someone like that? Are you an illegitimate son of the Chronos Emperor?"
"It’s because of my potential..." Nash smiled, going on to explain what had happened when he advanced to tier 4 Scientist.
"An SSS scientific potential..."
The look in their eyes quickly shifted between disbelief and awe.
They hadn’t expected that beside them stood a legendary figure.
With potential like that, even if Nash did nothing but coast through the Cosmic Competition, his future was already secured.
The competition itself would almost be beneath him.
After all, SSS level scientific talent could be counted on one hand, while the Cosmic Competition came around every ten years.
Even with the unusual stakes riding on this edition, it still paled against what Nash’s future held.
"Hah, don’t look at me like that. I heard the Chronos Saint is also an SSS level scientific talent."
"What?! Are you serious?"
Just what kind of generation was this?
First Nash, then the Chronos Saint, what were the rest of them even doing here?
At this rate, they’d be lucky to make it as background characters.
"Sigh, I just hope you don’t forget us when you make it to the top." Blair gave up.
Even though he was a top talent by any measure within the Chronos Empire, standing next to a pair of prodigies like these made him feel ordinary.
"Don’t lose hope. The future is never certain."
Once Nash had grown stronger, perhaps he could mass-produce talent on par with the Chronos Saint.
Chatting along the way, time passed steadily.
With no need to worry about dark beasts, they flew straight without a single stop.
And with the Void Pulse gradually accelerating, their speed climbed to that of a tier 9 battleship.
Under Atom’s masterful control, every large obstacle was smoothly evaded without so much as grazing the hull.
Meanwhile, following his instinct and the steady readings from his runic pattern, Nash led the way forward.
---
A few days later, just when everyone had begun to wonder if they were flying aimlessly, a massive sun suddenly came into view, so bright that it stung their eyes.
"What kind of sun is this? Why is it so blinding?"
They had seen enormous stars capable of shining across multiple planetary systems, but never one that could blind them outright.
"No— this isn’t an ordinary star. It’s a Sun Star Void!"
"A Sun Star Void? Isn’t that the legendary star that emits endless void energy?"
"Oh my..."
Even the two tier 8 War Gods on board felt the shock hit them to their core.
A Sun Star Void, a legendary star capable of emitting a limitless amount of void energy.
It was said that just one Sun Star Void could power an entire Sector Territory indefinitely.
It might seem small compared to a whole Domain Territory, but the energy it radiated could build a foundation beyond anything most could imagine.
With endless void energy, every citizen, every plant, every planet beneath it could be blessed and set on the path of the extraordinary.
In the entire Xenus Junction, there were said to be fewer than ten such stars in existence.
"We hit the jackpot!" Nash smiled, having found exactly what he was looking for.
Although he followed what drew him most strongly, he wasn’t sure where it would lead him.
"What do we do now?"
"We scout the area."
Even with the Sun Star Void blinding them both physically and physiologically, it didn’t prevent them from seeing dark beasts swarming through the surrounding space.
It was common knowledge that dark beasts were drawn to energy like moths to flame.
So even without a full sweep, they knew that conquering this place would be far from easy.
But no one was deterred.
Having found the perfect base to anchor the Star Alliance, the danger of the path ahead didn’t matter.
Circling the Sun Star Void, they began marking each dark beast from tiers 6, 7, and 8, cataloging their positions with precision.
Mapping the surrounding area, they quickly noticed how teeming with life and resources it was.
"As expected of a Sun Star Void capable of giving birth to all kinds of life. Even if it was overrun by dark beasts, it was still able to radiate extraordinary beauty." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
All they needed to do was clear every dark beast, and they would be set for the entire Cosmic Competition.
Careful not to be discovered along the way, they flew slowly, extending their sweep further and further around the Sun Star Void.
After spending weeks making a detailed map of dark beast distribution, they finally turned back.
"Let’s return. I’m worried about the Star Alliance territory while we’re gone." Nash ordered, signaling Atom to head back.
Without the three tier 8 battleships and War Gods present, the Star Alliance’s territory was extremely vulnerable.
Even with the Chronos Emperor’s barrier in place, Nash still felt a faint unease he couldn’t shake.
Deciding to pause their exploration for now, the Void Pulse turned and accelerated back toward home.
---
A day later.
With a clear destination, the Void Pulse flew faster than before.
"We’re back."
"Holy— your personal battleship is that fast?!"
Covering that distance in under a day was nothing short of miraculous.
"Alright, enough chatter. It looks like the others are back too."
With Atom folding the Void Pulse back into armor form, everyone made their way to the Star Alliance Council Hall.
Filled with hope and anticipation, no one could quite contain their excitement as they prepared to report what they’d found.
