I Can Program My Body?-Chapter 599: Perfecting the Mortal Mode
Exiting the battle, Nash let out a smile.
Using the module system, he could suppress his strength to complement the Mortal Mode of the Combat Tower.
This might not have mattered in the past, as he was the only one who possessed the module system.
Now, however, almost everyone in the Sun Star Void Area possessed the runic system.
As long as he added another module, Nash could perfect this Mortal Mode, allowing everyone to fight realistically!
Being able to bridge the limitations of the virtual world through a module system made Nash think much more.
If he could do this for a combat tower, could he use it for other things?
From training to experiments to entertainment, Nash felt various ideas begin to flow into his mind.
Maybe he could even turn it into a server!
Instead of using his elemental core as one, they could directly connect as long as there was a virtual signal.
Of course, this would require the cooperation of the Virtual Administrator, which was an impossible thing at the moment.
For now, Nash could only think of perfecting the Mortal Mode of the Combat Tower so he could sharpen his combat mastery.
Maybe he could also embed a part of the [Combat Module System] to collect more data for himself.
With trillions of individuals fighting simultaneously every second, the data it could collect would be massive!
"Let’s test the Ranking Mode first." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Before acting on his thoughts, Nash decided to test the ranking mode.
Entering the fight, Nash saw that his opponent was a mere Tier 3 Void General.
Watching his opponent’s strength shoot up to Tier 5 Void Marshal, similar to him, his eyes lit up.
"Interesting."
Wanting to see how realistic it was, Nash didn’t end the fight too quickly.
---
A few minutes later, Nash ended the fight.
"It’s perfect, but a little lacking." Nash shook his head.
His opponent had all the elements of his arsenal at their disposal.
However, since his opponent was still a Tier 3 Void General at heart, his control over that power was a mess.
Winning so easily, the fight felt like a joke.
Fortunately, as he ranked up, the opponents he faced should grow stronger and stronger.
Talented individuals who could handle strength beyond their realm would also appear, and those were exactly who this mode was built to train.
That was the goal as to why they created a combat mode that used so much computational power, to sift through everyone and sharpen those who could adapt.
Nash also wanted to train everyone for the module system he might create in the future.
Unlike the [Overlimit Module System] that raised strength within the same realm, Nash planned to create a module that could instantly raise one’s realm!
Already familiar with how the power circuits of Tier 1 Void Warrior to Tier 4 Void Venerate worked, creating such a module should be doable.
Soon after fighting a few rounds to rank up, Nash returned to reality and got to work.
---
Two weeks later, after tweaking the [Combat Module System], Nash integrated it into the universal runic system.
On one of the planets in the Neon Star Cluster System, Zaiden quickly noticed the runic system was updating.

"There’s a new module!"
Unable to wait, Zaiden opened it.
[Combat Module:
Combat Detection (new)
Mortal Mode (new)]
"What do these two do?"
Tapping on Combat Detection, a stream of information quickly flowed into his mind.
"I see, so it’s like the analysis module, but for combat mastery!"
Instead of detecting physique, void capacity, soul strength, or elemental mastery, it would gauge his combat mastery directly.
That way, one could have a clearer, more intuitive picture of their level and progress.
[Combat Mastery:
Overall: No Data
Weapon: No Data
Spell: No Data
Physical Skill: No Data
Auxiliaries: No Data]
"So I need to fight a few battles first and gather data before it can gauge my combat mastery." Zaiden nodded in understanding.
Turning to the Mortal Mode, he learned it would activate automatically once he entered the Combat Tower.
"Finally, the Mortal Mode of the Combat Tower can actually be used!" Zaiden muttered in excitement.
Unlike most people staying at the Neon Star Cluster System, Zaiden was not a cosmic elite.
Despite training his entire life and giving up everything else, at age 352, he was still at Void Commander rank, worse than even an average person.
Zaiden estimated that without any special opportunities, he would stop here and die full of regret.
Fortunately, during the defense against the dark beast swarm, he had caught the attention of some leaders.
While he lacked talent for training, his growth in combat mastery was terrifying.
Starting as a mere Expert, just a few months of training sent his combat mastery shooting up to Grandmaster level!
(Novice, Expert, Master, Grandmaster, Legend, Mythic)
At his rate of growth, reaching Legendary combat mastery was only a matter of time.
That alone was already extraordinary.
Among all the trillions of cosmic elites, not even a hundred possessed Legendary combat mastery.
So if he could reach that level, Zaiden would be set for life.
No matter how poor his talent for training was, he could simply stuff himself with resources to advance.
Thinking of the Mortal Mode of the Combat Tower, Zaiden was filled with excitement.
Such a place was a natural training ground for combat mastery.
Unfortunately, after a few powerhouses directly broke through the mode’s limits, it was quickly phased out.
Now that it was finally fixed with the new runic system update, Zaiden couldn’t wait to try it.

Entering the Combat Tower, Zaiden quickly started a fight.

"Hmm? A new player?"
Not thinking much of his opponent, Zaiden charged forward the moment the countdown ended.
But as if his enemy had predicted his movement, the opponent dodged and drove a fist into his gut.
"This—"
Before he could react, a flurry of punches arrived at his face.
Trying his best to dodge, he tilted his head back.
Unfortunately, it was all in vain, as he lost without letting out a single whimper.
