Chapter 76: 076 Sweep_1

The opening ceremony ended at night, and the next morning dawned.

All the Secret Martial Arts factions arrived in a huge, empty warehouse. In the center of the warehouse, two circular platforms about half a meter above the ground stood, with a layer of black covering their edges.

Surrounding the platforms was a setup like in yesterday’s hall. Each faction had its designated area.

Blue uniformed staff stood waiting on the edges of the warehouse. On the left and right were teams of medical staff in white, with stretchers, bandages, and medical boxes at the ready.

The Wind Elephant Gate was positioned towards the front on the left, adjacent to the Black Crane Stream. Casio glanced around the entire warehouse, finding at least several hundred people there. Just the Wind Elephant Gate and other considerable factions combined amounted to more than a hundred people, making the space a bit noisy.

“Silence!”

Suddenly, an old man jumped onto the arena. His thin body gave off a tremendous roar. His voice reverberated throughout the warehouse, gradually quieting everyone.

“The North Flow Country Martial Arts Exchange Competition now officially begins!”

“As per the competition process and rules discussed yesterday, the leading disciples of each faction can now draw lots for the order.”

Without anyone noticing, a black box appeared in the old man’s hand.

There was an opening in the middle of the box that allowed one to reach in to draw a piece of cardboard.

Immediately, Heige stood up and walked over. A moment later, he came back holding a square yellow cardboard piece.

On it was a bold black number: 11.

Casio glanced towards another arena, where lots were also being drawn, but the representatives there were ordinary disciples.

Five minutes later, the old man climbed back onto the arena.

“Now the competition officially begins: number twelve and number seven!”

“Decarbox Boxing Technique versus Cold Light Martial Hall!”

Upon hearing this, Casio recalled the competition rules.

In this Exchange Competition, the core disciples and ordinary disciples of a school were separated, each fighting in their own arena.

For the core disciples, there were two competitions— a Points Race and Individual Competition. The Points Race was for teams of five people, formed by the core disciples of the Secret Martial Arts factions. The first person in order of appearance would challenge five people from another faction, continuing the challenge only if they won, until they defeated all five on the other side.

One point was awarded for each win, zero for a draw, and points were deducted for losses.

In the Individual Competition, lots were drawn again. However, participants would be divided into five groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the ten-person competition.

The rules were still rough as it was the first time the competition was being organized.

Casio lifted his head to watch the arena, where representatives from both factions had already taken the stage. Both contestants stated their affiliation, stared at each other under the referee’s command, and gradually began to move.

The standstill lasted half a minute before the black-haired man representing the Decarbox Boxing Technique suddenly attacked, moving with lightning speed using both fists and legs.

The representative of the Cold Light Martial Hall lost in an instant.

The bout only lasted six or seven seconds.

In reality, real fights are like this— exploit the flaws, attack decisively. They don’t need five or ten minutes of long drawn-out fighting. Unrestricted fights usually end very quickly.

Next, the black-haired man, as the winner, rested at one side of the arena. After a moment, another person from the Cold Light Martial Hall stepped up.

They announced their affiliations and names, then again began to position themselves cautiously, looking for an opportunity. Twenty seconds later, both of them lunged forward almost simultaneously, punches and kicks flying. Occasionally, some explosive techniques were included in their movements, which increased their speed.

After switching positions four or five times and several clashes, the black-haired man fell off the edge of the arena, taking a roll before he could stand back up.

He was forced out of the competition area, which meant he lost.

The Cold Light Martial Hall was victorious in this round.

There was another series of challenges. The whole process only took seven or eight minutes, and in the end, the victor was Decarbox Boxing Technique.

A moment later, the old man who was acting as referee went back onstage.

“Next up, number eleven and number eighteen!”

“Wind Elephant Gate versus Meditation Gym!”

Down below, Casio and Brother Heige exchanged a glance.

In the order, he was the first to appear from the Wind Elephant Gate.

“I’m going up.”

Casio stood up, pulling off his black coat and throwing it on his seat. He then took powerful strides as he moved towards the arena.

The platform was well-lit, with many windows opened on both sides of the warehouse, allowing the soft morning sunlight to shine in.

Casio stood quietly within one of the beams of light.

Even though he was expressionless and silent, his reputation from Wind Elephant Gate along with his towering height of 1.9 meters, had already made the competitor from the Meditation Gym extremely nervous. The man was continually adjusting his breathing while wiping the sweat from the palm of his hands.

“Meditation Gym, Quista.”

“Wind Elephant Gate, Li Wei.”

The moment the voice fell, Casio’s momentum flared like a blazing fire. As if he was a tranquil deep pond one second ago, a terrifying python suddenly broke through the surface the next.

An overwhelming oppressive power swirled around.

Quista was left breathless: “What a terrifying momentum…”

While he was absentminded, a huge figure appeared before him, like teleportation. The face was starkly cold and expressionless.

Quista responded in panic.

Boom! A muffled sound echoed from his left shoulder.

He stepped back frantically with eyes wide open. Incredibly, he retreated over ten meters, stumbled, and fell off the arena without ever touching Casio’s body.

And so, he lost in three seconds.

“Ouch…,” he groaned in pain, clutching his left shoulder.

“The gap is too wide, we can only use the tag-team strategy now…,” a robust youth from Meditation Gym commented ruefully.

Half a minute later, in the arena.

A beautiful girl made a fist salute: “Meditation Gym, Fara…”

“Wind Elephant Gate, Li Wei.”

The moment her voice fell, Casio blurred into a shadow. A black trail striking directly at the girl’s shoulder in mid-air.

“Bang!”

Like a heavy hammer hit, the girl named Fara was sent flying and ended up fainting after rolling a few times on the ground.

“Seems like I used a little too much force, gotta hold back a bit.”

Casio flexed his fist, thinking to himself.

Half a minute later, the familiar scene happened again.

This disciple from the Meditation Gym was a muscular man. He started off in a defensive position, arms in front of his chest, feet firmly planted on the ground.

He seemed to want to stall for time in this way.

Unfortunately, Casio’s powerful punch swept away all defenses. The muscular man was also sent flying out, sliding for five or six meters on the ground.

Another half a minute later, the fourth person seemed to have learned his lesson.

Trying to keep distance with flexible footwork and aim to exhaust Casio.

But in a matter of moments, he was cornered at the edge by Casio. A single collision led to him quickly falling off.

The last, the fifth, a bitter-faced youth.

He was desperately trying to hold on for a few more moves, but he couldn’t escape the curse that had befallen his predecessors. With just one punch from Casio, his defenses completely collapsed.

The senior brother of the Meditation Gym seemed to see a massive elephant charging, unstoppable, majestic, crushing all enemies.

This was the gap between small and large martial schools.

This was the gap between ordinary martial artists and limitations-breaking fist masters!
