Chapter 88: 088 Third Elder Brother_1

“…” The cloaked man glared and collapsed in silence.

But immediately after, one after another of the seemingly dead or seriously injured cloaked figures stood up. They roared like undying spirits, like a wolf pack celebrating its hunt.

Gasping heavily, Casio now understood why the Wind Elephant Gate was wiped out. Their adversaries were not human at all! Instead, they were a pack of unknown monsters!

A group of powerful beasts with remarkable healing abilities could transform twice. After turning blood-red, the cloaked figures had surprisingly reached the level of a weak fighter, probably the kind that had just broken through the human limit but hadn’t had time to consolidate their power yet.

They were definitely no match for Casio, but there were hundreds of them! Casio would have to use his blood boost and his Wind Elephant Fist’s lethal move to deal with one. He knew in his heart that at full strength, he could only face three blood-red cloaked figures at the same time. Once it reached five, no matter how hard Casio tried, he would surely die.

Thinking of this, he began to breathe heavily.

Suddenly, a series of screams echoed. A disciple from Wind Elephant Gate was caught by a blood-red cloaked figure, torn in half mid-air by a tremendous force, his blood blending with the rainwater as it splashed on the ground.

Some of the teachers, unable to resist, were surrounded by four or five cloaked figures. One who was not afraid to die lunged up and tore off their arm, then unable to hold on with only one arm, they were cruelly dismembered.

Everything seemed to overlap with Li Wei’s memories.

The terrifying nightmare crawled out from the rain one step at a time, bringing a suffocating despair that swallowed everything.

“Ahh!!!”

In the depths of the cloak’s encirclement, an elder roared and swept his arms across, his enormous force blasting everything around him away.

Four or five cloaked figures were torn to pieces and fell.

But the “beasts” around him showed no fear, instead, they became even more ferocious and rushed forward. They used everything on their bodies as weapons, even refusing to dodge. A moment later, a scream came from the center that was besieged and impenetrable.

An elder of the Wind Elephant Gate was overwhelmed and killed by the “fighter”.

Elsewhere, Moses roared: “Lanxi!”

He saw Moses, like a brown bear, fiercely rolling over, his arms waving and knocking over the attacking cloaked figures.

Lanxi, who was being besieged, stood trembling in the heavy rain, his weak body covered in blood. He put his right hand tightly on his left shoulder, where his arm had originally been but was now lying on the ground, blood gushing from the wound. Lanxi raised his head, his tea-green hair sticking to his forehead, a huge scar running across his entire face.

That beautifully delicate face had been brutally torn.

He was an agile fighter, but he was now completely surrounded. Just a slight hinderance had landed him in this predicament. The pain made Lanxi’s body tremble continuously.

He barely managed to show Moses an ugly smile: “Don’t mind me. You might still be able to break out!”

“It’s… too late…”

Moses slightly turned his body to reveal a large wound at his waist, where ripped muscles and clothing intertwined and mixed.

“Alright… alright… never thought we brothers would fall here, what a stupid way to die!” Lanxi and Moses leaned back to back, assuming the Wind Elephant Gate’s combat stance.

They looked around, a large group of cloaked figures were rushing towards them. Yet, even in such a situation, the two were still bickering.

“You sissy, while we still have some time left, fulfill our wager. You need to seriously call me ‘Third Brother’!”

Moses said smugly, a smile on his face.

“In your dreams.”

Lanxi’s voice was hoarse, almost wheezing. The wound had gone through his lips and part of his mouth.

“Are you planning on breaching our agreement? Hmm… I always thought you were a man of your word, you sissy.” Moses brow furrowed, the pain in his waist was affecting his thinking.

“Bulldog, don’t even think about it. You’ve never called me ‘Third Brother’ before. If you want me to call you ‘Third Brother’, wait till your next life!”

Lanxi didn’t let up at all.

Surrounding them, a dozen cloaked figures were nearing them. Their evil, bloody aura directly encircled the two of them.

“Damn sissy, this time we’re really going to die.”

Moses narrowed his eyes.

“Yeah, you stupid bulldog, you’re going to be a dead bear…”

Lanxi pulled at the corner of his mouth.

“Third Brother…” a soft whisper came from behind.

Lanxi’s eyes widened: “What did you just call me, you dead bulldog?!”

“I said! Third! Brother! Ahhhhhhh!!!”

Two figures roared as they rushed towards the dense monsters.

Separated by nearly a hundred meters, the protective net around the Wind Elephant Gate team had been torn to pieces. Originally there were more than a dozen fighters, but now only three or four were left, the elite disciples who were being protected had also been reduced by half. A lone figure in the front was in the midst of a frenzied battle.

Heige was single-handedly holding back ten blood-red monsters. His body was riddled with wounds. His fighting arm was torn, revealing the underlying stark white bones.

Of the five fingers, only the thumb remained.

But Heige was still fending off the enemy with a vigorous slap.

“Bang!” He overturned a cloaked figure with one slap, his view drifted to the distance, where the Wind Elephant Gate’s senior level was fighting.

Originally there were five people, but now only a lone Belon was fighting fiercely, restraining at least half of the firepower.

“Heige!!!”

A roaring voice traveled from far away.

Heige chuckled bitterly in his heart, he understood Belon’s intention. They had tried to break out before but failed every time. Still, he turned and fiercely addressed Jadis on his side: “Jadis, lead everyone else and break out! I’ll pave the way for you!”

“Yes.” Jadis pierced the enemy with a punch and rushed over.

Thus, like a steel knife, Heige brutally stayed at the forefront, with a group of disciples following behind like the blade and hilt of a knife. However, even the sharpest blade tip would eventually become dull, especially a notched one. Heige’s entire palm had been ground flat, leaving only a bloodied wrist and a snow-white forearm bone.

But he still stood at the forefront.

Suddenly, a cloaked figure with a concealed aura sneak attacked from the side, tearing off Heige’s only remaining right arm.

Now, Heige was left with only a pair of legs. His face twisted in agony, he yelled for them to run and then rushed at the figure who wanted to attack from behind. One by one, his silhouette was torn apart.

On the other side, where the number of cloaked figures was relatively less.

Blood and limbs scattered along the path, light red rainwater filled the messy muddy pits created by their numerous footsteps. The muddy pools reflected the faint light seeping through the dark clouds overhead, countless raindrops fell like needles, piercing pain onto one’s skin.

In the curtain of rain, a muscular but badly injured youth guarded the frail figure behind him with his life, resisting the surrounding attacks like a frenzied mad dog.

He swung his fists wildly; his world was drenched in blood, everywhere he looked, all he saw was enemies. The warmth behind him kept his nerves taut.

“Break out! Break out! I want to break out with the teacher!”

“We can break out!”

“We must!!!”
