I Can Transform Into Any Monster-Chapter 32: Destination
Chapter 32: Destination
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Alice knocked on the office door.
"Mr. Joe, I’m Alice," she said in a polite tone.
"Come in!" A rather old voice responded from inside.
Alice then opened the door, revealing a small office space with a simple work desk.
Luis saw the figure of a white-haired old man inside, tidying up books in a cupboard.
He stopped doing so when Alice entered.
Luis just stood beside the door and the old man, Mr. Joe, stared at him for a while.
He had a naturally fierce expression on his face, but right now, he seemed calm. Perhaps it was because it was too early in the morning and he was still sleepy so his spirits were still low.
After that, a black sword appeared in his hand.
The sword was not very long, only as long as Alice’s hand, it looked thin but had a long dragon carved on it.
Luis did not see any particular light from the sword, yet he somehow felt uneasy and nervous when he saw it.
Mr. Joe handed the sword directly to Alice as he said, "You have to be careful when using it, lest it slips out of your hand after you energize it or it attacks you. Each weapon in Tier A already has a life of its own and is difficult to subdue..."
Alice nodded, accepting the sword as she said, "I will!"
She then transferred the sword to her Dimension Artifact.
Afterwards, she had a little chat with Mr. Joe.
Alice told him their purpose was to obtain a Spirit for Luis.
Mr. Joe occasionally nodded but after Alice finished speaking, he suddenly said while looking at Luis sarcastically, "Alice, this man can’t be so trusted. He’s kind of selfish and puts his own interests first. If he is at home in this organization, it only means that he wants to deceive you, so you should be careful of him, lest you fall for his tricks. Even if you have above-average intelligence, a young girl tends to be easily deceived by jerks."
Luis, "..."
’What the hell is this old man,’ he thought.
He had actually asked Alice to be wary of him and accused him of deceiving her.
Only, it wasn’t clear what he meant by he was going to deceive Alice. What kind of deception would he do.
On the other hand, Alice just smiled faintly.
"Don’t worry, Mr. Joe, I’m not easily fooled by a man," she said.
Mr. Joe nodded but his sardonic glare at Luis did not disappear.
Luis knew he wasn’t happy with him, but as a student, he was a bad student, often not doing his homework, skipping class, and lying to teachers.
Perhaps from his point of view, a man like him would spread negativity to Alice.
"Mr. Joe, we’re leaving first," Alice added.
She gave Luis a look to follow her as she took a step.
Luis didn’t want to continue being near the old teacher, he naturally followed her quickly.
If only he was just an ordinary teacher, he could have mocked him in response.
Unfortunately, this old man was a Level B Awakener.
He was too dangerous for him.
Exiting the teacher’s office, Luis saw Thomas and the others.
They looked like they were going to the extracurricular room.
Meeting Alice, they stopped their steps spontaneously, staring at Luis who was following behind them.
They seemed to be curious about him because he suddenly became close to Alice.
"Alice, do you want to go to Apocalypse World?" Thomas asked.
"Yes," Alice replied in a quiet voice.
She did not stop her steps in front of them.
Since Alice had already answered, Thomas couldn’t keep asking.
They weren’t in the same group, just friends at school, he naturally couldn’t ask for her clear purpose in Apocalypse World.
Luis continued to follow Alice, smiling at Thomas and the others to show friendliness except to Milo.
Despite being with Alice, Thomas still seemed friendly to him.
After all, it was no secret that in this school, he was one of her pursuers even though he didn’t look so serious.
"Why are they together? I heard Alice also lent him her car," one of them said.
"Did Alice recruit him as a subordinate to help her?" The other wondered.
"Why would she recruit him instead? Many of us offered ourselves to her but she always refused. She always says she doesn’t need a subordinate."
"There’s no way Alice likes Luis so she’s helping him, right?"
"That’s ridiculous, it doesn’t make sense."

Meanwhile, Luis and Alice had arrived at the front of the car.
Alice got into the driver’s seat while Luis got into the passenger seat.
Now, they were actually going together so the students who saw them could only wonder.
Some even suspected that they had a special relationship and went to deepen their relationship.
Of course, anyone who said this would cause the ire of the other students.
Luis knew that the attention to him reached the highest level because he was with Alice.
He glanced at her as he focused on driving while occasionally looking at her cell phone.
With pale white skin that seemed to glow, it was hard to stop staring at her face after taking one look at her.
She was indeed too beautiful as a woman and had an aura of high intellect.
Women like her are hard to find. In a large school, there may not necessarily be one like her who has high qualities in all areas.
Most have flaws in one area and strengths in another.
’No wonder Mr. Joe thought I was going to deceive Alice,’ Luis thought. ’But how could she be gullible.’
Any man who got the chance to get close to her would probably want to have her one way or another.
But, those things are only easy to say and think.
Not long after, they finally arrived outside the city, passing through a vast area of plantations.
He could see countless grape and strawberry trees as far as his eyes could see, but they were all owned by Isadonna’s company that had forcibly bought the land from the locals.
When the grapes and strawberries were brought to the empire, the price could be tens to hundreds of times higher.
What did Velos get?
Nothing at all because the taxes and income only went to the imperial people.
Even the workers are not locals. They use robots that can do gardening.
After passing through the plantation area, they arrived at a location that was rather arid because it was a mining area in the past.
There were even many large truck skeletons that had merged with nature, filled with vines.
If they had become skeletons like that and blended into nature, never having been moved for a long time, those trucks usually appeared in Apocalypse World as well.
Alice stopped her car at the side of the road when they arrived there.
Even she immediately turned off the car’s engine which meant that this area was their destination.
"Luis, this area has many monsters known as Black Titans." Alice began to speak. "Their bodies are made of coal that can become a huge fire when exposed to strong friction. In addition, they can spew black smoke that can make you stop breathing instantly. Normally, they only consist of Level 3, 4, and 5, but they are extremely powerful with a very large number. However, even if you don’t have a Spirit, you have a Tier 3 Power Core, one of the elements of which is water. Water is necessary to fight them because when wet, their bodies will not become fire. Therefore, I want you to activate your Water Domain later to help me."
She looked at him after she said that then continued, "At Level E+, your Anima should be enough to create a huge Water Domain. It’s just that, I’m not sure how long you can last."
"But I’m not a Level E+ Awakener," Luis replied in response.
He did not mind having to tell her that he was already at Level D because in the end, he would have to reveal it to her if they were to cooperate.
Of course, the most important factor was because he knew that she would just shut up after knowing that.
She was not the type to be excessively interested in other people’s business, let alone to the point of spreading it.
"What do you mean?" asked Alice in response with Alice frowning.
"I’ve advanced to Level D," Luis replied with a faint smile.
He even showed her the screen of his Statistics Watch that displayed his data.
Alice couldn’t hide her surprise when she saw that.
She even narrowed her eyes as she looked at the watch screen.
After being fully convinced, she looked at his face seriously.
"Looks like you do have something hidden," she said.
"Does your instinct tell you that?" He asked.
"A little, but I wasn’t sure. Now I’m very sure..." the woman nodded lightly.
"Your progress to Level E in one day shouldn’t be due to luck. In two days, you reached Level D instead, will you reach Level C tomorrow or today?"
"Uhmm, how could it be so easy to reach Level C. After all, even someone like Thomas still can’t advance any further after reaching Level D," Luis said with a chuckle.
It’s just that, he couldn’t say how his fate was considering that it seemed that a lot of luck had come into his life.
Alice did not say anything else in response. She opened the door beside her before getting out of the car.
Her demeanor was in line with Luis’ expectations. She was only surprised, but did not overreact.
