Chapter 4: What is Going On???

After having lunch and cleaning up the house, I felt a lingering sense of curiosity tugging at me. The strange door that led to another world had been consuming my thoughts, making it impossible to focus on anything else. With my stomach full and my mind restless, I decided to return through the door once more.

Stepping into the mysterious room, I felt the faint hum of magic in the air. The room was just as I had left it—the luxurious furniture, the flawless marble flooring, and the faint golden glow from the ornate chandelier. Yet, beyond the extravagant decor, my eyes were drawn to the massive garden outside the room's window.

"It's so big..." I muttered in awe, my voice barely louder than a whisper. "I still can't believe all of this is mine now."

The sheer expanse of the estate was difficult to fathom. The lush fields, vibrant flowerbeds, and crystal-clear pond painted a picturesque landscape that felt too perfect to be real. But the most astonishing part of all was the world itself—an entirely different realm, somehow connected to my own through this mysterious doorway.

I walked toward the door and, driven by curiosity, I activated [Appraisal] on it.

[???]

Origin: Unknown

Classification: Dimensional Gateway

Appraisal Result: Even God does not know its origin.

I blinked in disbelief, staring at the message in my mind.

"Wait, what? Even God doesn't know where it came from?"

That implied... the existence of God. God was here. Or at least, something or someone of such an omniscient caliber existed, yet even they were unaware of this door's origins. The implications were staggering.

Still processing the gravity of this revelation, I decided to step outside into the garden once again, letting the cool breeze wash over me. The fresh scent of grass and blooming flowers filled my lungs, and for a brief moment, I felt at peace.

But then, my entire body suddenly froze.

A bone-chilling sensation swept over me, and my breath caught in my throat. A suffocating pressure weighed down on my chest, making it difficult to breathe. My skin prickled with cold sweat, and I frantically glanced around, my heart hammering against my ribcage.

Updat𝓮d from frёewebnoѵēl.com.

That's when I saw it.

At the edge of the garden, near the fence, stood a creature unlike anything I had ever seen before. Its massive frame towered over the boundary line, easily exceeding two meters in height. Its skin was dark red, as though it had been smeared with fresh blood, and its biceps were so enormous that they were thicker than my entire torso. Its face was monstrous, resembling a mythical oni from Japanese folklore, with two jagged fangs jutting from its lower jaw.

Its eyes, filled with violent bloodlust, were locked onto me.

Terrified, I instinctively activated [Appraisal] on the creature, my mind scrambling for information.

[Bloody Ogre]

Level: 300

Magic: 100

Attack: 5000

Defense: 5000

Agility: 1000

Intelligence: 500

Luck: 100

I stared at the stats in disbelief, my throat tightening.

"W-what the hell are these ridiculous stats...?!"

My entire being was trembling. I was level 1—my stats were a mere 1 across the board, yet I was somehow facing this level 300 monstrosity.

"Isn't it weird to pit a level 1 like me against something like this?!"

Before I could process the absurdity of the situation, the Bloody Ogre roared, unleashing a deep, guttural bellow that shook the ground beneath my feet. The sheer force of its voice sent a sharp chill down my spine, and my legs gave out beneath me.

I fell onto my backside with a thud, trembling violently. I nearly wet myself, but some last shred of dignity held me back.

With murderous intent, the Bloody Ogre suddenly charged toward me, moving with surprising agility for something so massive. The earth shook with every step as it thundered toward me, and I was certain I was about to die.

But then—

BAM!

The Ogre slammed into an invisible wall, grunting in frustration as it was suddenly halted in its tracks.

"H-huh...?"

I blinked in confusion. The monster, seemingly confused as well, snarled and slammed its fists against the barrier, but it couldn't pass through.

That's when I remembered.

"Oh... that's right. No one but me can enter this property!"

The realization flooded my chest with momentary relief. The Ogre was completely blocked by the mysterious barrier, unable to enter the yard no matter how much it roared and thrashed.

But my relief was short-lived.

The Ogre, realizing it couldn't get to me directly, grabbed a nearby tree. With a horrifying display of strength, it ripped the entire tree out of the ground with one hand and hurled it toward the house.

"W-wait! What!?"

My eyes widened in terror, and I instinctively screamed, bracing for impact. The massive tree hurtled through the air—

WHAM!

—and bounced harmlessly off the house.

"H-huh...?"

The defensive barrier of the house was stronger than I imagined. Not only did it block living creatures, but it also deflected indirect attacks, including massive objects like the tree.

Still, the Ogre refused to give up. It repeatedly grabbed boulders and tree trunks, flinging them with wild fury. Yet, no matter how many times it attacked, everything bounced off the protective field, leaving the house untouched.

But despite my physical safety, the psychological torment was wearing me down. The Ogre's relentless attacks, combined with its bloodcurdling roars, made my hands tremble with fear.

"I... I can't just sit here... is there anything I can do...?"

Suddenly, an idea struck me.

"Wait... can my attacks leave the property?"

A spark of hope ignited in my chest. The barrier only seemed to block external forces, but what if I could attack from the inside out?

Determined to test my theory, I reached into my [Item Box] and pulled out the [Absolute Spear].

I considered using the [Formless Bow], but my current physical strength was too weak to even draw it properly. The [Absolute Spear], however, didn't require much force—it was a target-tracking weapon. Even if my throw was weak, the spear would still lock onto its target and strike with deadly precision.

"Alright..."

My hands were trembling slightly, but I gripped the spear tightly. The weapon felt heavy and solid, its sleek design emphasizing function over aesthetics. I staggered slightly as I threw the spear with all my might, though in reality, it barely left my hand, flying only a few centimeters forward.

But it didn't matter.

The moment the spear was airborne, its magic activated. It locked onto the Ogre, and in the blink of an eye, it shot forward like a comet, piercing straight through the Bloody Ogre's massive chest.

"GRRRAAAAAAGH!!"

The monster let out a choked roar, its eyes widening in shock. A gaping hole had appeared in its chest, and blood poured freely from the mortal wound. The Ogre staggered back, groaning one final time before collapsing onto the ground, lifeless.

For a moment, I was frozen, unable to comprehend what had just happened.

"I... I did it...?"

The Ogre's body dissolved into particles of light, disappearing without a trace. My legs gave out, and I collapsed onto the grass, trembling. Relief and adrenaline coursed through me, making me feel lightheaded and giddy.

And then—

[LEVEL UP]

A notification appeared before me.

"Huh?"

I stared at the message, dumbfounded.

I had killed a monster far beyond my level. And somehow, I had leveled up.
