I Got A Title: Lord Of The Time!-Chapter 100: Empty hall
The light reflected on every surface like a smooth mirror, showing direct views of the corridor along which the group of six walked.
They moved calmly through the wide corridor, frequently glancing around in case they needed to use their skills at any moment.
But fortunately, they hadn’t needed to so far.
"This corridor is exactly like the one we walked on at the beginning. So is this really another floor or just a path?" Egro observed the corridor with obvious interest. It seemed to him to be exactly like the one they had originally walked through.
Royal nodded and agreed with him.
"It really is. But just because this corridor looks like the last one, doesn’t that mean it might also have some sort of trial? Be ready to act at any moment."
Aran looked at Royal and smirked.
"Don’t worry about our safety. After your betrayal, we’re always prepared."
Royal rolled his eyes at Aran’s reproach. Although he was right about the betrayal, what did that have to do with the current moment? They were all on the same boat, one that constantly rocked from side to side. If the passengers started arguing over small things, they could all end up underwater.
Without responding to Aran, Royal looked ahead at the long, bright corridor that didn’t seem to end, and said:
"We’ve already been walking for about an hour, but we haven’t seen an end or a trial yet. That could indicate a different structure or purpose of the corridor. We came to the black door from a hall. And now, from the orange door, we’re heading somewhere."
"You mean we’re about to come upon another room with another function?" asked Silia.
"Yes," Royal nodded.
"I wonder what it will be?" Aran made a thoughtful expression to appear smarter and continued, "Since there’s so much interesting stuff in this castle, every room should have a unique twist that will amaze everyone!" 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Egro shook his head and asked:
"Do you really think the next room will be as interesting as the one with the stairs and bridges?"
"I don’t think," Aran turned to Egro and continued, "I know."
"..."
Egro shook his head and turned to Lin, asking:
"What do you think? Will there be an interesting room?"
Lin sighed and replied:
"This castle is a very unusual place. So anything can be expected from its rooms. I just hope there’s nothing strange in there."
"I agree with Lin," Yulan decided to answer too, and continued: "Even though we’ve only spent a little time in this place, it’s been enough to understand the full scope of it. Right now, it’s really better to hope that nothing weird happens like with the blue door."
Egro nodded and agreed:
"Of course."
...
Another hour passed.
At that moment, the group could make out the outlines of another room ahead at the end of the bright corridor!
They had finally reached a new room!
"That’s a very big room..." Royal muttered.
Aran laughed and with a wide smile, told everyone:
"This is it. I can feel it, I feel that this room will be very interesting..."
"We’ll see about that," Silia added.
The group slightly sped up and walked toward the new room with more hope.
Walking through the large bright corridor, the group reached the room at high speed and slowly looked inside.
It was a large bright hall, where two colors — blue and yellow — combined, creating a sense of purity and divinity. Every part of this hall was so clean that it reflected the room itself!
In the center of the hall stood a round, slightly elevated white platform, on which there was nothing, just like the rest of the hall.
It was an empty hall!
The group had not yet entered the hall itself but was carefully inspecting every part of it, trying to spot anything strange.
But there was nothing strange about the place.
The hall was completely clean.
"Seems like there’s nothing strange here," Royal slowly announced after scanning the entire hall.
"But what if there are hidden dangers inside?" asked Yulan.
"And what are we supposed to do about them? We’ve been walking through the corridor all this time and haven’t encountered anything that could threaten our lives. Do you really think there’s something in there?" Aran doubted Yulan’s words while watching Lin’s reaction.
But unfortunately, Lin didn’t care.
"Then what do you suggest we do?" Silia stepped in to support Yulan and asked Aran.
"Let Lin use his skill and run in his accelerated mode for a bit."
Lin frowned and looked at Aran, suggesting:
"But you can use your own skill and go in there while invisible. Am I really necessary for this?"
Naturally, Aran was prepared for such a reply from Lin, so he calmly responded:
"Just imagine: what if there are some arrows that shoot at uninvited guests? Do you think they’ll hit you instantly, especially considering your speed?"
"There might not be arrows."
Aran brightly smiled like a second sun and replied:
"Whatever’s in there, I don’t think it can reach higher speed than you. But! If you’re willing to provide more information... Then yes. That’ll work out great!"
Lin sighed and decided to use his skill.
He looked at the large bright hall and prepared to enter it. Naturally, the others noticed and showed various expressions on their faces, but the happiest was Aran, who was practically glowing with his own smile.
"Too bad he didn’t tell us more about his skill and Title..." Aran sighed lightly and decided to observe Lin’s actions.
At that moment, Lin used his skill: "Slow Motion Perception!"
Within ten meters of him, time slowed down. But since there was nothing nearby moving at high speed, it didn’t manifest strongly. But Lin didn’t pay much attention to that as he approached the entrance to the hall.
"Whatever it is, I should have enough time to get out," he thought, stepping into the hall and tensing up, waiting.
A second passed.
Another second passed.
Ten seconds had passed since Lin stepped into the hall, but nothing happened.
Lin sighed with relief and took a few more steps in, carefully looking around to notice any potential danger.
But just like before — nothing happened.
"Looks like this place doesn’t contain any danger," Lin concluded, but he didn’t relax.
The skill’s duration was nearing its end, so he quickly returned to the corridor and expected to lose his memory.
When the skill ended, the slowed-time zone disappeared too, activating Lin’s forgetfulness.
Everyone watched Lin’s instant actions and was amazed.
"Even though I’ve seen him use the skill several times, I’m always surprised by his speed..." Silia shook her head and waited for Lin to regain his memory.
After ten seconds, when Lin regained his memory, everyone approached him and waited for his response.
"Did anything happen? Even though nothing appeared and the time you spent there was short, was there anything strange?" asked Silia.
Lin shook his head and calmly replied:
"No. It’s calm in there."
