Chapter 52: Conversation of fools

"Aran!" Lin suddenly turned around and looked at a young guy with black hair and bright red eyes, like two crimson gems.

"Ha-ha. Mister Lin, how are you? I didn’t expect to meet you here..."

Lin frowned and asked: freewebnσvel.cøm

"How long have you been following me? You clearly didn’t just appear here."

Aran smiled and shrugged, saying:

"And what answer would you like to hear? If I were a liar, I’d say I saw you an hour ago and started following you, studying you. But..." Aran sighed and continued, "since I’m always honest with my friends, I’ll tell you the truth. I started following you a few hours ago and was studying you to be prepared for anything."

Lin scoffed coldly at Aran’s words.

"If you think your manipulations will work on me, you’re clearly mistaken, Aran," he turned away from him and continued walking.

Aran simply smiled and followed Lin.

"I take it you didn’t manage to get anything from those goats?" he looked at the goat corpses and asked.

Lin didn’t respond, as every word he said to Aran could be used against him.

"This Aran has always been strange... He asks weird questions and answers them in just as strange a way... It’s obvious he’s gathering information, but he does it in a very... unusual manner."

"Hm? Not going to answer? Why are all of you so quiet when I start asking questions?" Aran placed one hand on his chin and began pondering. Coming to some sort of realization, he said:

"Ah! I get it now — why you’re all so silent! It’s because you’re all shy about talking to such a handsome guy like me! Am I right?"

Lin ignored Aran’s remark about himself and others, and simply continued walking quietly.

"So, Lin? Why are you so quiet among all people? Do you have some kind of condition?.. Or maybe something happened to you in childhood that made you act like this?" Aran smiled and looked at Lin’s face.

Lin tried to suppress any emotion, but the mention of his childhood briefly paused him. He looked at Aran and said:

"The moon is no enemy to the sun until it blocks its path. But if it does, then the sun will have to destroy the moon," saying this, Lin walked on, not wanting to speak further with Aran.

Aran laughed at Lin’s threat and said:

"As you say, as you say."

"To be honest, I’m not really a strong person... So the sun really could destroy me, but does it understand that the moon has a family who could easily destroy the sun? Ha-ha-ha!"

Aran laughed and continued walking behind Lin, constantly talking to him about different topics. It irritated Lin so much that he decided not to just stay silent, but to talk to Aran in the same tone!

"Let’s see how he answers such questions himself."

"By the way, Lin. Which Titles do you like most?" Aran looked at Lin and asked with interest.

"Aran, where did you appear? And how did you even end up in the Magic World? When I left, I didn’t see you..."

"In the hilly region. I didn’t quite understand where I was at first, but now I know — it’s somewhere in the Great Underfined Peaks. And as for your second question... You probably didn’t notice, but I was one of the first to step through those Gates..." Aran answered Lin’s questions calmly.

"And what about my question? Will you answer it?"

Lin thought for a moment and replied:

"I like your Title the most. It’s so unusual that it actually becomes interesting... Maybe you could tell me more about it?"

Aran froze for a second, then laughed.

"Yes. I also think my Title is quite unique..."

Lin smiled and asked:

"And what kind of girls do you like? Are there any who mesmerize you? Maybe Silia? You know, she’s really beautiful, especially with her silver hair."

"Silia... She really is beautiful. But you know, I already have someone in mind — a girl I love."

"Oh? And who is it?" Lin asked with interest.

"You."

"..."

Lin stared at Aran in shock, and Aran only laughed at his reaction.

"Of course, it’s just a joke... Though I didn’t want to upset you, Lin. I wanted you to feel good, knowing that someone really loves you..."

Lin tried to suppress the rising anger in his heart. He looked at Aran and said through clenched teeth:

"Yes. I’m very flattered by your words."

"Ha-ha. Always happy to help — I just love supporting people."

...

Several hours passed, and Lin and Aran continued to talk.

"Lin, what was that insane speed you showed during the goat fight?"

"Oh, that. I just used: "Abilities I Don’t Want Others to See But I Want to Look Cool" — that’s my skill. Though I think it’s not as good as your skill. What’s yours called?"

Aran nodded and answered:

"Your skill is very unusual. Mine is called: "Don’t Stick Your Nose Where It Doesn’t Belong". I also think it’s quite unique — after all, it’s symbolic."

Lin slapped his forehead and laughed.

"So that’s what it is. And here I thought your skill was called: "No One Notices Me Because I’m Annoying to Everyone". Ha-ha. But how wrong I was. That’s a really unique skill. I have to praise you for being so lucky to get it."

Aran laughed.

"I think your version is more accurate."

"Of course."

"And what do you think of Royal, Silia, Egro, and the others?" Lin asked him with great interest.

"Well, they’re all different personalities, but I’ve come to a verdict for each of them. Since you’re my good friend, I’ll share it with you," he sighed and began:

"Royal — he’s an extremely arrogant guy. I don’t like his golden hair, because I’m jealous of it. I’m also jealous of his popularity with the girls... Silia — she’s insanely juicy and hot, did you see her curves when she wore tight clothing?.. Ah, how I want her. And her silver hair — it’s so rare for a human. As for Egro... Well, I don’t know much about him. I just heard he’s really popular with a girl who does certain things to herself at night... And constantly thinks about Egro..."

Lin nodded occasionally, showing agreement with Aran, until he heard the same question directed at him:

"And you? What do you think of them?"

"My thoughts are pretty similar to yours... So, Royal — he’s that kind of person, what do they call them... Oh right, a narcissist! He’s a narcissist because he constantly shows off... What’s the word... Right! His pride and arrogance! And Silia... I think of her every night... She’s so beautiful, hot, juicy, her body is just perfect... In short, I want her..."

Aran frowned slightly and said:

"But you have Yulan, and she’s not that much worse than Silia."

Lin rolled his eyes.

"And who said I can’t have two girls at once?"

Aran seemed enlightened and nodded.

"Right. I’ll keep that in mind too!"

They both laughed, but behind the friendly conversation, their true intentions were hidden.

"This Aran... All this time I’ve spent with him, he’s been trying every possible way to get information out of me."

"Lin... He’s interesting. I enjoy talking to him."
