Chapter 113: Feelings Of Worry

It had been three days since Megan had gone to Dormania and she hadn’t given any news to Odelia or Sean. The last time she gave them news was that she had arrived at the hotel. But after that, Megan didn’t contact either of them again.

This was a concern for them, because it was clear that Dormania was quite a dangerous place even though it was used spot by many tourists. Even so, the place is inseparable from the world of the mafia, which is known to be quite dangerous.

"I haven’t tried to contact her yet because I’m worried about disrupting her work time. Should we try to contact her?" Odelia asked her husband.

"We can try. We should contact her now before something happens to her. I don’t want anything to happen but at least we can know what she’s doing right now," Sean said then took his cell phone and called his younger sister.

After waiting a few minutes, Megan finally picked up the phone from Sean and asked why they were calling her.

"You’re still asking why? Of course it’s because we’re worried about you, considering you haven’t given us any news since yesterday. When are you coming back to Zondalian?"

"I think I’ll be home the day after tomorrow. My work will be finished tomorrow. So the day after tomorrow I’ll fly straight to Zondalian," Megan replied in a slightly weak voice.

"Did you just wake up? Shouldn’t it be lunchtime at Dormania?" asked Odelia, who was listening to their conversation.

Megan admitted that she had overslept after returning to the hotel to do her work. That’s why she sounded so weak as she just woke up from her sleep. Odelia reminded her not to forget to eat lunch as Megan sometimes skipped it.

"Take it easy I won’t miss it this time. You two don’t need to worry about me, I’m an adult and I’ll be fine. How’s my little niece doing? Is she okay? Isn’t she looking for me?"

"Oh she was looking for you, it seems she couldn’t wait for you to come home. So hurry back home," Sean said.

She chuckled when she heard that then said that she had something to do now so she would end the call. Sean and Odelia agreed and they finally hung up.

"It’s good if she’s okay," he said feeling quite relieved although in truth Odelia felt that something had changed a bit about Megan.

She wasn’t as excited as usual, especially since she only answered their questions without talking about anything else that she always did. Like telling them about the past three days that had happened to her. But this time she was silent and didn’t say anything about it.

Odelia thought that maybe Megan had just woken up or was too busy working so she wasn’t focused on their call at the time. She just hoped that Megan would be okay.

"Aunty!" called Carmelia who noticed her aunt’s voice but unfortunately the call had already been ended.

"Your aunty is busy, we can call her later when she tells us she’s not busy."

The little girl nodded her head and climbed onto her father’s lap to ask for a book to read. Sean smiled and lifted his daughter’s body onto his lap and held the book she was carrying.

Seeing that they were busy reading a story, Odelia decided to make a snack for her and her family.

"Then I’ll go to the kitchen, make some snacks for us," she said then got up from her chair and went to the kitchen.

While in the kitchen, Odelia continued to think about Mega, who had looked different a few days before leaving for Dormania. The woman daydreamed more and even when spoken to sometimes she felt confused about what was being said.

She didn’t seem to focus on what was around her, as if something was occupying her mind.

Of course it worried her, especially since Megan had to go to Dormania to do her work alone. She didn’t talk about this with Sean because she didn’t want him to worry.

"I think when she comes home, I should ask her what happened. Maybe she’ll find it easier to talk to me as a fellow woman. Instead of her talking to Sean who will definitely fight with each other," she muttered at the time.

After making the snacks, she met up with her husband and daughter and ate the snacks together. Carmelia looked so happy with the snacks that she sat and ate them alone.

"Speaking of Dormania, I just remembered that I got an email from one of the businessmen there. He invited me to come to his hotel to discuss some things. I know it’s not very safe but because there are so many tourist attractions, it means it will be quite safe to be there," Sean said.

He invited Odelia to come with him and vacation together in that place. He remembered that there were some tourist attractions in Dormania that were very famous and that a lot of people went there.

"Considering we’ve never gone on a honeymoon, and I don’t think we’ll have time because no one can look after Carmelia. So let’s just go on a vacation there together," he asked, which made Odelia hesitate a little. However, she began to agree after seeing the beautiful tourist attractions in that country on the internet.

"Then I’ll come along. I’m sure Carmelia will be happy to go there too," she said.

After some conversation, they finally agreed to go and would make a passport for their daughter first. Odelia couldn’t wait to get there, little did she know that something might be waiting for her there.

Two days later, Megan packed up her clothes to head back to Zondalian. The reason she was about to leave Dormania was because the ticket she had booked was linked to a return ticket that would only leave 3 days after she had last seen Samuel.

Because of this, she stayed in her hotel room until the date specified on her return ticket arrived.

She deliberately lied to Sean and Odelia about her work there, so that they wouldn’t suspect or worry about anything.

"I hope this will be my last trip to Dormania. If there is a job here someday, I think I’ll just send someone else, because I don’t want to come here again," she muttered and then pulled her suitcase to leave immediately.

But just as she was about to open the door, a man appeared in a hurry and blocked her way out of her room. It was as if the man didn’t want to let her go after he had struggled to find her for three days.

When she raised her head, she saw the man who had been making her so restless and confused lately. The man who she cried for a few days ago and even now still made her feelings hurt.

"Samuel."
