I Have A Baby From My Ex-Husband's Enemy-Chapter 66: You’re Not Part Of My Family
A blonde woman suddenly hugged Samuel when she just got out of the elevator as if she had been waiting for him.
The same woman who had been watching Samuel when Megan left with his car.
"Oh honey, you’re finally home!" she said happily as she hugged the man.
"Let go of me, Joice!" Forcibly, Samuel released Joice’s embrace from him. He stared at her while holding both her hands firmly.
"What’s wrong with you? Why are you always like this to me, honey?"
"Stop hugging me and stop calling me that," he said in a cold tone and pushed Joice away from him.
From his eyes, Samuel seemed to really dislike the woman in front of him. In fact, he looked very cold and looked at her with a look of dislike.
It annoyed Joice, she wanted him to be warm and accepting of her but in the three years since they met, Samuel had never once responded to her in kind.
"Hmph, you’re always like that! I’m going to complain to father because you always treat me coldly and rudely!" Joice said in a threatening tone.
"Heh, you’re always snitching. Just complain, I don’t care if you do. You think I’ll care and father will defend you more? Wake up to who you are and what your position is in this house!" He pushed Joice’s forehead with his index finger until she was pushed back.
"Aahhh it hurts!" she screamed.
It wasn’t long before a middle-aged woman with blonde hair approached her daughter.
"What’s wrong, dear? Where does it hurt? What did he do to you, huh?" asked her worried-looking mother who turned to Samuel with a sharp look. "How dare you do that to my daughter! Who do you think you are, that you can do whatever you want?!"
Samuel folded his arms across his chest and rolled his eyes in exasperation at the woman’s tirade.
"Blah blah... Whatever. She’s the one who’s too spoiled, stop yelling in my face because I’m busy," he replied then turned to leave the two of them.
He entered the elevator and went to the top floor of the mansion, the fifth floor. When she got out of the elevator, he went straight to his boss’s room which was guarded by two men.
"Open the door," he said.
"Yes sir!" One of them opened the door and let Samuel in.
There was a man sitting with a cigarette in his hand. His eyes were sharp, staring at the man in front of him.
"I came here to tell you that the weapons supply you wanted me to take has finished being moved into the warehouse, boss," he said as he saluted the man in front of him.
"Good job, my son. I knew I could count on you. You are indeed someone I can trust to someday replace me in the responsibilities of the Lorenzo Family. The business is much better now that you’re here," said the boss, Vasco Lorenzo, who was Samuel and Odelia’s father.
"Thank you, boss."
Vasco laughed and stood up to his son. He patted Samuel on the shoulder with a proud smile. "So I still haven’t heard your one other report."
He turned his head, looking into the eyes of his father who stood next to him.
"You went to Zondalian a few weeks ago, didn’t you? Until now I haven’t heard your report on your sister," said Vasco, asking about Odelia.
For a moment Samuel was at a loss as to how to answer. His mother had asked him not to tell him about Odelia’s current situation. However, he knew that she was in big trouble.
"About that... Odelia..."
BRAK!
The door suddenly opened and Joice and her mother walked into Vasco’s office with an annoyed expression.
"Amber, what the hell are you doing coming into my office making such a scene?"
"You should ask that of your ignorant son! He dared to hurt Joice by pushing her!" snapped Amber.
Vasco turned to Samuel, and the man only responded by rolling his eyes. From there he could understand the trouble his son always got into after he came and worked for him.
"You’re making too much fuss about nothing. Besides, Sam never does anything bad if Joice doesn’t start it first. Now leave my office and stop complaining!" said the head of the Lorenzo Family. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
That sparked Amber’s anger, who came to her daughter’s defense and said that Samuel was the jinx for their family, which had never had such a fuss before. However, Vasco responded coldly and hit his desk very hard.
BRAK!
"You better shut up or I’ll throw you and Joice out of this mansion without a penny!"
"What?! You--" Amber looked even more annoyed as she glared at Samuel who was standing next to Vasco. She really disliked Samuel’s presence during the three years he had been there, she felt that he was intent on snatching the entire Lorenzo Family fortune from her.
She always said bad things about him but Vasco knew that Samuel was not that kind of man. Even though they had never met before, there was something that made him sure of it.
"What are you doing looking at me like that? No matter how hard you try to get father to dump me, you’ll never be able to. You’re the one who’s a nobody in this family, you’re not even fit to bear the name Lorenzo Family," Samuel said.
Seeing this, Joice jumped into the fray, saying that she was just sad that Samuel had never once considered her as his sister. She just wanted him to accept her.
’I’m the most beautiful woman and everyone is begging me to date them. But why don’t you like me?!’ she thought in annoyance.
The ginger-haired man walked over to Joice and stood in front of her. He pulled her jaw firmly and stared at her.
"Until I die, I only have one sister and it’s not you. There will never be a day in my life that I will consider you and your mother as part of my family."
