I Have a Date with a Thousand-year-old Female Corpse-Chapter 1803 - 1804: The Eldest Miss
"Who!?" You immediately shouted.
The figure visibly paused for a moment, then started running even faster than before.
You snorted coldly, stepped forcefully, and quickly darted forward, embracing the shadow ahead with the sound of cutting through the air. Due to the speed, the shadow lost balance, and you both tumbled into the grass.
You rolled several times together in the grass, the shadow still in your embrace. The shadow was noticeably smaller than you had initially perceived, and there was a strong fragrance emanating from it.
This is a woman!
You did not let go but held the person tightly, causing her to let out a soft moan. This moan revived her spirit slightly, and she immediately hissed at you, "Let me go!"
Though her voice was angry, it carried a seductive tone. You also lowered your voice, bringing your lips close to her ear, whispering warmly, "Who are you and why did you sneak into the Zhen Mansion?"
"Sneak in? I... I just came out from inside. I’m a maid here." Her voice was intermittent, the soft tones tinged with shyness, indicating that your actions had slightly stirred her emotions.
"A maid?" You did not get up, but turned her around in your embrace, trying to observe her closely. The night was favorable tonight, with clouds covering the moon. Though she was shy and angry, she didn’t dare to scream and only glared at you with angry eyes.
After groping and feeling indiscriminately, you came to a conclusion—E! A gem!
You wouldn’t believe that this woman in your arms was just a maid. A woman sneaking out stealthily could only be one in the entire Zhen Mansion, a woman you’ve heard of. But it was only after holding her today that you realized the legend was not entirely true; her excellence surpassed what people had described.
"Let me go, you rogue!"
You wouldn’t be scared by a beauty’s annoyance. Pretending not to recognize her, you could take advantage of the situation. Encountering such a gem, any normally functioning man wouldn’t resist taking a few more liberties, tsk tsk!
Once you felt it was enough, you let go of the woman in your embrace and chuckled, "You indeed carry no concealed weapon nor any valuables, so you really are a maid."
"Of course!" She forced herself to swallow the anger. But earlier, during your entanglement, she tasted an unprecedented sensation for herself. Your touch made her body tingle, weak and soft, as if something strange was growing inside, making her very uncomfortable with the itch.
"Since you are a Zhen Mansion maid, why come out so late? Aren’t you aware there’s a curfew at Zhen Mansion? Nobody, not even the owner, can go in and out as they please at night." You had no intention of letting her go, as she was your second priority to protect besides Zhen Luo.
"I... I have an urgent matter." She kept her head down, dared not look at you. Even in total darkness, unable to see each other clearly at close range, she wouldn’t meet your gaze.
The feeling was strange, as if raising her head would let this tall and strong man read all her thoughts.
"Even for urgent matters, you should inform me first. Tell me, what is it?"
"You? Who are you?" She instinctively asked.
"Li Muyun, the newly appointed chief guard. Now the entire Zhen Mansion is under my protection. Nobody can easily leave Zhen Mansion; didn’t you know?"
"It’s Li Muyun?" She blurted out.
You blinked and smiled, "What? You know my name, huh, Missy?"
"You... you know..." She was obviously stunned. She didn’t expect you to be so bold knowing her identity. Emotions welled up inside, not sure if it was shame, anger or something else, leaving her speechless for a moment.
You obviously wouldn’t harp on, having already gotten your fill without anyone around, and she couldn’t possibly tell.
This woman before you was the daughter of the Zhen Mansion, Zhen Jiang. You had heard from others that before the attacks on Zhen Mansion, Zhen Jiang often gambled and drank herself into oblivion. There were rumors that any man who touched her would die, so despite her great beauty, nobody dared approach her, avoiding at the mere mention of her name.
No doubt, Zhen Jiang was suffocated at home and wanted to come out for fresh air.
You smiled, "Miss, are you going to the gambling den or the tavern now?"
"I..." She wanted to say the tavern but realized that going out alone at night was already inappropriate, let alone drinking. Thus, she hesitated, not wanting to ruin her image further. Zhen Jiang never cared before, but in front of you, she didn’t want to be looked down upon, a feeling never felt before.
"It’s different outside than at home. If you want a drink, Miss, let me find a place for you." With that, you stood up straight away. She sat dumbfounded on the ground, trying to wrap her head around the situation.
Looking at Zhen Jiang, you weren’t sure what possessed you to scoop her up entirely, in a suggestive princess carry.
"You... put me down." Her voice as soft as a mosquito’s.
You chuckled softly, holding her without a word, and headed out the back door. Moving quickly with your own arrangement of the night patrol’s routine well known, you carried her back to your courtyard without encountering anyone.
Though it’s mid-autumn with a chill at night, your body radiated warmth like a furnace. Zhen Jiang, held by you, naturally rubbed against you as you moved, her face flushed.
When you lit the lamp in the room, her figure reclining seductively on the wooden bed immediately enchanted your senses. At that moment, Zhen Jiang looked like a blooming, beautiful flower, an irresistible sight.
