Chapter 206: Chapter 206 The Bedframe Cries Out in Mortal Terror

The image of Lin Feng effortlessly subduing Guo Han with nothing more than a single pinky finger still replayed in Lu Ben’s mind.

Even now, Lu Ben could not fully understand what he had witnessed. Guo Han was not weak.

Among the mercenaries of their guild he could easily rank among the stronger fighters.

And yet in front of Lin Feng he had been completely powerless.

"Good is rewarded with good, and evil with evil," Lu Ben muttered quietly.

He was not a saint, and neither was Guo Han. The two of them had walked a bloody path for years.

They had taken jobs that ordinary people would never dare to accept.

Lu Ben understood very clearly that men like them rarely ended their lives peacefully. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

One day their actions would catch up to them.

Perhaps this was simply the beginning of Guo Han’s reckoning.

Lu Ben let out a slow breath and looked at the unconscious man lying on the bed.

Guo Han’s chest rose and fell steadily, looking more like someone in a deep sleep than a wounded fighter.

Unfortunately, no healer in the hall seemed capable of waking him.

Standing there any longer would change nothing.

Without wasting more time, Lu Ben began making arrangements for Guo Han’s care.

He paid a large sum of gold to the medical hall so that they would continue watching over him and inform him if anything changed.

After everything had been settled, Lu Ben gave Guo Han one last look.

Then he turned around and left the medical hall.

Soon after, he departed from Clear Moon City altogether.

This incident was far too serious to ignore.

Someone like Lin Feng was clearly not an ordinary cultivator, and their guild master needed to know about it.

With heavy thoughts lingering in his mind, Lu Ben set off on the road, heading back to report everything that had happened.

An hour later, Guo Han was moved to a storage room in the back of the medical hall.

The place was cold and dimly lit, with rows of beds lined up neatly against the walls.

Several unmoving bodies lay there quietly, each covered with a thin white cloth.

"Zhang San, you’ve got another one to take care of. We’ll leave this body to you. Can you handle it? If you want, I can send someone to help. I know you already have many like this," an old man said as he stepped into the room.

"It’s a minor matter, Master. I can handle a few more by myself," a big, fat man replied casually.

"Good. You’re very dependable and steady, Zhang San. Keep up the good work," the old man praised before turning around and leaving the cold room.

The heavy door closed with a dull thud, leaving Zhang San alone with the new arrival.

His small eyes slowly turned toward Guo Han’s body.

A strange smile spread across his face as he walked over and examined him carefully.

His hands moved across Guo Han’s body as if he were inspecting a rare treasure.

"Hmm... it’s the same technique again," Zhang San muttered softly.

His fingers paused for a moment as his eyes narrowed slightly.

"Is that old monster Lin Feng doing this deliberately... or is it just a coincidence?"

No one was there to answer his question. The silent room only grew colder.

Still, Zhang San had many things to do, and this new arrival had just moved to the top of his list.

He quickly got to work and moved Guo Han’s body into another room.

Ding.

A defensive formation activated around the chamber, sealing the space and ensuring complete privacy between the two of them.

Only after confirming the barrier was stable did Zhang San begin removing Guo Han’s clothes.

"Such a waste of a fine body," the big fatty sighed as he shook his head. "In your next life, remember not to offend that old fogey Lin Feng."

Zhang San took his time, looking over Guo Han carefully as though examining a newly acquired possession.

Meanwhile, Guo Han could feel everything happening around him.

Get your hands off me! What are you doing?! We’re both men! I don’t have anything you want! Guo Han screamed in his mind.

No matter how hard he tried, his body refused to respond. Not a single finger could move.

Of course, Zhang San could not hear his thoughts.

But that did not mean he was as unperceptive as a rock.

A sly smile slowly spread across Zhang San’s chubby face.

"I know you can hear me, little man," he said calmly.

His eyes flicked toward Guo Han’s chest where the heartbeat had clearly grown faster and louder.

"Your heart is beating like a drum."

Zhang San chuckled softly.

"Let me open your eyes so you can see your new master."

With thick fingers, he peeled Guo Han’s eyelids open.

The first thing Guo Han saw was Zhang San’s enormous, greasy face looming right above him.

"Do you like me now? Are you already in love with your master?" Zhang San asked with a wide, unsettling smile. "Don’t worry. I’ll take very good care of you from now on."

Although he had been hiding his identity for many years and most of his cultivation had long since faded, Zhang San still possessed a strange secret technique.

That technique allowed him to see the sins carried by a person’s soul.

The darker and more wicked the person had been in life, the more he could draw from them during the twisted rituals he practiced.

And when Zhang San looked at Guo Han, what he saw made his eyes shine with excitement.

Guo Han’s life had been filled with countless sins.

Inside his unmoving body, Guo Han’s mind was in complete chaos.

No, no, no, no! That hole is not for that kind of use!!! he screamed internally in pure terror.

The same kind of desperate screams he had once enjoyed hearing from his own victims now echoed inside his own mind.

But no matter how loudly he shouted in his thoughts, Zhang San could not hear a single word.
