Chapter 84: Chapter 84 Is Your Cultivation Base High, or Are You Just Happy to See Me?

Some people were simply born with debuffs, and a few unlucky souls have to carry many of them for their entire lives.

"Alright," Lin Feng said calmly. "Take a seat. I’ll start class shortly."

Yuan Bao immediately complied.

His eyes darted around the room before settling on the chair closest to the three lovely women.

Without hesitation, he shuffled over, but instead of sitting down right away, he carefully lowered himself, inch by inch, as if approaching a fragile artifact.

He had long since lost count of how many chairs he had destroyed just by sitting on them.

Some had snapped instantly, others had collapsed with a dramatic crash, and a few had survived only to crack a moment later, betraying him at the worst possible time.

Because of this, Yuan Bao had developed a cautious ritual whenever he sat down.

In his heart, he reasoned confidently...

It’s not my fault. I’m simply too important a young man. Only the finest, most well-crafted chairs are worthy of bearing my noble form.

"Creak!"

The chair let out a strange, almost pitiful sound, causing Yuan Bao’s entire body to stiffen.

His heart skipped a beat, and he froze in place, not daring to breathe.

For a brief moment, he was certain that disaster was imminent.

...But nothing happened.

The chair held.

Still unconvinced, Yuan Bao shifted his weight slightly, then again, subtly rocking his hips to test its strength.

He repeated this a few times, watching the chair closely as if expecting it to suddenly betray him.

Only after several cautious movements did he finally relax.

Letting out a quiet sigh of relief, he leaned back, crossing his arms and adopting a posture of perfect calm and confidence, as though he had never doubted the chair in the first place.

This chair... it’s actually superbly made, he thought, genuinely impressed.

He then glanced toward Lin Feng, his gaze filled with admiration and awe.

In that moment, only a single thought remained in his mind:

Teacher Lin Feng truly is a man full of mystery... and so much more.

Little did Yuan Bao know, Lin Feng had upgraded every piece of equipment in the classroom to an absurd degree.

He did not want his students to suffer even the slightest discomfort.

Every chair, desk, and table was crafted with precision, blending both strength and elegance, so much so that even an elder dragon could sit in one of these chairs and feel as though they were resting upon a throne forged for kings.

The fabric, the wood, the cushioning... every detail was perfected, as if the furniture itself understood the importance of status, posture, and poise.

Yuan Bao had never seen anything like it.

Lin Feng’s calm voice broke through his awe. "Is the chair to your liking, Yuan Bao?"

"It is, Teacher Lin Feng! I’ve never sat in a more comfortable chair in my entire life! Can I... can I buy one of these chairs from you, Teacher? I’ll pay anything!" Yuan Bao’s excitement bubbled over.

Lin Feng shook his head slightly, suppressing a small smile.

"Nope. They’re the academy’s property, and no amount of gold will change that."

Yuan Bao’s grin faltered for a moment, but only for a moment.

"Ah... well, I’ll just admire it while I can!" he said, puffing out his chest as if he were already claiming some invisible victory.

Lin Feng observed his newest student with a calm intensity.

"Now, let’s discuss your problem of finding a dao companion," he began. "I already told you that she might not have been born yet. If that’s the case, Yuan Bao, it is actually the best scenario you could hope for. All you would need to do is grow stronger, train diligently, and live a long life. When she is ready, you will be ready."

Yuan Bao listened, nodding slowly, though a tiny seed of anxiety had begun to sprout in his mind.

Lin Feng continued, his tone sharpening.

"But in the unfortunate case that she already exists in this world, then you will need to make sacrifices. You must understand, women are naturally drawn to men who are fit, strong, and capable. That means you need to lose weight, strengthen your body, and undergo rigorous physical training. There is no shortcut. No one will take a man seriously if he cannot even support his own form." 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

Yuan Bao’s eyes widened in alarm.

"But... but Teacher Lin Feng, isn’t that... fake? Isn’t it better to find a woman who loves me for who I truly am? The physical aspects shouldn’t matter at all, right?"

Lin Feng’s gaze sharpened, his tone patient but firm. "Ah... that’s where you’re wrong, Yuan Bao. Physical attraction is only the beginning... a small part, perhaps, but a necessary one. From simple attraction grows the eternal spring of love. You need to capture her attention first... otherwise, it will feel as though you’re speaking to empty air. No matter how good your heart is, or how sincere your intentions are, if she cannot even notice you, your feelings might as well not exist."

Yuan Bao blinked, his mind spinning.

So it’s not just about being myself... I have to become someone who can even be seen first?

The realization hit him harder than he expected.

This is... a long road... but it makes sense. If no one notices me, then how could love ever grow?

He shifted nervously in his chair, imagining himself as he was now versus the man he would need to become... stronger, fitter, disciplined, and absolutely attractive to the opposite sex.

It was daunting, but beneath the nervousness, a spark of determination flared.

"I... I see, Teacher Lin Feng," he said, finally finding his voice.

"So, first I have to become a man worth noticing. Then... only then can love take root."

Lin Feng inclined his head once, approvingly. "Exactly. Once a woman is drawn to you, your heart, your intentions, and your character will matter... everything else will follow naturally. But first... you must make yourself someone worth noticing. Only then will your words, your feelings, and your sincerity reach her. Otherwise... it would be like speaking into a void, where no one could hear or feel your words."
