I Just Wanted to Teach Cultivation, But Goddesses Keep Coming!-Chapter 94 “Satisfy Me or Face the Heavenly Tribulation!”
As they walked, Ye Jian’s mind raced.
He’s... so composed. So calm. And yet... so unpredictable. Every action feels deliberate, and yet I can’t tell what he’s thinking. Is he really that self-controlled... or is he hiding something deeper?
Her thoughts flickered back to Ning Xi.
That girl has already thrown herself at him openly... yet he doesn’t even seem tempted. Or perhaps he’s playing some deeper game I don’t yet understand.
Lin Feng, meanwhile, walked with hands clasped behind his back, his expression neutral, but his mind was far from idle.
After a brief pause, Ye Jian finally spoke again, her voice playful but carrying an unmistakable edge of curiosity.
"What about me, Teacher Lin Feng?" she asked, stopping mid-step and letting her gaze settle on him like a hunter sizing up her prey.
"What if I were serious about pursuing you? Would you reject my advances the same way you’re rejecting poor little teacher Ning Xi?"
Lin Feng turned to face her, his expression calm and unreadable.
The sun caught the edges of his hair, and the faint breeze lifted his robes, giving him an effortless air of composure.
Ye Jian’s emerald eyes sparkled, and she allowed herself a small, teasing smile.
She subtly shifted her stance, accentuating her figure in a way that could make any ordinary man stumble... her huge twin assets naturally prominent, her posture confident and seductive.
Any ordinary man would have been trapped, drooling helplessly, lost in the intoxicating sight before them.
But Lin Feng... Lin Feng remained unmoved.
His eyes met hers steadily, the corners of his lips barely twitching, his handsome face maintaining an almost impossible calm.
"Yes," he said slowly, deliberately. "I think it would be highly unprofessional for two teachers in the same academy to become romantically involved. Such a relationship would be a recipe for chaos, not only for us but for the students and the institution as a whole. So yes, I would say thank you for your feelings, i have seen them, but I simply cannot reciprocate them."
Ye Jian blinked in surprise at his seriousness, then arched an eyebrow. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"Professionalism?" she murmured, a laugh hiding behind the words, her tone teasing. "I suppose that’s one way to put it. But surely... it’s not impossible to balance both, is it?"
Lin Feng’s gaze roamed over her from head to toe, calm, calculating, and full of respect rather than desire.
"Even if it were possible," he replied thoughtfully, "I would still decline. I believe it is far wiser to keep relationships and duty separate. Besides..." He paused, giving a small nod, acknowledging her presence with genuine admiration.
"I don’t doubt that you are not lacking in suitors. With a beauty and talent such as yours, Teacher Ye Jian, it would be impossible for men not to seek your attention."
Ye Jian’s teasing smile softened slightly at his words, though she couldn’t hide the flicker of surprise that crossed her face.
Most men, when confronted with her allure, either faltered or behaved foolishly, their thoughts clouded by lust or fear.
Lin Feng’s composure, his respect, and his clear-eyed honesty were unlike anything she had encountered before.
It was... unusual. Intriguing.
"Well, that proposal is open as long as I am still acting as your dao protector, Teacher Lin Feng," Ye Jian teased, a playful glint in her emerald eyes.
"Once this month is over, don’t come crying or regretting that you didn’t take me as your dao companion. I’ve had countless men kneeling before me, begging just for a glimpse, a word, or even the time of day."
Lin Feng’s expression remained calm, almost unreadable, though his sharp eyes flicked over her briefly.
"I’m not surprised to hear that at all, Teacher Ye Jian," he replied evenly, his voice carrying quiet certainty.
Inwardly, he shook his head ever so slightly.
No matter how enticing, how radiant, or how irresistible she is... I cannot compromise my principles. It doesn’t even matter if I end up a lonely, single virgin dog in this second life also!
Just as he had resisted the advances of his students in the past... those who had shamelessly offered themselves in exchange for favor or a passing grade in class... he would not bend now, even for someone as exquisite as Teacher Ye Jian.
He set his jaw lightly, reminding himself that personal desires must never interfere with duty.
Ye Jian, noticing the calm determination in his gaze, tilted her head slightly, a smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
She could tell that her playful teasing, as irresistible as it might seem to any other man, was utterly ineffective on him.
And in that moment, she felt both exasperation and admiration.
Interesting... this mysterious young master truly is unlike anyone I’ve ever encountered.
A few minutes later, Lin Feng and Ye Jian finally arrived at his courtyard.
The gates slid open smoothly, revealing a peaceful scene.
The courtyard was impossibly large, far too luxurious for a single man or even for a family of modest means.
Marble tiles reflected the sunlight in subtle patterns, carefully tended bonsai trees lined the edges of the garden, and rare herbs and flowers perfumed the air with a faint, intoxicating scent.
"You can go back now, Teacher Ye Jian," Lin Feng said, turning to face her with his usual composed, unshakable demeanor.
"I’m inside the academy premises, and I’m certain that no one would be foolish enough to harm me here. Thank you for your care today."
He stepped forward into the courtyard, moving with the effortless grace that had become so familiar.
Hands clasped behind his back, shoulders relaxed, every step carried a subtle confidence that made him look like he belonged in this space by right, as if it were an extension of himself rather than a residence.
Ye Jian didn’t immediately move to leave.
Her emerald eyes followed him closely, studying his movements with curiosity and a hint of admiration.
"We don’t need to worry about me, Teacher Lin Feng," she said softly.
"I don’t have any classes to teach at the moment, unlike you and little Ning Xi, so I have all the time in the world. And... I find talking to you very refreshing. You’re mysterious, unpredictable, and I hope to uncover one or two more secrets about you today." Ye Jian followed Lin Feng deeper into his courtyard, fully intending to stay for much longer.
