Chapter 528: Chapter 511 Lake Heart Island

The Young God’s drowsiness came too quickly, and Mu Ying was not prepared at all.

Both Divine Body and Divine Soul were sleeping, and she didn’t know how much time had passed before she finally showed signs of awakening.

The green eyes stared at the habitat’s dome, still a bit confused. As memory returned and she realized what had happened, she quickly left the Trial World to check in with reality for a moment.

Since hatching, another nine hours of Trial Time had been consumed.

Back in the World of Gods, Mu Ying sat up, rubbing her eyes. The "blue blanket" on her immediately whooshed up, nervously shaking off a string of water droplets.

"Little Master, have you awakened?" The Lake Goddess had entrusted it with a task and it had been keeping that in mind all along, fearing it had not done well. Now it hurriedly said, "Master said you can move freely within the lake boundary, Nicole will protect you!"

Mu Ying nodded and gestured to Nicole.

Nicole: ???

"Come closer," said Mu Ying in a hushed voice.

Nicole quickly floated over to her side.

Mu Ying, looking at the bed opposite where Maeve’s mother was lying on her side facing her, continued in a whisper, "Is mother also asleep?"

During the bout of drowsiness before, she had heard Maeve’s mother seemed to be saying something, but at that time she really hadn’t heard it clearly.

Though Nicole didn’t know why the Little Young God wanted to speak so softly, she also tried to cooperate and whispered back, "Yes, Master has just taken over as the Lake Goddess of this Small World, and she needs to first receive the Water Law that governs it. The laws of the lake are much more complex than those of springs, and require more time. Oh, and Master told me to tell you that you can’t go ashore before she awakens. Once she’s awake, she will take you to visit the nearby Mountain God and find you a companion; then you’ll be able to go to the nearby shore!"

Mu Ying didn’t really mind not being able to go ashore.

Maeve’s mother was probably worried that she would sneak ashore out of boredom, and so had said she would take her to visit the Mountain God to find a playmate once she was awake.

She wasn’t a newly born Young God who truly had never seen anything before, and it was only temporarily that she needn’t go ashore.

She understood that Maeve’s mother was considering her safety; within the lake boundary, Maeve’s mother could protect her fully. Outside the lake boundary, who knew what dangers there might be?

Since she was a Young God who hadn’t hatched long ago, it was best to obediently follow her mother’s instructions. Those places could naturally be visited once she was older.

More than going ashore, Mu Ying was curious about Maeve’s mother’s work methods and content.

Compared to the previous two Trial Worlds, the World of Gods was much more unfamiliar to her, and so far, she had not found anything closely connected to her past life in Blue Star’s culture.

"Nicole doesn’t know, everything just mentioned was from the Master. This is the first time the Master has changed jobs since Nicole was born; what it was like before, Nicole doesn’t know either." Nicole was slightly frustrated. She would definitely ask the Master when she woke up and then answer the Little Master’s question.

Mu Ying nodded, then continued to ask, "How long did I sleep?"

"Nicole knows this, you slept for nine years," said Nicole with certainty.

If nine hours of Trial Time were consumed, did that mean one hour in reality equated to one year in the World of Gods?

By that calculation, in a little over three days, not even four days in reality, she would grow to be a hundred years old and could then test for her Talent!

Now Mu Ying understood why the perception of time for a god was like this; a little sleep, and several years passed, pretty much the same as sleeping for a few hours.

If one could sleep like this, then a hundred years would pass by very quickly.

With Maeve’s mother in deep sleep and concerned about making noise that might affect her work, Mu Ying climbed out of bed and stepped out of the habitat.

The outside was still a sizzling summer day, much the same as when she had fallen asleep.

Standing on the surface of the lake, she looked down at her reflection.

She still had little arms and legs, not much different from before she slept, probably having grown from one year old to about one year and a few months old, not much change.

However, what Mu Ying cared about the most was her hair, "Nicole, did I lose some of my hair?"

She gently tugged at it, with such tightness, such firmness, how could it possibly fall out?

"It’s not lost, it’s been absorbed by you, and that’s a good thing," said Nicole.

"What do you mean?" Mu Ying didn’t understand. Being bald is so ugly!

Having followed the Master through the nurturing manual, Nicole had become somewhat of a childcare expert and wasn’t stumped by these issues, "The hair of a Young God before the age of one hundred isn’t real hair, but excess nutrients that weren’t fully absorbed during the nurturing process. The less hair at birth indicates the better the development during nurturing. Young Master, you are particularly excellent in this regard.

Once all the hair has been absorbed, the Young God’s Divine Body and Talent for Divine Power will slowly stabilize, and that will be the best time to conduct the Talent test.

After finishing the Talent test and absorbing the Inheritance Seed, the Young God will gradually grow real hair."

After listening, Mu Ying pictured a bunch of bald toddlers in her mind, her emotions complex.

She didn’t know whether to be sad about being bald for another ninety-one years or relieved that she wasn’t the only one—all newly hatched Little Young Gods were bald, and would become even balder with time.

Gathering her spirits, she ran with Nicole toward Lake Heart Island not far away.

From the lake, the Island seemed to have a dense little forest, bustling with shrubs and thorns. Aside from the chirping birds, there were no traces of other animals.

As a Druid, the first thing to do in a new world was to look for any new and unique plants.

Although at a glance, the plants in this small forest seemed to be common species from before the apocalypse, Mu Ying still wanted to take a closer look.

She carefully parted the thorns and shrubs and entered the forest, but just a few steps in, she noticed something different.

Her delicate and tender little body crashed through the thorns without sustaining any damage.

The thorns brushed against her skin like feathers, not even leaving a white mark. The dry branches on the ground snapped crisply under her feet, but her little soles felt no pain.

She realized the physical strength of the Divine Race might be out of the ordinary. To test further, Mu Ying found a withered tree on the island, threw a small punch, and the tree fell with a crash.

Mu Ying was startled.

Was the tree rotten through? How could it fall over so easily?

Her hand barely hurt.

She then found a large rock and punched it, leaving a small dent in the stone.

Nicole watched patiently as she moved her body around, "Little Master is so energetic!"

Mu Ying walked around Lake Heart Island but soon lost interest; there was nothing special. She found her own body more fascinating than Lake Heart Island.

Sending a punch here and a kick there, she wreaked havoc on Lake Heart Island, reveling in her strongman body and never growing tired of the fun.
