His grip slightly twisted, he directed the edge of the sword towards Leon.
’A simple thrust? Is this guy not in the right mind or something?’
But right before his sword made an impact with Leon, his grip switched. Twisted the sword, grabbed it with both hands as he lifted it in the air.
’Wait, that’s not a thrust.’
Leon twisted his body, changed the direction of his sword as he buckled his knees next to the wall and leapt into the air.
He landed on his two feet, this time behind Jeffrey.
Dashed towards him, directed his sword towards Jeffrey’s neck as he swung it in a clean arc.
Dark mana of his shot through the edges of the blade, and the shadows which the sword had engulfed shot out instantly.
Clutching Jeffrey’s thighs, binding him in one place.
Leon slashed through Jeffrey’s neck in a single, decisive motion.
The head tore free from his body and hit the ground with a wet snap. Blood burst from the severed wound, splattering across the floor as the corpse collapsed lifelessly behind it.
"And this psychopath was trying to say all that rat thing to me? Pathetic." Leon muttered.
The moment he turned around, a wet liquid started to flow out through his mouth.
He raised his hand, touched it, and brought it in front of his gaze. "Blood!?" He muttered.

His head shot towards the direction where Jeffrey’s corpse had fallen.
He noticed that it wasn’t there anymore. Leon’s gaze shifted, scanned the entire chamber, but wasn’t able to find even a small trace of Jeffrey.
Leon noticed a faint crack in the middle of space. "I can see that you’re hiding in there. Get out of there."
"You keep calling me a rat, but your fighting style falls in that criteria," Leon said.
Jeffrey took the bait, and he finally blew his cover as he appeared right in front of Leon’s. "Don’t call me a rat!!" He said, his voice loud.
"Then don’t fight like one," Leon said, shrugging lightly.
A vein popped out through Jeffrey’s temple, but his wicked grin remained intact.
He didn’t wait for even a second before dashing towards Leon.
He had his sword in his left hand this time, and even his grip seemed suspicious.
’Using the left hand, and a different grip? What’s with this psychotic man?
Leon lowered his left leg lightly, pointing his sword in front of Jeffrey. Both of them collided, and sparks appeared through their blades.
Leon lifted his leg, twisted it as he landed a blow right into the ribs of Jeffrey.
But he didn’t feel any pain, instead his grin widened. "You rat, none of your attacks will work on me anymore."
A loud snap echoed inside the room, sounding like someone had got their ribs broken.
A sharp pain shot through Leon’s chest, lips parted as a groan left his mouth. "Ugh!!"
’I’ve figured out something... he doesn’t suffer the pain, but the one who’s damaging him does.’
"I don’t know what you did, but you really fight like a rat," Leon said.
Jeffrey got even more enraged and dashed towards Leon. "I said, don’t call me a RAT!!" He said, shouting on top of his lungs.
Leon dodged, and pain still lingered inside his body. ’I have to use a potion... I took a fatal blow just now.’

Leon took deep breaths, trying to let his ragged breathing come under control. ’I have to find a way to finish this fight, or else I’ll be dying today.’
Jeffrey swung his sword again, this time it was directed towards Leon’s temple.
Leon didn’t waste any time, took a step back as he raised his sword, and reflected the strike.
’For now, I’ll just divert his blows... I can’t do anything else, even my potions are limited’

"Well now," Draviel said as he walked into the other chamber, aligned to the one in which Leon was fighting Jeffrey.
"Do you truly believe you are entitled to interfere in this battle while I am here?" Gaze scanning, Victor.
Draviel’s unsettling aura wrapped around Victor’s body, slowly circled him whole.
His body began trembling, got completely drenched in sweat as he fell on his knees.
"W-Who are you..." Victor said, barely maintaining his consciousness.
"So you managed to withstand a sliver of my presence. Very well, mortal,"
"You may take your spot on my list of dirt," Draviel said, voice deep.
Victor’s body wrapped around his aura, a wave of colour blue surrounded his body as he pushed himself back up.
He still struggled to maintain his posture, but still matched eyes with Draviel.
A vein popped at Draviel’s temple, yet his expression remained as cold as ever. An unsettling chill spread around him as he said,
"A dirt particle like you dares to meet my gaze?"
A faint smirk twisted his lips. "Very well, I shall give you a chance,"
"This is your chance to prove your loyalty as a knight. Do not disappoint me."
Victor got a hold of himself, unsheathing his sword as his grip tightened. ’I can’t die here.’
He looked at Valleria through the side of his eye and then back at Draviel.
"You don’t have multiple chances. I might change my mind any second." Draviel said, pointing his finger towards Victor.
"If you even graze a single strand of my hair, I’ll let you live." He said.
A sense of hope flickered on Victor’s face. ’I can at least touch his hair... killing him is a little too much, but touching his hair might be possible.’
