I Regressed With a 10,000x God-Tier Multiplier-Chapter 21: The Inventory of Gods
Lucifer walked down the wide stone steps from the balcony. He returned to the main floor of the ruined cathedral.
The air was finally clearing. The toxic green sludge that had covered the stone was completely gone, neutralized by the death of Lord Vane.
Only the smoking craters and melted bone pews remained.
Lucifer’s boots crunched against the debris, Elara and Sarah walked a few paces behind him.
"The residual magic is completely gone," Elara noted. She swept her golden eyes over the dark corners of the cathedral. "The Lich left nothing behind but ash."
"He left his core drops," Lucifer corrected.
He walked to the exact center of the room. This was where his True Damage strike had pinned the Lich’s skull to the floor. A thick pile of gray, powdery ash sat on the cracked stone.
Lucifer knelt. He did not use a generic system menu to store his items. He stores it in his Dimensional Vault, a spatial storage pocket bound directly to his soul.
He reached his right hand into the pile of ash. His armored fingers brushed against something hard and cold.
Lucifer pulled the object out. It was a dull, rusted iron ring. A cracked piece of gray glass sat in the center of the band. It looked like trash. It was the Lich’s backup amulet ring, drained of all its power.
Lucifer held the ring in his palm. He did not throw it away. He let his soul resonate with the item.
[Divine Talent: Apex Multiplier Activated!]
[Applying 10,000x multiplier to Loot Rarity...]
The rusted iron band violently vibrated in his hand. The rust flaked away, turning into dust. The iron shifted, purifying itself into a band of solid, flawless platinum.
The cracked gray glass in the center absorbed the multiplier’s energy. It expanded, turning into a massive, tear-shaped ruby.
The ruby immediately began to pulse. It throbbed with a warm, steady rhythm, exactly like a human heartbeat.
[Item Upgraded: Tear of the Phoenix]
[Tier: Legendary Artifact]
[Type: Accessory / Ring]
[Effect: Grants the wearer one automatic resurrection upon fatal damage. Restores Health and Mana to 100% upon revival. Cooldown: 12 Hours.]
Lucifer stared at the blue interface.
He let out a slow, steady breath. In his past life, he had died. He remembered the absolute cold of the dark that followed. Death was the one thing he feared.
Now, he held a second life in his hand.
Lucifer slid the platinum band onto his right index finger. The ring resized itself perfectly. The moment the ruby touched his skin, a surge of intense, comforting warmth flooded his veins. The heartbeat of the ring synchronized with his own pulse.
"What is that?" Sarah asked softly. She stepped up beside him, her cosmic eyes locked onto the pulsing ruby. "It feels like... pure life."
"It is an insurance policy," Lucifer said simply. He did not elaborate. He closed his Dimensional Vault and stood up.
He scanned the rest of the cathedral floor. His Void Arcanist senses allowed him to see the flow of magic in the room. He spotted a thick cluster of residual dark energy near the shattered remains of the Altar of Decay.
Lucifer walked over to the rubble. He kicked a broken slab of black stone aside.
Lying in the dirt was the weapon dropped by High Necromancer Voris. It was a long staff made of fused human spines.
Toxic green sludge oozed from the bone, hissing as it touched the air. The weapon was heavily cursed. Anyone who touched it without a necrotic alignment would suffer instant flesh decay.
Lucifer reached down and grabbed the staff with his bare hand.
The green sludge immediately flared. It tried to wrap around Lucifer’s wrist, attempting to eat through his skin.
Lucifer’s eyes swirled. He did not cast a purification spell. He simply opened a microscopic gravity well in the center of his palm.
The Void devoured the corruption. Black lightning crackled around Lucifer’s hand, pulling the toxic green magic directly into the singularity.
The green sludge shrieked, resisting the pull, but the Void’s hunger was absolute. In a matter of seconds, every ounce of necrotic magic was stripped from the staff and crushed into nothingness.
With the corruption gone, the true form of the weapon was revealed.
The fused spines shifted, straightening out into a smooth, elegant shaft of pale ashwood. The core of the staff glowed with a faint, internal starlight.
At the top of the weapon, a green crystal purified itself into a perfectly round, blindingly bright violet orb.
[Item Purified & Upgraded: Scepter of Cosmic Alignment]
[Tier: Mythic Weapon]
[Stat Bonus: +500 Intelligence, +500 Mana Regeneration]
[Effect 1: Amplifies all Star and Cosmic magic damage by 300%.]
[Effect 2: Reduces the mana cost of all Oracle spells by 50%.]
Lucifer gripped the smooth ashwood. The weapon hummed with pure, celestial power. It was light, perfectly balanced, and radiated a comforting warmth.
He turned around.
Sarah was standing a few yards away. She was leaning heavily against a broken bone pew, her breathing shallow.
She had exhausted almost all her magic trying to protect Lucifer from the Death Cloud, and the lingering pain from the altar chains still racked her frail body.
Lucifer walked over to her. He held the Scepter of Cosmic Alignment out in front of him.
"Take this," Lucifer ordered.
Sarah blinked. She looked at the glowing violet orb, then up at Lucifer’s swirling void eyes. She hesitated. She tucked her trembling, blood-stained hands against her chest.
"I... I cannot," Sarah whispered. "That is a Mythic weapon. It holds the power of the cosmos. I am too weak. I will only slow you down."
In her entire life, Sarah had been treated as a tool. The Church used her for her prophecies. The Cult of Decay kidnapped her to use her starlight as a battery.
People only took things from her. No one had ever given her a weapon. No one had ever told her to fight back.
"You are an Oracle," Lucifer said. His voice was firm, leaving no room for argument. "You saw the end of the world. You know exactly what is coming. I do not need a fragile prophet hiding behind my shield. I need a queen who can tear the sky down with me."
Sarah’s breath hitched. A fresh tear spilled down her pale cheek.
Elara stepped up behind Lucifer. She smiled softly at the Oracle. "Take it, Sarah. He does not offer gifts lightly. He offers power to those who will stand by his side."
Sarah slowly reached out. Her trembling fingers brushed against the smooth ashwood.
The moment she touched the staff, the violet orb at the top flared with blinding light. The Scepter recognized its master. A wave of pure, cosmic energy rushed up Sarah’s arm. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
The fatigue vanished from her face. The bloodstains on her white dress turned into glowing silver ash and floated away, leaving the fabric pristine.
The raw, magical burns on her wrists healed instantly, leaving smooth, flawless skin.
Sarah wrapped both hands around the staff. She stood up perfectly straight. The starlight radiating from her hair intensified, bathing the entire ruined cathedral in a brilliant, pure silver glow. The swirling cosmos in her eyes burned with newfound authority.
She looked at the Scepter, then at Lucifer.
"I am no longer a prisoner," Sarah stated. Her musical voice carried a sharp, powerful edge.
"No," Lucifer agreed. He gave her a single nod. "You are the Star-Touched. And anyone who tries to chain you again will die."
Sarah gripped the Scepter tightly. She stepped forward, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Elara. The Fallen Valkyrie and the Oracle formed an unbreakable line behind their Warlord.
Lucifer turned toward the massive exit of the cathedral.
He tapped his comms rune. "Captain. What is the status of the Star-Kissed Elves?"
"They are fully recovered, Warlord," the Captain reported. "They have gathered their weapons. They are awaiting your command."
"Form the ranks in the central courtyard," Lucifer ordered. "We are leaving the Deep Roads."
"Understood!"
Lucifer walked out of the cathedral and stepped onto the balcony overlooking the fortress.
The courtyard below was no longer a chaotic mess of cultists. The Cryo-Vanguards stood in a perfect, rigid block of ice-crystal armor. To their left, nearly two thousand Star-Kissed Elves had formed up in disciplined ranks.
Their pale skin and silver hair glowed faintly in the dark. They held their bows and short swords at the ready.
When Lucifer stepped to the edge of the balcony, the entire army fell silent.
The Elves looked up at him. They saw the man who had shattered the Altar of Decay. They saw the Warlord with the Void in his eyes, flanked by two women of divine light.
The Elven commander, a tall woman with silver armor and a scarred face, stepped forward. She dropped to one knee and drove her sword into the stone floor. Instantly, all two thousand Star-Kissed Elves dropped to their knees in perfect unison.
"We are the children of the stars," the Elven commander shouted, her voice ringing clear across the cavern. "You broke the dark. We pledge our bows to the Lord of Obsidian!"
[System: Faction Allegiance Confirmed.]
[The Star-Kissed Elves have joined your command.]
[Troop Count: +2,000 Elite Archers/Assassins]
Lucifer looked down at his new legion. He had come down here to stop a plague and clear a zone. He was leaving as a Tier 2 Warlord, a Void Arcanist, and the commander of an army that could rival a royal battalion.
"Rise!" Lucifer commanded.
The army stood up as one.
"We march for the surface," Lucifer announced. His voice echoed like thunder, amplified by his Void magic. "We return to the Citadel of Obsidian. We begin the real war."
He turned away from the balcony. Elara and Sarah followed his lead. They marched down the spiraling bone stairs, crossed the massive courtyard, and walked out the shattered front gates of the fortress.
Behind them, the army fell into step. The heavy boots of the Vanguards and the silent strides of the Elves created a rhythmic, terrifying beat that echoed through the Deep Roads.
Lucifer did not look back. He kept his eyes fixed on the long tunnel leading to the surface. He had power. He had wealth. He had loyal allies. Now, he needed to build his kingdom.
